Logs for integersmirk
27-Oct-23
Searched the obvious spots, but we felt quite exposed and didn't want to linger too long. No luck this time.
14-Oct-23
Seeing as we pass by the cache hide location a dozen times a week, it made sense to take a stroll this morning and tick it off! TFTC

Took some poking about and reading previous logs. Might be 18 years since I last found it!

Beautiful spot for a lunch break. Now to persuade the kids to walk back!
This was an easy find for Mr7yo, and great to have something to keep tired feet going on the way back from the lookout
This was a fail for us, it feels like there has been a landslide that meant either the cache is buried, or at least we got to the point where we felt unsafe to continue looking. Great spot though!
Kids had a swim here on the way back from the lookout. We finally found this one after about 10mins of looking where the GPS wanted us to look, and then thinking where *should* we look!
Quick and easy for the kids, sadly no pen on this trip. Thanks for the cache!
Great spot! We didn't intend to geocache on this walk so sadly didn't bring a pen.

Much enjoyment walking along the path, throwing stones in puddles and waving sticks around. Tftc

Massive thanks to the cache replacers... Apologies to KN... Now I am glad I was persuaded not to archive this one.
Cache replaced. Please ensure it is suitably wedged when re-hiding. Many thanks to the patience of those hunting.

Another Wednesday lunchtime stroll and a successful find, great placement (busy area but not if you know what I mean). Thanks for helping me get a bit more exercise in my life! May well be back with merrystinga soon enough.
05-Nov-14
We stopped and sat and pondered and stood and left empty handed. Not for us today!
A lunchtime stroll with a friend, we were making fine progress until we decided to stop in to Liquid Alchemy where the hospitality was fantastic - recommended! A quick find afterwards and then back to work. TFTC

A very enjoyable lunchbreak and sandwich loitering with Epicdom. Thanks for the opportunity
An easy morning stroll to re-find this container seemed like such a good idea. In reality it turned into the adventure that just kept giving but that is perhaps a story for another day. Thanks for the cache and a return to the park.

Sometimes it's all about who you know and when you choose to hang out with them... It looks like I shall miss out on the pleasure of solving this puzzle but thanks for the cache, I enjoyed helping to find it.
19-Oct-14
An opportunity arose to sign this log so we did. It is nice that there are some birdies watching over merrystinga's cache seeing as she loves them so much. Hopefully they don't get too disturbed by people coming to find the bucket! Thank you merrystinga.

(Log written 15months late sorry about that) Popped in with Kiwi_Explorer for a nice lunchtime outing. Thanks for the smiley!
22-Apr-13
The clue and perseverance combined with a vague glance at the gps meant we had this in the bag in about 5 mins. That's a decent leg stretch I reckon tftc
We had the pleasure of meeting some other cachers here which doesn't happen often enough, and is all too short when it does. Luckily we were able to share the walk from the point of interest to the cache site and back so got a few minutes more than just hello! The cache was soon in hand, I can understand why some may miss out but we got lucky with a correct cointoss at 50m and a feature that stuck out as clue-relevant at 12m under cover. quick sign and replace and back on the road. Tftc!

Another spot that has had a cache reborn over the years, but it deserves it. We had a lot of names to write in the book today, but an umbrella helped keep the logbook dry while we did it. I have never been a fan of brollies but I'm starting to think that smartphones in the rain are a problem they might just solve! TFTC
Angelic voices from within celebrated our success and gave a tune to be hummed as we strolled away. By the sounds if we had been 15min later then it may well have been muggle central, even if - with the rain - it would not have lasted for long. TFTC

It's a rare treat to stumble across a FTF opportunity especially when we only stopped for one cache between Nelson and Picton today. Many thanks to Kitty! for picking this one! Have had a few stops in and around this area over the years, nice to have another memory even if it was a bit soggy. TFTC
Kitty! and merrystinga took a breather and the rest of us took the chance to walk around in the rain for a bit. We had a lot of fun gathering the necessary info and quickly completed our tasks without errors for a quick find. The cache was not found on the first frisk of GZ but with a little bit of encouragement the spot yielded a cache. Seemed much more likely than looking anywhere else! TFTC

Does this event need a videographer? I could do that with a frontpack...
13-Apr-13
That girl is already too cheeky! What does she know about getting wet-through in the rain eh? Nice to come back and look in the right spot. There was a hedge-trimming muggle close by but he was happy to consistently look the other way whilst the deed was done. It was exposed when I found it so covered a bit better when leaving. TFTC
Hint added after a DNF reported 5 days ago and a cache check today. It's meant to be a D1 so hopefully this hint is good enough for no more DNFs!
01-Apr-13
Took a bit more poking around than hoped but given the distance of the walk there was no suggestion of stopping looking. Took a few breaks for muggles coming through but got there in the end. TFTC
This was our target today but it was further than I had imagined and we added two extensions so it turned into a longer stroll than planned. Great to be out and about though and all in all much more enjoyable time than a trip round Babycity god forbid.

Got volunteered to take the in laws to the airport this morning so took the opportunity for a ftf grab. Came up empty but that could be due to the fact that it was raining hard enough to make everything I was wearing completely soaked in about 4mins. That combined with nothing close to gz resembling the hint unless it was on private property. One for me to watch!
