A single cache can inspire a grand trip and this of course is the one. Dreams of a Mingo pilgrimage have finally come true! I knew what to expect here from previous photos but it is still an awesome location just due to the history. The smile of getting this find stayed on my face all the way across Kansas.

Kyturkey and I are out on a 4 day, 8 state, geocaching road trip. We've got a great variety of caches to visit and new and interesting places to see. Most the time was spent driving but that gave us a chance to listen to the daily farm report on YouTube, time for views of a mega ton of corn in Iowa, time for listening to some random radio chatter and classic rock, time to talk about solving the worlds problems and time for some good laughs along the way. A very memorable trip filled with great caches from many hiders. Thanks for the fun!

This was the main target for our visit to the Salt Lake City from Kentucky. The drive out was very scenic and enjoyable this morning. I came down the 11 miles on Miller Flat Rd from north to south. There were campers and people using the area all along.

Once to parking, I elected to park at the sign as the final possible parking was a little too rough looking for the rental sedan I was driving. Once on the trail after having to return to the car once for my forgotten pen, I made my way back to the creek crossing. The large log provided the best approach and was plenty wide enough for balance. Once to the other side of the creek the trail is worn and obvious.

After making my way up the trail, I walked up to GZ the same moment at Gravyman. We shared the find and our visit before he headed back down the trail while I checked out trackables and fed the mosquitoes.

On the way back down I made good time but got distracted by one more cache in the area to grab. Made the leap across the creek on the way out. Just wanted to prove I still have some hops. Thanks for the fun!

Very much a primary target cache here today as we visit from Kentucky. I had hiked with Winos_Seattle earlier today who recounted for me some of the effort to get this back into play. I have always dreamed of getting this icon and making the find on this rare cache. Today was just the day. We arrived in Seattle this morning and after checking into the hotel this was at the top of the list of stops for the day. That was a fantastic hike back through the tunnel as I had been experiencing some heat on the trail to GCD earlier. Enjoyed playing with the light on at times and off others. And then this treasure in the end of the hike was just fantastic. Got to take time at the location and get plenty of pics and take in the views. Thanks for the fun!

We left Niagara Falls this morning, drove to The Spot and now arriving here to almost finish out our day. Really enjoy getting the old ones when we can so this was a must on our trip. Nice grassy walk most the way then a slight muddy trail near the final. Another great oldie in the books. Thanks for the fun!

Now this is what old school geocaching is all about. A walk into the woods to see nature's beauty and find an ammo can along the way! This was our main target in NY after leaving Niagara Falls this morning. Beautiful drive for us down from Rochester and after as we headed towards Buffalo. A great experience and location. Great to have another real old one found. Thanks for the fun!

On our trip home from Oklahoma this cache was a primary target. Wanted to get the oldest hide in the state and this was a nice one. The gorilla was friendly and the container was well done and definitely standing the test of time. We took some pictures, grabbed some TBs, dropped off some TBs and of course signed the log. Thanks for the fun!

We ported in Cozumel while cruising on the Carnival Conquest. Unfortunatly our ship arrived 1 hour late and part of our party didn't get off timely. This put us behind the whole day and made everything a major rush. Our time at the Ruins was a little short but we still took in all we could and enjoyed the visit. Thanks for the fun!

Mission numero uno today was to make the find on this oldie cache. Parked my yak on the opposite side of the island and made the short hike over. Made the find easy and even searched the area downhill for the now missing original ammo can with no luck. So glad to get another 2000 hide month checked off my list. I managed to make the find while on a 2 hour, 4.5 mile kayak tour on the lake today. Thanks for the fun!

Didn’t need to “Rest” but I stopped by to cache anyway. Nice walk to the cache and easy find once I got there. Thanks for the fun!

It was raining in downtown Louisville so I crossed the river to see if it was dryer on the other side. Great to be able to visit the Paddles in a somewhat dry circumstance. Thanks for the fun!

The pictures online does not do the lady justice. Awesome story and more awesome statue. A true work of art. Thanks for the fun!

In planning our trip to DC for vacation, I wanted to stop and get this year 2000 hide. The girl at the gate was kind enough to allow us to enter without paying the posted out of state $10 fee after I told her I was just going to get a geocache and not stick around long. A busy park today but no one came along as we hunted. Finally found it but the coords kept jumping around like crazy. Thanks for the old school fun!

This was our 4th visit to Disney and we have had a great time every visit. There was a show going on in front of the castle when we got our photo. Seems as though something is always going on here. Have still never saw Tinker Bell Sad
