The rain had settled in for the afternoon by the time we walked to this cache. We were heavily moogled at the hide site. We were happy for the opportunity to find the second oldest cache in Texas. Thanks for keeping this oldie alive.

We've slowly been collecting finds on the oldest caches in states. This was a wonderful journey through this very nice park. We passed a few returning walkers on the way and had the pleasure of meeting Dr Powercat on the way back from the cache. There were no gator sightings for us, but there were plenty of other wildlife sightings to add to our fun. This is the second rustiest ammo can we have seen in the wild. It has a great patina. Thanks for keeping this old gem active. We swapped an unactivated Volunteer Trackable for a Lackey Trackable. This is an easy favorite!

This was day two of an extended business trip to the area. I was happy it was warm. Ladybug was happy it wasn't *that* warm. Ladybug always plans ahead on these trips searching for older caches we can hunt with an emphasis on each state's oldest. We were both glad this cache was near enough to our travel destination and located in a wonderful canyon. We found a few other caches here and had a great walk. Thanks for keeping this old cache alive and well here in a super location. L: Unactivated Volunteer Tag

This was our last find of the day on our journey from Tulsa to Jonesboro. This was our 16th oldest state cache found. We were both tired from a week of travel, but enjoyed the find. Thanks for keeping this one active.

I tried to stop for a few on 19, but that's a good way to get killed. I enjoyed my quiet visit to this historical location much better. Thanks for the cache.

This took me a lot longer than it should have to find, but I was looking for a small and not a micro. TFTC

We did not know this camp was here. There is no gateway, but a large roadside sign a few miles and a large Boy Scout symbol point the way. The camp still appears active as the mailbox indicates it is still a camp.

Wow! Now we must visit this state. We have always wanted to visit. This will be on our list. A basic mecca for a geocacher.

The big guy greets all visitors outside the Erie Plastics Company in Corry PA. Once you go by, you usually don't forget this company. They also have the nicest looking manufacturing facilty for miles.

As rope bridges go, this one isn't all that exciting. It spans the Chagrin River in a town called Gates Mills, Ohio. What is really neat is that the bridge is private bridge of the residents living on the other side of the river. I pass by this location on my way to work and depending on the time will see their children crossing the bridge to reach the school bus. The bridge is planked. and about 40 yards wide over the river. It was damaged a few years back and rebuilt after a storm, but has been in use as long as we have lived in the area. The photos are not the greatest because the bridge is on private property. This was the closest public area to shoot a picture.

This converted fire station is located on West 25 Street North of Denison Avenue in Cleveland, Ohio. I grew up minutes from this house and remember when it was replaced in the early 80's with a 3-truck station about two blocks south. It now serves as home to a law firm and a small local newspaper.

This is a two for one. The National Register lists the 'Gates Mills Methodist Episcopal Church'. This church is now known as St. Christophers by the River. It is located in the historic district of Gates Mills, Ohio. The entire area is also listed on the register. In addition to St. Christophers (built in 1853), there are a number of buildings in the area that were constructed in 1826 including the Chagrin Valley Hunt Club. The Club suffered extensive damage during a fire ~10 years ago but has been rebuilt to its original form. There is much pressure on the area for commercial development and some local politicians have lost their positions for fighting the development. A new library is being constructed to replace the one in the photo and there is pressure for development of a hotel in the historic section. The Chagrin River runs through the town and provides a very scenic backdrop.
This dam is located outside Union City PA. The resulting lake is very scenic. The area is quite pleasant and has few visitors. It is only open from May through September.

Catching up on locationless photos in our geocache folder. These are really wide falls for NE Ohio. Not the tallest falls but very picturesque. Ladybug and I visited with our dogs on a wonderful summer evening. This is our second and final log. TFTC
