Before they started digging this area up, I use to run around here and loved exploring the old buildings, all be it a little creepy at times. So great to be back out here, with the added bonus of finding some caches. Drove easily up to GZ, and soon had the cache in hand. Went for another wander through the old buildings and then moved on to the next one. Nice hide, TFTC 

This one popped up when I was just round the corner a few days ago, but as luck would have it, was busy in a meeting, and even when I contemplated going to get it when I was free, realised I didn't have a pen, so figured I'd have to come back. So after spending the afternoon cleaning up some caches across the shore, drove back past this one to check it off the list. Managed to pull over near GZ while there was no traffic and let evilno9 out to start the search while I parked back round the corner. Arrived back GZ just as he was signing the log. A bit of tricky one to find, but nicely done. TFTC 

Took our time finding this one as we were enjoying being able to explore the old buildings. Glad I got to see all this before they started pulling down them all down. Has been a while since I've been down here, so a good excuse to come back and find a cache or 2. Took the long way around to get to this one, approaching from the wrong side, but once around the corner, a very nicely done cache was soon spotted. TFTC! 

Heading out to the beach on an amazing day, and managed to do a quick detour past here. Saw what we were looking for pretty quickly, and soon enough had the cache in hand. TFTC. 

Having been at the Mega event this morning, we were heading back to where we were staying and this one happened to be just round the corner. So parked up above it, and did a bit of a bush bash down the hill to the right spot. Quickly found, and signed the log, and headed off to make a plan of attack for the rest of th weekend. TFTC 

This one probably took longer than what it should to find, but once we made it to the correct side of the road, the find was easily made. No disturbances around for us, so signed and replaced quickly. TFTC. 

Headed up the hill from the Octagon, and quickly came across this one. Not many muggles around to disturb us today, so nice and easy find. TFTC 

Decided relatively late in the piece to attend this event. Managed to bludge the weekend off work for a change, and headed down to check it out. Very glad I did. A very enjoyable weekend had. Thanks to all the organisers and sponsors who made it happen. A lot of hard work to organize it, and it all looked great. Great to catch up with some friends, and meet some new people. And thanks to Kiwichris for being our guide on a wild windy freezing walk around Swampy Summit. Awesome walk, with some great company in the great kiwi outdoors! TFTE 

On our way to the Mega Event, and drove past this one. Figured it would be rude not to stop, so went for a quick wander along the path, and soon had the cache in hand. Nice little spot. TFTC 

On our way to the Mega Event just up the road, and driving past here, we figured we may as well call in and grab it. After a bit of a hunt around, with little success, we were joined by some fellow cachers from across the ditch, and not long after the cache was found. Took a minute to enjoy the view, and then headed off down the road to register! TFTC 

Heading back after attending the mega event in the morning, and this happened to be on our way home. Took us a little while to narrow in on where we should be looking, and after a bit of digging around we pulled it from its hiding spot. Tricky little hide, but nicely done, in a nice spot. TFTC 

This was definitely a bit of an adventure for us. Decided on taking the hard way up, instead of approaching from the top. So after a bit of slipping and sliding and stumbling we made t to the top, and quickly zoomed in on the rite spot. Easily found the snowclone, but the next bit left us puzzled! Spent a good 20mins trying to work out where the final hide was, and just as we were about to give up, we thankfully found what we were suspicious of! Very nicely done, thanks for the challenge! 

Out with evilno9 and ishoot, exploring the city while down for the mega event. Decided to wander around the city and pick up some local caches. Soon came across GZ and cache was quickly found. Very nicely done! TFTC

Up popped this cache on the screen, so figured it would be rude not to find it! GZ was quickly found, and the cache revealed itself nicely. Nice spot, and luckily no muggles around for us to worry about. TFTC 

Straight of the plane, and straight to our first find for the weekend. Quite a popular spot, with everyone else off the same flight making a beeline for it, but good to catch up with some fellow caches at the start of the long weekend. TFTC 

Driving past this after arriving from Auckland for the Mega event, and figured may as well stop and grab it as we passed. After the crowd at the last one, it was just us left to find this one. Quick and easy find in the dark. TFTC 

Made a plan to meet up here with "the boys" to hunt out this and another cache round the corner. Having done the previous UV one round here we were pretty use to the area. With the appropriate technology we were soon on our way to the second stage, and then onto the final. Nice little wander on a pleasant evening. Thanks for the chance to try out some new technology. TFTC 

Having completed the multi up the road, made sense to come down here and sign this one off. With lots of eyes searching, it didn't take long to find. Took a minute to admire the view down by the water, then wandered off. Nice spot, TFTC! 

