great fun - thanks! sorry we didnt have anything to add, but we enjoyed checking out what was there, and I'll go back and add something
were we really the first to find it??? that's what the paper seemed to be saying ... but was it just a new piece of paper, or a new cache??
lovely spot to sit and look to sea, see the action on the water

didnt seem that obvious, and my not-very-good-phone gps was pointing me over the boardwalk and far away. Didnt want to destroy the environment by walking off the obvious paths and board walks ... but a gorgeous day and I was going there, anyway
thanks nice wee find over lunch, in a gap between mega-muggles on a public holiday!

well way off where the direction finder has it ... maybe someone has moved it? But after reading the logs we just went on a nice walk looking for a stone wall on a corner, and lo and behold TFTC

12-Oct-15
loved the poem thanks
We never did work out the trig on the skyline bit, and took us a wee while to work out the 'stand of pines' ... I may need to investigate NZ native trees classed as pines but usefully the kowhai were flowering beautifully and colourfully, so a bit of searching got us there in the end Thanks, it was fun, and got to explore a track i had never been on!

17-Aug-15
Yay, first to sign on the newly hidden pages. Thanks for the great views!!
16-Aug-15
hmmm ... had a nice bike ride and got off for a look for this one ... but without a GPS, and with a few muggles passing by, limiting me to short bursts of searching only, I didnt have any luck. Will have to go back!

This was a fun stop over on the way up to play in the snow! I was still looking in more trad thinking places when a young one of our small party of three found it; so while I dont feel like I can personally claim it really, I was close and may well have got it myself soon after great hide!
didnt find it, but there was lots of snow and we kept getting distracted to play ... and by muggles also having fun with snow balls. Another time!
08-Aug-15
huh, found it this time! I could swear I had searched in that spot last time with no luck; but anyway found it today. Lovely day for a bike ride and explore - thanks
25-Apr-15
good one! did a wee bit of a search and ended up back where we started - and voila! Fun; thanks!
23-Mar-15
did a few circles and enjoyed a fun search ... and finally found it
When we passed them for about the fourth time, had to confess to the young people learning to slackline on the open grass area between nearby trees what we were doing/why we were going in circles! So there may be some new geocachers join up!

Young Molly was on to it before me! Well camouflaged. But possibly insecure, was it once attached?
17-Aug-14
hmmm, big poke around and couldnt figure it out ;-/ have to try again next time i'm passing through!
Thanks for encouraging a stop and wander thanks paua and punga, i like your style
I logged that i gave up cos too many people about - and then they left! So did find it after all
Such a glorious scenic view today, every muggle is coming in! Abandoned the search as there are only so many ways to look nonchalant
04-Aug-14
Oh jolly good cache! Good fun, molly aged 12 worked it out quickly - she is getting fsst!
Aha, we finally found it, but we also couldn't open it. Might need a wee tool to get it undone. Thanks, good history spot, previously unnoticed. Tricia and molly
Thanks, we found it slightly damp paper, but thanks for trying with the absorbent pack. Good camouflage
03-Aug-14
Ha, found it, nice job of hiding missed it at first despite moving the hiding 'object ' so good camo job!
X marks the spot paper is damp. Tftc, lovely view on a sunny day after days of rain

well - knock me down with a feather! I am coming over from NZ soon to visit my dad who lives in the Moolalah valley, and now that i'm a (newbie) geocacher, I thought i would look up and see if there were any caches near his place to search for on my holiday.
And here is one in the garden named for my mother!! She died nearly 20 years ago, but she always loved gardening and had developed this garden in front of what was their house then. Her name was Noeleen Thompson (slightly mispelled in your information). I will have to find it for sure!!
