Logs for kimandherboys

(8180) It was warmer than we thought it was going to be, or we may have rethought our plans to find this cache. We did, though, and it's our last cache in Sydney for the foreseeable future. Thanks so much!

(8177) A pencil! As has been our tendency this vacation, we left the hotel without a pen. We veered a little off course for this one, because I still need a ton of bridges for a challenge. Oh, how I miss the old rules! Thanks.
(8178) Bought a $3.95 pen, but found a pencil here anyway. Headed from our opera house tour to BridgeClimb. Woke up at 0430 to watch us enter the harbor, so I'm not convinced these were the best plans. Thanks for all your TFTC caches.
(8179) We are headed from the Opera House to BridgeClimb after being up since 0430 to watch our ship sail into the harbor. I'm tired. We enjoyed seeing the various authors, but nominate Christina Stead and *The People with the Dogs*. Thanks!
(8176) I had hoped there would be a pencil, since we left our hotel without one. It's been a theme this vacation. Thought about walking into the boot healer to steal one, but didn't seem right. Photos taken of me with log and vinaigrette, if desired.

(8175) We had just a few hours in Eden, so walked over here after visiting the museum. We had to wait out two people, but then easily found the cache. J is hesitant around non-Minnesotan spiders, so I had to be the one to grab and return it. Thanks!

(8172) It took me longer to roll it and put it back than it did to find and sign it. Thanks!
(8174) Our cruise ship is in port and we were incredibly excited to see the artisans here! (Although it ups the difficulty a bit.) After making some purchases and leaving my husband chatting with the blacksmith, I snuck around here to make the find, seen by no more than one person. Thanks so much! I think this is it for Burnie.

(8165) After attending the recent event here, we wandered around until I couldn't get any closer to GZ. I'm behind on logging, so took a guess at what number. Thanks! He typed the number on his phone, but it looks like the glare may have made it not visible.
(8164) After three days solely at sea and multiple attempts to get one of my boys to find a few caches at home, we are starting over on our attempted 366 days in a row. We came from the Melbourne Museum and made it just as he was putting his log book away. Thanks for creating the event!
(8166) What a beautiful cathedral! We spent a few minutes in here looking around and escaping the rain. Answers sent. Thanks so much!
(8167) Found it! We escaped a bit of the rain in the cathedral, a bit under the canopy, but at some point we had to get back to our ship. Answers sent. Thanks so much!
(8171) We've had a busy day today in Melbourne, but I wanted to do this last cache before heading back to our ship. Answers sent. Thanks so much!
(8169) Found it. It was the perfect place to escape the rain for a bit. Answers sent. Thanks!

We never know if we'll have the opportunity to cache while on tour from our cruise, but were lucky to stop here. Found the answers after a couple looks around; sent. Thanks so much! I think Dunedin is my favorite city so far.
We're here for the day from the Norwegian Spirit. This looked like the closest cache to the port, but was an effort! J meet his stair goal for the day and it's not even 9. Thanks so much. We were very impressed he was awarded the US Navy Cross by Admiral Halsey.

(8159) Despite getting off the ship early specifically to come find a couple geocaches, I completely forgot to bring a pen/pencil. I haven't heard back from the CO, so will log this. If you want to see the photos I took of the cache and me with the log, please let me know.
(8160) Despite getting off the ship early specifically to come find a couple geocaches, I completely forgot to bring a pen/pencil. I haven't heard back from the CO, so will log this. If you want to see the photos I took of the cache and me with the log, please let me know. I am very impressed that this doctor affected so many people they built him a monument!
(8161) We just visited the RAF Museum on tour from the Norwegian Spirit. We found two in Lyttelton before leaving, but didn't have a pen and am waiting for CO permission. This is our safety cache for the day, but gets a favorite for construction. Thanks so much!

We're always happy to honor beloved puppy dogs. We've lost one ourselves and have two more at home. Thanks so much!
06-Jan-24
We arrived 4 minutes to closing. The very kind librarian pointed me in the right direction. Thanks so much! We're 1.6% of the way to full year of caching.
05-Jan-24
We had just enough time before our excursion to find the answers, take a photo, and catch the bus. Thanks! We're here for the day on the Norwegian Spirit.

I dragged my husband on a walk from Coogee to hear and am very glad we survived. I had not thought of examining sand and it was so cool. Thank you for that! Answers sent. Thanks again.
I'm dragging my husband on a walk from Coogee to Bondi, partially to pick up geocaches. Imagine my dismay when I got here and realized I didn't bring a pen! I took photos of the cache and part of the log that I can send if needed. Thanks! (This ended up being our only traditional of the day because I stopped paying attention for a while and missed the easiest 3. Oops.
I dragged my husband to walk Coogee to Bondi and am very happy to have made it. There were hundreds of potholes near my childhood home, but formed by a river rather than the ocean. It's interesting to see the differences! Answers sent; thanks so much.

Found most of the answers while waiting for a large group of people taking specifically posed shots. Not at all pertinent, but we once sat next to two women who spent our entire lunch taking photos of their desserts. Weird.I can see why she would sit here. It's a gorgeous day and the breeze here is perfect. Thanks so much. Answers sent.
(8150) It probably wasn't the best idea to drag my husband with a bum leg all over the place, so I left him at the bottom of the stairs. (We still did 6 miles today.) I've never really thought about how this place was built, so I enjoyed this cache. Answers sent; thanks so much!
I looked in the wrong spot but dithered long enough for my husband to look, too. He found it. Thanks!
(8146) Yes, it's a beautiful view. It's an interesting day to be at the Garden with all the work removing barriers and such from New Year's. The fireworks would have been stunning from here. Thanks!
(8151) I hope I sent the right answers. I left my husband sitting on the steps and rushed around to find the answers, so hopefully I sent the correct ones. Thanks so much.

Thanks so much for hosting this event! It was lovely to chat with everyone.
(8143) Second find of the day. As a fan of JAG, I had to come over to see Luna Park up close. Don't worry, I didn't scream. Thanks!
(8142) We have been wandering around trying to find somewhere to eat, with little success. While seated eating cheese and crackers from a convenience store, I remembered to look nearby. Thanks for these caches!

(8137) Jengelha and I spent our 30th anniversary eating Pizza Hut while driving through Nebraska, US. We are celebrating the anniversary by coming here and then cruising New Zealand and back. Thanks for a great first cache!
(8138) We were headed from our hotel to the Australian Museum and randomly looked for caches. I like this artwork! My husband is leary of sticking his fingers anywhere, but was able to make the find. Thanks!
(8140) After visiting the Australian Museum and eating a fantastic lunch at Hyde Park House, we wandered over to catch a bus. I couldn't resist finding another cache. Thanks!
(8141) My main reason for dragging my husband out after our trip to the Australian Museum was to find this cache. I signed a challenge eons ago requiring 7 caches types found for 12 consecutive months. The closest wherigo to my home is 38 miles. The closest virtual is 28 and earthcache is 33. Anyway, my point is that we need to take every opportunity to find the interesting ones when we're away, and I still needed a wherigo this month. It took me a while to load the cartridge, which is typical for me. I was surprised by the ease of it, but we then spent a lot of time at GZ. My coordinates were off by about 20 feet, but easily spotted once nearby. Thanks!

(3509) My parents, brothers and families, and we spent the entire day today at Magic Kingdom. Will and I loved Space Mountain. The Festival of Fantasy parade was great, too. Thanks for the cache. I followed the directions and took a photo from GZ, but will include a photo of us with Cinderella's Castle, too.
