Logs for scoutnz 

After 3 hour tramp up from Tamaki Rd we found the cache after a fruitless search in the leatherwoods . We took the container to Travers hut to examine leaving a rock on the track to mark rough location. Unfortunatley 10cm of snow overnight made it a little more difficult to return in the morning. We carried on tramping along Takapari Rd / ridge and on to Standfield hut and out via Tamaki River. Great weekend especially the snow. (Beware:- Travers Hut has no fire place, mattresses, table or chairs.)

Took Malaysian $1 note and left Rangitikei Badge. 

Found the container after a few minutes off track. Dried out the bucket, filled in log, took owl and left voltaren tablet for altitude sickness!

Let 10 scouts lose with GPS and they all manage to find cache and are keen to fine more. 

My first cache:) Easy to find but had to keep hiding from muggles driving into park. My Son thought it was a great find. Took die and left badge. There was a trackable turtle? in container.