Saw this one pop up the nite before, but with a plan to get up early to watch the rugby, decided sleep was more important. So seeing it was still not logged after the ABs had managed to destroy SA, and since it was on the way home, called in here with evilno9 to chance our luck at a FTF. as luck would have it we came across a blank log book. Hands did get a bit sticky in the search, but all worth it. Interesting spot. TFTC 

Out with a bunch of mates doing some training for the milford track which we are undertaking in a few months. Had a good walk up and around the hills round this area, and came through this spot on the way back to the car. Having been up here many times with evilno9, and being with him when he hid this initially, I knew what I was looking for so the find was quickly made. This would have to be one of my favourite spots out this way, so didn't mind taking a bit of rest here before heading back down the hill. Awesome spot, nice hide TFTC 

Was just leaving work, and got the call up from evilno9 to head out and find this new cache. With no better plans, headed over to pick him up and head out this way. Been a while since I've been out this part of the waitaks, but always nice to be out here. Nice night as well, and with no distractions to worry about we came up to GZ easily. After a quick look in the suggested spot we came up with the find, and a nice blank log book. Interesting spot which I've never noticed before. TFTC! 

After heading out to grab the new cache up the road and round the corner a bit, we decided, since this had recently been published to come home this way and pick this one up along the way. Definitely a nice night for a wander, and we soon came to the start of the trail head. Was a bit of fun heading down here in the dark, but we managed to get down in 1 piece, and soon came across the bridge. After a bit of a dig round, the find was made. Nice spot to discover, and the climb back up wasn't too bad either! TFTC! 

Out with evilno9 and another mate to watch a very chilly game of rugby. Thankfully we won which made it worth it, and we managed to find a cache to top of the day. Had a decent idea what we were looking for, and it was too cold for anyone to be hanging around after the game, so manage a quick find. Thanks to evilno9 for signing the log once he came back with a pen! Nice hide, TFTC. 

Was in town for a mates graduation, and had a spare few minutes between activities, so thought why not take advantage and grab this cache while I was at it. Having seen it when it was first published had an idea what I looking for so despite having no GPS figured I'd be able to find it. Unfortunately however, as well as not having a GPS, I didn't have a pen... So although I was able to find it easily enough I soon realised I wouldn't be able to log it. Then the thought occured, that evilno9 works just round the corner, and being about lunch time, I figured I might try my luck and see if he was free. As it turns out he was, and he soon came to my rescue, pen and all .

I was at home when this one was published which is about 2km up the rd from this beach, but knowing the state of the ground, and the fact it was dark and raining at the time I decided to leave it till the next day. Saw it was logged pretty early, and decided there was no rush.
So heading out with evilno9 to pick up a few made sense to start here. Definitely muddy and wet to get to, plus the odd fisherman to dodge, but love the spot, and cache was soon in hand. TFTC 

Must be time for a new challenge, so will give this one a go! Will take a while, but something to aim for

Started caching on 29/12/2009 in NZ. 

Having been to the event just round the corner, was a good excuse to find a couple of nearby caches while we were in the area. Located the likely spot easily enough, but took a good dig around to find what we were looking for! There were a few "shoe laces tied", and dropped keys to be picked up, but eventually we found what was needed! Luckily there weren't too many muggles around to give us any problems! TFTC 

Nice to come along and meet Coinpopper and catch up with some fellow caches. Thanks for the great momento, and the well organized event. TFTE! 

Logging with permission. Out an about with the boys after being at Coinpoppers event just round the corner. Wasn't a bad night to go for a stroll, and found ourselves here. Having driven past here many a time, it was great to be able to have a closer look. Able to get all the info we needed without being disturbed, and enjoyed exploring an interesting spot. TFTC

Last cache of the day for us, after finding some doggies up the road. Nice spot just as the sun was setting, and the tide was out which made for easy access. Had a fairly decent idea what we were looking for and we soon had the hide in hand. Signed the log, admired the view for a bit, and time to head home. TFTC

Decided that as daylight was running out, it was time to head back to the car and leave the rest of the trail for another day. However as we were driving past here, it seemed only logical to stop and grab this one. Nice quick find, and we were back on our way. TFTC

Came across a very friendly puppy on our way to this way, closely followed by its owner chasing after it. Once said puppy was captured and returned to owner, we carried on, had a bit of a slippery trip to the bottom, but soon came up with the find. TFTC

A few people out and about on the track today, but we were able to make friends with the other locals, of the grass eating variety, while finding this cache, so were able to act some-what unsuspiciously! the cache was quickly found, the cows were fed, and everyone left happy! TFTC
