Replaced cache container. Removed previous cache - lid no longer waterproof as eaten by white tail bush rats! Dropped geocoin trackable.
Replaced lid as previous lid attacked by White-tailed bush rat. They love human sweat!
The giant white-tailed rat (Uromys caudimaculatus) is an Australian rodent native to tropical rainforest of north Queensland, with subspecies occurring in New Guinea and the Aru Islands. It is one of the largest rodents in Australia, reaching up to 1 kg in weight.

The base of the large tree hid the cache. Examination today showed that the tree has recently fallen over. The cache will be re-established (it has a few tonne of tree on top of it) as soon as possible nearby, and the coordinates updated.

The location has gone from State Forest to a commercial logging activity. Access to area limited and controlled.

Wonderful day to be out and about. Went to an ABC open garden and then on to this cache.
Great walk - spoke to a couple of intrepid mountain bikers on their way down to Port. Got to the waterway - had a drink and chanced upon some other walkers. Talked. Chatted.
And then it happenned - batteries died on the trusty Garmin. No worries, I dug through my backpack looking for the spares. Nothing there. Very annoying. So close, and yet so far.
Walked back, and it is quite a way, to the car and sitting on the front seat, were the spare batteries.
Looked at the time, decided enough was enough and decided to call it a day.
Lesson learned? - Before leaving the car, make sure the damned spare batteries are actually IN the backpack.
I SHALL RETURN

After reading the log comments about the co-ordinates being out I started to doubt my self! So I ventured out today to check.
Rest assured, dear reader, that if you follow my original cache instructions, and the clue, at Stage 1, and interpret this correctly at Stage 2, then you will get the correct coordinates for Stage 3.
So please bear that in mind when you read the previous postings with suggestions for revised co-ordinates. I know exactly what they have done to arrive at these suggestions - and, sorry folks, it is an incorrect interpretation!

Went back again today for the third time to find my own cache. First time, my parents were visiting and I arrogantly assumed that I remebered where I stashed the cache. Looked and looked and felt like a dork! Second time, it was raining. I took the GPS but did not read my own clue. Third time, and today was a beautiful dry season day, I took the GPS AND read the clue.
And found it!
And found it!

Dropping off two coins into the Cache. One has been a round a bit; the other is a "newbie"

A gloriously sunny morning made this a great hunt. I agree with all the comments about the wait-a-while (lawyer's cane). Is blood the sign of a true geocacher? TNLN. Explored more of this great walking track. Brought back many memories. This walk was the last activity that my late partner and I did - 2 hours after fininshing the walk I was on a plane to Darwin for work. He died before my return - so this area has good and bad connotations. Plus I did see some cassowary poo - so if you are a twitterer geocacher - keep you eyes open!

Muggles a plenty here today - guess had to expect that on the Australia Day public holiday. Guessed where it might be. Difficulty was in being able to retrieve - teenage male muglet watching this strange person wandering around. Eventually made a dash for site of the cached when no-one looking. Saw it but did not move so as not to attract any attention. Well I needed the driver reviver anyway! [:d]
Very pleasant area. Found area of cache easily enough. It appears though that a couple of families of ferral muggles and muglets have set up camp nearby.I also have realized that secateurs need to be an intergral part of the travel tools. Ripped hands and legs on the briars protecting the cache area. Overall a good experience in a very nice place.[:d]

Almost thought this was a lot of bull - I thought Rockhampton was the place for statues of cattle. It was early morning and still a little asleep. Cache really hidden for my tired old eyes. Little lady looking a tad rusty. [:d]
Well I never knew that there were the number of people buried in this cemetery. Nice break on the journey home. Thanks guys
Took a while, damn tourists getting in the way. In the end logic ruled the day! Looks as if the replica Elsey Homestead sufferred storm/cyclone damage - rafters show new signs of breaking. Well worth the effort to visit this cache site.

Great spot - great development site - would love the 20th floor penthouse. But - took a little time to find but in part due to nice location and sense of previous usage
Good multi-part......though.....one of the clues was decidely damp...perhaps, as a good Catholic, an elevation of the host?
Great way to find little known parts of Darwin - I will be careful next time I approach a beehive for sure!
Easy find - location needs quick going over with Dustbuster - Mum's little helper
Lots of green friends to assist - just glad there was no coiled inhabitant at home sheltering from the inclement weather!
