Logs for tws

Found by Ross, Dave and Ian.

Excellent idea. Good finish to a full day of cache hunting.

A very easy find.

Found by Dave, Ross and Ian.

Very interesting. We didn't come in via the right road, so ended up brute forcing it by simply walking across country - like other people here.

Thanks for choosing such a great location.

Found by Ross, Ian and Dave.

All too easy.

This was pretty easy - Dave found it straight away. Good location.

We found the note mentioned by the last poster when we failed to find the cache earlier in the month.

It was under the tree that looked like it had been napalmed. We moved the note a bit so it might not have been so obviously under the right tree. This tree best matches earlier descriptions of the cache location.

We agree that it would be useful for someone to check the cache - we too checked very comprehensively.

Great location. Found on a rainy day, so virtually noone around. Took a pink bell, left a pocket knife.

Couldn't find it after a great deal of looking. There was a big tree within 30m of the GPS point that looked like it had been napalmed, which makes me suspicious.

Cute location. Walked right up to it, but were probably lucky.

Definitely one of the most imaginitive caches we have visited. Took a long time to find. I agree with the earlier poster that most people will need the clue.

Found this one easily with the clues provided.

A disappointing location in some ways; may have been preferable to choose somewhere more scenic, but certainly interesting in any case.

Finally found this cache on the 3rd attempt!
It is there are in good condition. Relieved more than anything else.

16-Sep-01
Failed to find this cache again, even with the
updated coordinates! Not happy Jan.

Did the cache again today, to see how it was meant to be done properly. All the clues work fine etc and we had a nice walk in the sun. Unfortunately when we arrived at the cache it had been plundered. Sad We found the container thrown down the hill but everything had been taken except for the tissues, the pencil and the logbook, complete with a rude message. We reburied the cache in case the owner would like to retrieve the log book, but I suggest the cache not be restocked in case the plunderer comes back.

Found by Dave, Ross, Sandra, Sofie & Ian on Sunday afternoon. We kinda brute forced this one, approaching from the west (I think) and driving the Subaru up/down some rather dodgy mud trails. Smile The cache was well concealed but not too hard to find. Not so good to see was the amount of rubbish that had been dumped in the area by some inconsiderate people. We took nothing and left nothing but a log entry.

Found Sunday afternoon by Sofie, Sandra, Ross, Dave & Ian. The weather had cleared a little by then so we got to enjoy the view. We were on the wrong road initally, and almost tried going up the hill on a rather dodgy dirt track but wiser heads prevailed.
Took nothing and left nothing but a log entry.

Found by Ross, Dave, Ian, Sofie & Sandra on a rather squally Sunday afternoon. We actually had the wrong co-ordinates in the GPS, and had written them down wrong so its amazing we found it at all! The view is quite spectacular. We took nothing and left nothing.

Found this in pouring rain with the mother in law
waiting up the hill.

Fairly easy to find, but by the time I'd found it
my hands were almost too cold to write in the log
book.

Didn't leave or take any items. Good cache.

Like idiots, we went trying to find it without reading the comments, and 2 days before they co-ordinates were corrected, no less. Will try again.

What a great walk - so close to Melbourne yet we knew nothing about it. Had a lot of difficultly. Finding the first point was no problem, but then we had problems. The instructions ask you to subtract a 3 digit number from a four digit number which gives you another four digit number. Are you meant to use the first 3 digits or the last 3? Either way it seemed to be leading us a km or so out of the park. After wandering around looking at every sign we gave up and walked back to the car. On the way we stumbled across the sign mentioned in the last clue, and from there on straight to the cache. We took the hitch-hiker and left an auto voltmeter.
The location is a great one to visit, lots of interesting mines etc. Lots of fun. Thanks!
