WE popped up to London to see the Clipper boats before they set off around the world and then wandered along the Thames to do this cache. Answers sent. Tftc

Solved the puzzle at home and soon arrived at GZ. The first task was reaching the cache when you are vertically challenged, a stick helped! Then how to get the log? This was soon done and with the use of the stick the cache was replaced. A fav here. Tftc

Took some time to think of the people who lost their lives. Thanks for bringing me here. Tftc

My last day in New Zealand and time to pick up a couple of caches before heading off to the airport. We had some wonderful experiences on our trip but had not expected to experience an earthquake. An experience I don't think I will ever forget.

As for 9/11 I had just finished work and had popped into a local shop, they had a small tv mounted on the wall and I half noticed a plane hitting a building but just assumed it was a film. When I arrived home some workmen working next door told me to go and put the telly on. I spent the rest of the afternoon watching in horror as the events unfolded. A few years before we had visited New York and stayed at the hotel between the two towers.

Thanks for placing this cache and giving us a chance to think about firefighters all over the world.

Quick and easy on second visit

What a lovely spot. Had a paddle in the lovely clear but slightly chill water. Plenty of people were enjoying paddleboarding and kayaking. Also spent some time looking at some of the stalls in the craft market. Tftc

A quick find here. The log is now in a plastic bag so it is nice and dry. Lovely views across the lake. Tftc

Found on my travels around New Zealand. A lovely spot managed to get the cache in a gap between muggles. Tftc

Wonderful views from here. It's amazing but worrying have fast the ice has receded.
Dropped off TB.

We were staying at the nearby accommodation so after an evening meal took a stroll to find the cache. As the light was fading the trees had a ghostly appearance. Cache was quickly spotted. Tftc

Found while walking to the glacier. Great views despite the low cloud. Tftc

We spent a couple of days in Franz Josef on the first we walked to the view point near to the nose of the glacier. We watched blocks of ice floating in the river, on the way back I went up to the view point to get the information for the cache.
On the second day we had perfect weather for our trip up onto the glacier. Our guide showed us where the ice was in 2006, it's alarming how quickly the glacier is retreating.

We had a short stop here on our bus tour of New Zealand, while the other headed off to see the seal I charged up the hill to get the information to log this cache. Once I had done that I had a few minutes to look at the seals and very cute they were too. tftc

Visited the pools after a drive from Able Tasman. I managed to persuade my husband to join me and I think he enjoyed it but could not really see the point of it! He was however more interested in the gasometer.
My picture is taken outside as I didn't take my camera with me into the pools and had to return later. Tftc

Enjoyed finding out about the way the building has been protected. The museum is also well worth a visit.
The exhibition about earthquakes is very informative and thought provoking but I have to say the earthquake house does not let you full appreciate the feel of an earthquake. I happened to be in Christchurch on the 14th February when they had a 5.8 quake. I found it an extremely strange experience and one I don't really want to have again. I have to stand in admiration to you all for living with such a threat on a daily basis. tftc
