Logs for geocat_

On a Geocaching "super adventure" with Buckeye1020 from Ohio. Here in Georgia to get two caches on Lake Lanier that I need for my Jasmer grid. This was an amazing day of caching including kayaking to a couple of islands on the lake, a total of 7, 5T caches (only 3 were on the actual lake), and an abandoned campground which was like a scene from "The Walking Dead." Mr. Grimm tagged along except on the kayak and was a real trooper.
This was the first find of the day and one of the Jasmer fillers. Beautiful morning kayak trip on a beautiful lake!
RIP Mrs. geocat

Out with morel mushroom girl and jamzt on a wild west geocaching tour of the United States. Drove almost 6800 miles in 10 days covering 20 states. Had a blast! This was just one of the stops we made along our wild ride. We thought we were going to get over 500 finds on the ET power trail but stopped at 300 due to having a terrible night's sleep the previous night (slept in the car as no hotels were available) and getting a late start didn't help either. Also wanted to save time for the oldest find in Nevada. Even with all these excuses we enjoyed finding the 300 we did find, but can't imagine how anyone can keep going to and past 1000 of these in a day! Thanks for the world famous power trail cache!

Nice diversion from our long drive.

Was pleasantly surprised to find an Earthcache during our pit stop on our long trip. Loved learning more about all the cool geological formations we have been seeing. Thanks for the fun!

Found this one on my way to Washington DC. I had fun on my long drive. I drove even further one afternoon just to get this one for my Jasmer grid. Smile This one took longer than it should have with my GPSr bouncing for some reason. Finally I decided to try to do what the hint suggested and had it in hand in no time. Great location! Thanks for taking care of this oldie.

Heading from Enid, OK home to Dayton, OH with Mrs. geocat, but making a bit of a detour on the way. Heading over to get a cache in Texas, another in Colorado, and then here to grab Mingo!!! Crazy caching for sure!

I dont even know what to say about this one. Its like finding a piece of history. I have seen cooler locations, containers, and hides overall, but nothing can match the sheer coolness of finding the oldest active geocache in the world!!! Our dog, Grimm, even enjoyed sniffing this one out. Thank you so much for keeping this one going. I know it has had more than a few challenges over the years, but it is worth preserving this piece of history!

I love Earthcaches and this was no exception. Amazing to find such an abundance of geology in this huge cemetery! I really enjoyed this area in the early morning sunshine. Thanks!
