Logs for lionel and renata

04-Mar-17
Great church, what a beautiful spot. Tricky little container, love it!

18-Apr-15
Great little find! 10 minutes later I think the tide would have stopped me finding it so I was glad about my flukey timing. Nice container Smile TFTC

23-Aug-13
Great little cache, hint is good because it still doesn't give everything away. Thanks!

Thanks for this one, been in the cemetery many times and didn't even know this whole section was here. We enjoyed seeing it.

I've visited a grave right near here many times and have never given this memorial a second look. Thanks for making me pay attention. Great little cache as well Smile

12-May-12
Awesome spot for a cache, incredible view Smile

25-Apr-12
Really enjoyed this cache. We walked from Mair Park up the Hokianga track, roughly 35 minutes at a pretty slow unfit pace! Good walk, well worth it at the top. Thanks very much Butters* Smile

24-Apr-12
Easy find and great little roadside stop. Saw it on Anzac Day which is very fitting as it's a War Memorial Church. We recommend stopping in at 'The Office Cafe' in Maungatapere for a yummy lunch!

21-May-11
Great little cache, neat historic spot Smile. Thanks very much, most roadside caches aren't this interesting!

24-Apr-11
I would have been stumped by the hint without my Dad who knew what It was! Cool hint and hiding place Smile

Hint: don't wear Jandals, very slippery! Easy little find Smile

22-Apr-11
Nice little walk, great views Smile

04-Dec-10
Easy find, we go past here twice a day but have never come for a look at the falls! TFTC Smile

26-Oct-10
Quick cache on our way home after Labour Weekend. We found the coordinates to be spot on.

25-Oct-10
Cool thanks for that, haven't seen mud pools for years

Well we found it by touch but there were a bunch of kids looking straight at us so we left it there and kept walking!! Great location, rewarded ourselves with an ice cream Wink

What a great cache container, blends in well with the surroundings unfortunately!

Found it, pretty quick find once we finally solved the riddle! Couldn't write our names in as cache was full of water unfortunately.

21-Oct-10
Found this a long time ago, only just getting around to logging it. Quick little roadside cache Smile

18-Mar-10
This was cool! I never knew these rocks were here, great cache!

Lived in Whangarei ten years and never been to this quarry, we really liked it. Enjoyed the walk. Great cache, thanks Smile

Found this one a long time ago, only just remembered to log it. We enjoyed this one, it was challenging with all the muggles around!

10-Oct-09
Following the directions from the GPS I saw a suspicious looking guy loitering around right where the cache should be... turned out to be Grobyc, I knew I should have gotten up earlier! Cool hiding place, TFTC Smile

04-Oct-09
Enjoyed working out the puzzle. Rainy miserable day when we went to the cache so not many people about to worry about but it was sitting out in the open, bold as brass! Must have been muggled but no damage or missing items, we hid it again when we left. TFTC Smile

We really enjoyed this cache, great view, will definitely go back some time for another look. Got all the way back down to the car and realised I still had the pen from the cache in my hand so while I browsed the cool shop, off the Lionel trotted to replace the pen in the cache! Poor guy... haha

This is a really cool place for a cache, pity we didn't find it! We've only got an eTrex and it wasn't much help once we got within about 20m, so we fossicked around for about 45 mins and then called it a day because of the pouring rain BUT we'll be back! We went for a tiki tour over to the Kauri Grove (you can see the grassy area from where the cache must be hiding) and would recommend going to look at that while you're there, what a beautiful spot so close to town. Thanks for bringing us to the park. Smile

Easy little cache, yet another place I drive past all the time without even registering - must mean I'm looking at the road though, right?! TFTC Smile

Gotcha! I think because this one was difficult for me, by the time I figured it out I laughed out loud when I found the hidden coordinates, they are right in front of you the whole time! Great puzzle, TFTC Smile

Raining cats and dogs so not much of a view but really neat bridge, just down the road from home so we shot down to grab it. Easy find, will come back for another look here when the weather is better! TFTC Smile

03-Oct-09
Drive past this one twice day, have never stopped to look over the side, was quite neat. We were hoping our log wouldn't say "Found It - dropped it over the side" ha

Thanks for making me take note of this spot. I have been parking here for years and never bothered to really look at the park, it is great and I'm sure we'll bring our Subway here to eat in the future like we did today Smile

28-Sep-09
This looks like a great puzzle. I'm one of those people that whinges that I don't like the normal park and grab caches but then when there's a puzzley one I whinge that it's too hard ha! I'm looking forward to trying to solve this one, hopefully not beyond my limited brain power. TFTC Smile

19-Sep-09
This was our second try at this one, and still no luck. Took a printout of all the logs with us too, just in case any clues hidden in there, got very fired up with the people that put things like "nice easy find"! We eventually left but we'll be back!

17-Jul-09
We had such a great time finding this cache even though it's not a multi or anything. Grown-ups had to rely on the 12 year old to nut it out for us! Thanks Smile

21-Feb-09
This was a fun one, would never have bothered going to look at these places if it weren't for the cache, so thanks a lot for that. Smile

This kind of cache is what I love about Geocaching - I've lived in Whangarei for ten years and never noticed any of the places this cache sends you to! The kids really enjoyed it and so did we. Thanks Smile

17-Jan-09
This was so cool, I have never seen a cache container like that, awesome Smile Had some kids with me for their first time caching and they were blown away.

Another cool place that I'd never have come to if not for the cache, Thanks Smile

12-Jan-09
Nice quick walk and find after work, thanks! Smile

07-Jan-09
Gave up in disgust first time, thought for sure it had been 'muggled', came home and read the log entries and saw that lots of others thought that too and then found it later so went straight back and after a little searching, there it was! great spot Smile

Really enjoyed this one, very well designed puzzle Smile

06-Jan-09
Loved the signs on the gates out here Smile

neat little park and memorial, pity about the cutty grass though!

Good fun, good little reserve, thanks for showing us Smile

Easy little find, thanks Smile

enjoyed this one, just chasing your Organist's 100th cache while I'm down here on holiday, really enjoying it Smile

Nice easy find, I like the ones that give you a reason to stop and take notice of places like this Smile

05-Jan-09

Great little walk, really enjoyed this one Smile

Nice easy find Smile Lots of nice places for picnic afterwards
