31 years ago we had a holiday in the nearby Gate Lodge as the guests of 'The Brothers of Charity'; so this cache brought back many happy memories of my childhood. TFTC TNLN SL. Logged cache: #1,090 via iPhone

An easy find. Logged cache: #911 via iPhone (signed as C2H because because paper is full)

Great to see this fabulous location is now an Earthcache. However it was not created when we visited in November 2006 and so I will add a photograph to mark the fact that we did visit rather than claim it.

Adding my TB (UK Photo Explorer #1) to this cache because the cacher who physically moved the cache into 'The Lorax' had forgotten to note down the tracking number.

We enjoyed the stunning views from the nearby seats in the early evening before finding the cache. Then off to the local Thermal Spa for a dip and we both made a 'life changing' decision for the good - we will apply to move to NZ! TFTC TNLNSL

The first of three good caches in this part of Taupo and close to our excellent Homestay whilst here. Great views after the earlier wind and rain. TFTC TNLNSL

Great Rimu trees in the nearby vicinity and an excellent trip to the gardens. TFTC TNLNSL

I guess that we would have visited the Huka Falls even without geocaching; but a couple of caches on top of the awesome view added to the trip. TFTC TNLNSL
The logbook is in need of urgent replacement (very wet) so left a signed piece of paper as proof of visit.

There is a cacher in the UK who also puts a lot of thought into his caches. He too has used similar methods so this was a nice cache find to record. TFTC TNLNSL

Dropping and collecting two geocoins into this cache to build up a few air miles. Email to owner soon (at his request) with a few more cache ideas used in the UK that are similar to this well thought out cache hide.
A pleasnt park to explore whilst following the GPS. Logged a few days late because of travelling and no internet access. TFTC TNLNSL

Fairly sure this cache has gone as there was only one obvious location. However, after banging my head and splitting my head open I did not finish the search. Log delay due to travelling rather than hospital admission; great views by the way and hope the cache is replaced if missing. Cheers

Another DNF to add to the list - there is every chance that the cache is no longer there; or are we all wrong?
What a great spot for a cache. I spotted the general location yesterday as we arrived in Nelson and then located the cache today. Dropped off my own TB (UK Photo Explorer II) that wants to stay on the South Island. TFTC

My first cache followed the same game; and the 30 hour journey to NZ gave plenty of time to solve the puzzle. Amazed at the rapid water level changes as the tide changes. TFTC TNLNSL

Bagged this cache whilst Mrs C2H chatted with some friends from when she lived in Nelson 7 years ago. An intereting spot of history hidden from the crowd. TFTC TNLNSL

A nice easy start to caching in Nelson; and if you pick the right time - zero muggles! A good view of the harbour, but not as good as the accomodation we have here. TFTC TNLNSL

Nuts! Although I was looking for the unusual - left with a DNF - but a nice view from this small park.

A good urban cache right by the carpark we used before visiting the i-site office. Good co-ordinates meant a quick and easy find. TNLNSL TFTC

A very interesting area to visit and we eventually found the cache as the tree cover was playing havoc with the GPSr. After the cache I had an Indiana Jones moment in one of the nearby mines; good job I had brought a torch to light up the roof. TFTC TNLN

A notice in the Tourist Information centre advises that the path will be closed indefinetely. This cache may need to be disabledfor a while?
A DNF but it appears that we are not alone. Nice views from the memorial but the clue is too vague for my liking. After 20 minutes and 20 scratches - gave up.
A nice easy urban cache whilst exploring Thames. I was then approached by a person in uniform and feared the worst. But they are recruiting for the prison service and will even consider a UK application; so may be back sooner than thought. TFTC TNLNSL

Another DNF to add to the list. I knew that I was in the right area because of the dedicated clue; but then there are too many possible hiding places that fit the rest of the clue.

We saw a kingfisher as we turned into the car park, and we enjoyed the walk to the cache. Only later that night did we discover that this was the scene of the attack on the tourists; which soured the day a little. TFTC TNLN
