Logs for mikev26

After reading some of the other logs, I was pleasantly surprised to spot this clever cache just 10 seconds after arriving at GZ. Getting to write on the log was a bit of a challenge, and then it took me 5mins to screw the cap back on. It all made me Dizzy Lizzy!
For a nice little bushwalk beside the river on the way to the cache, park in Bayside Drive and walk down the steps.

What a great view. Beautiful colours in the water.
Took a bit longer to find than expected due to wrong track and then well hidden cache.

I have connections with Mary MacKillop through school and also connections with the Ly-ee Moon.

Found it quickly and met some other friendly geocachers on the hunt 30 seconds later.
Love the beach.

Cache had slipped away from its position.

Well this ended up an ordeal. I went to Tea Tree Place, but couldn't see any way to the bush behind, just driveways. So then entered the bush further up and had to bush bash my way down. Slipped on a slimy rock by the creek and suffered a nasty fall resulting in moderate injuries. Battled on along the creek (had no choice) and finally came to a clearing where the cache was. Nice little spot. Found the cache fairly quickly in its secluded hiding place. Then saw a track nearby that led straight to the road. If only it was signposted as a public pathway it would have saved me a lot of time and pain.
Took tb.

This was my quickest find ever. After reading the clues and other notes before, I figured out the trick.
It took me just 1 second to find this cache after I arrived at my destination - and then I spent 5 minutes trying to get the log out of the small cache, and past the magnet without getting my finger stuck!
Thanks - my first Mystery Cache find.

This took a very long time to find. After finding a cave and searching with no success, I went to the many other smaller caves nearby. Still no success. So back to the big cave....no luck. Was about to leave when finally I saw the lamp shining back at me. I had been searching too low, and without a torch. It will be a bonus if you don't fall over on the slippery muddy rocks on the way to the cave. Also cache needs a new log sheet; there's no room left to sign on the current one. Found this cache as part of Road Trip '15.

My first Earthcache!
This is an amazing spot to walk along the cliffs (not too close) and view the sea and harbour.

Ate fish and chips in the park, ice cream in the rotunda, then a walk on the sand and a wade in the water. Perfect!

Liked this one. Enjoyed the scramble down (went a bit too far and disturbed some crabs). Then saw a spot that looked like a sneaky clever hide, and sure enough it was there! And yes, another log sheet is needed.

Nice old tin. Didn't have a pen to sign the log.

Found it after a bit of bush bashing and spider web destroying.
Sneaky spot there behind the small rock. Luckily I noticed it looked a little out of place. I placed a feather as a clue.

This was more of a bush bash than I was expecting, as I thought it was on a different track.
But found it, with help.

Easy to get to but difficult to find the exact spot. The clue helped.....and the photos!
Lots of rocks to turn over.
