Dit ouwetje **Dwaaltuin Kernhem** lag er vanmiddag rustig bij... Alleen wat hangouderen, die gezellig op hun stoeltjes bij de auto op de P zaten... Deze is heel muggelproof verstopt!

29-Feb-20
Today it is the special day we looked for: Feb 29, Leapday! Last days we made a plan, a route so we could find the most different icons, oldies and nice D/T's on this day. Our main goal on this date is the **Project Geocaching Meets Beethoven**.
This morning 07.09u Edwyn and me arrived at the meeting point at "the Golden Arches", fifteen minutes later, Ernst was picked up at Barendrecht... Time for ACTION! Wink

The last times we visited Germany this **Neusser Markt** was saved, so we could visit it today... We found a nice parkinghaus closeby (free first hour parking), and walked toward gz.
Hold up my logvlag, so we are seeable, and got our photo taken.

After replacing the car to another P, we walked into the event location and had to ask at the desk for the geocaching event. After we where pointed into the back (or the front depends on the entrance you took). Where we met the CO and told about our goal. We weren't the first dutch today. Normaly we stay a little longer, but today it's a little different... Thanks for the warm welcome, till next time!

The **Altenberg**, was many times on our todo list, but was never visited... untill today. It was a "little" off route, but when you really want something, that's no problem. When the car was pakerd we walked uphill where we had a nice view and a found... Took a picture at the viewpoint and got donw to the virtual.

Re-visit after almost 9,5 years....

Tb-in

18-May-19
After a nice beer, i've had a good sleep... So this morning i was fresh and fruity!
Our first goal was getting some garbage out of the woods during a CITO.
When we came close to gz, i've noticed a Challenge on the same gz. No problem scoring that one...
Time for some cleaning... the first part was very clean (exept for a small "raincoat"), at the end there was more dirth but the bag was not firm enough to keep up, so we droped our booty off and moved on.

Time for some breakfast... but first a little visit at **Förster Ernst**. Some caschecollegues where already searching... untill i spotted something. Haha, nice hiding!

COFFEE!!

After placing the car at a P&R, we took the tram... nope it was the bus (way late) and noy even to the point where we want to get out... no, half way the street. If we know that, walking would have been a lot quicker.
Finaly we arived and got a logbook, thrown in our face... from a facade. After that we aimed for the Giga logbook... FOUND!

To get out of the crowd we took the tram to the station and to the citycenter for some urban caching... What a people over here, all cachers? Wink
**Berlin Hauptbahnhof** was the first... Since we got ourselves a lillte group transport ticket, i folded a sheet, so we could stamp that.

After taking the picture we took the U55 to **Virtual Reward - Brandenburger Tor**, where we could take our picture, solve the EC and did a multi... (after a nice 0.0 Erdiger).

Some time ago we booked a flight to Pisa for a bargain, This monday we flew in 1u45min from Eindhoven and got ourselves a rental. Now it is time to visit some Pisa highlites... The Torre Pendente was the main goal. We also did find some geocaches!
After checking in at the AirBNB we sat down at the Pizzeria (25mtr from our room) and had two large pizza's... mjammie.

We arrived this Tuesday morning by train in Roma and after getting thrue the wall of bustour sellers we started walking mile after mile... What a superb city, but what was i glad we got here bij train... the traffic is outrageous over here!

It was great visiting all these great places, i only know from television and books. now we walk between them. Of course we searched for some caches along the way, or was it other way around? Wink Not every cache was found, but it was fun searching for them in this outstanding weather.
We also managed to attend an event in The Vatican, where we met some nice cachers from around the world

** Thanks to all of the Cache Owners for making our trip one to REMEMBER! **

20-Sep-14
Thursday morning we took the plane from the Netherlands to San Fransisco. In the afternoon we rented a little a little car for some caching and sightseeing at The Golden Gate area. Some hours later we took the plane to Salt Lake City, where we picked up our "Bad Ass" rental car for the rest of our trip... Did some groceries and off to Mt Pleasant!
It was a good drive, but we couldn't found the right way in... So we took the road we do could find... Whahoooo, dirthroad driving in the night!
We've found this cache on our way to Potters Pond Campground, Here we could rest for a few minutes and stamp the logbook. Some time later we could drink a beer at the campground and get some sleep.

Friday we woke up, brew us some coffe and a lillte breakfast. Then up the hill, to Potters Pond...
We tought we found the right trail, but now we have to jump over the creek... We managed to get near the zero where we found the cache after some exploration of the area. Yahoo, our first Y2K cache for this week, we hope to get some more!

Back at the campground we took the car and drove off... Our next aim is getting to Yellowstone Park... but we had to do some caches and groceries on our way there...
Now we have the right track out of this area, we are driving on "glass" not the adventurous dirth road, we took last night. LPC The Non urban version, was a short walk from the road... things are getting a little stuck here, but we managed to stamp the logbook.

After some long driving, with a few caches on the rest/switch stops we come closer and closer to Yellowstone park... Now we gotta Spot a moose... In dutch you don't wanna "spot met een Moose" Wink
Now we got of the main road... A nice boundary cache in wanted to be found... Some dirth road driving later we stopped at a campground... After a small hike we found the cache. Now back to the car, the scratches on the bearbox, thrilled me a little...

This night we slept in the Grand Village, why putting up our tent? The car is big enough to hold two airmatresses in the back... While we try to get us some sleep, we hear the elk's Bugle, Bark and Grunt for a mating partner.

Saturday: After the good breakfast, coffee and showers, we hit the road again for a outstanding day in Yellowstone. We WHAUW, What a great park to visit. We drove along most of the highlights and admired nature and earth at its best. This park i will really remember!

First stop is West Thumb Geyser Basin and Crater, it is still early and it is almost surrealistic, to see all the puffin and popping around us, the walk is a one way, the boardwalk was closed at one point, so no round-a-bout.

Time for some Earthcache and Virtual "hunting"... Just because there are such great places they let us see (and the're no boxes around)! Enjoying at the max!!! Wink

After the YSP beauty's we got ourself some gas, sun, beer and WiFi... and some green boxes...
