I wasn't caching, but stumbled across this great find on a hike. TFTC

03-Mar-13
Nice walk. Will have to do it again.

Easy enough find. TFTC

05-Jun-10
Batteries ran out on the GPS 280m out from gz...had to rely on instinct, which I am glad to say did not let me down. The hint came in handy. Had some new geokiddies with me as well so didn't want to disappoint on their first cache. Batteries, and spares, are now charged. Smile

09-May-10
Have wanted this one for a while so finally the timing was right...nice cache. thanks.

02-May-10
A massive spider has made the base of this cache home, so be ware.

18-Oct-09
Was logging some recent finds in the area and noticed my visit to this one wasn't recorded. Have been here twice, so not sure what happened. Last time circa April 2009. Smile

17-Oct-09
At first i thought I would try the seaward approach, but didn't fancy the climb. Nice hide TFTC Smile

Past this on the way down and wondered how I was going to get to it, the return trip up the mountain provided the answer. Container was crushed (suspect thermal influence) and log damp so I replaced container with a Sistern container I had in the car. TFTC Smile

25-Sep-09
Great hide! Dropped of the WDD geocoin but can't log it here for some reason.

Muggles everywhere, but succesfully retrieved and returned. TFTC TNLN Smile

13-Jun-09
Moved in to the area recently and have been putting this one off for a while. finally had nothing to do one Sat afternoon so thought I would claim it.

I really like this hide. Had to wait for a few muggles to clear the bridge, but soon located the prize Smile

Backdating old logs..found with TanFin and the ever eager and helpful geokid. Pulled up right beside gz and geokid made light work of locating the prize Smile

Backdating old logs...found with TanFin and geokid. Nice stroll with plenty of wombat holes but the inhabitants must have been slumbering. GPSr struggled with getting close to gz (assume the overhead wires have something to do with it). Crossed the water and soon found out how cold it is...but it was good therapy for a swollen ankle obtaind at a previous cache. Watch out for the ants - they hurt!!!! Eventually found the prize after some searching. It was as described, but search area for gz was about 10m sq. as GPSr couldn't get a lock Smile

12-Apr-09
Backdating old logs...found with TanFin and new geocache wannabies. High muggle area required high level of stealth - perfect for teaching newbies and having some laughs Smile

Backdating old logs...found with TanFin and some geocache wannabies during a camping trip to a nearbye capsite. Sprained my ankle doing as mountain goats do, but finding the prize made it worthwile Smile

Backdating old logs...found with TanFin and new geoache wannabies. Found a park at the pumping station and soon realised we were in for a bit of a walk...nice enough tho and prize was easily found on arrival to gz Smile

Backdating some old logs...found with TanFin and new geoache wanabies...after a long walk and aborting a find that required getting wet (or obtaining a boat) we arrived at GZ to find 3 muggles sitting on the ledge directly above the prize. Having sighted the prize and not willing to wait TanFin "dropped" the car keys in a retrieved the lot Smile

11-Apr-09
Backdating old logs...found with TanFin and a couple of geocache wannabies. We approached from the wrong side of the river and quickly learnt how cold the water was...made for an amusing time. Smile

Backdating old logs...Found with TanFin. We were camping in the area and had a number of new geokiddies wih us all eager to find the prize..although it was a couple of older geocache wannabies that caught the bug. Came across GZ after taking a hike from the other side of the mountain...found sanitizer hovering over GZ hoping the 'muggles' would walk on bye Smile

21-Mar-09
Backdating old logs. Met up with TraineeDiplomat, Aboreham and Fergle. TD showed his superior finding skills and beat TanFin to the prize after we had been looking for some 10 minutes.

Nice to meet other caches out and about. It was a day for it! Smile

Updating some old logs. Met up with Big Matt and FarmerFrentzen...a brief chat, but thoroughly enjoyed. FarmerFrentzen beat TanFin to the prize, but all joined in the claim.

14-Feb-09
Catching up on some old caches..add my failure to find to the list. Sad

09-Feb-09
Revisiting with Tanfin. Always a good cache to teach beginners. Smile

08-Feb-09
Finally got around to claiming this one. Plenty of muggles thanks to the festival, but stealth is a specialty - made easier with company (TanFin). TFTC Smile

Done this on before, but thought the owl could do with some company.

Finally got around to claiming this one. Joined by TanFin. TFTC Smile

Was in Brisbane over the break. But GPS didn't survive the trip back so am having to trace back my steps (date may be out by a day or two). Found easily enough with TanFin. Geotrail pointed the muddy way. Cache was wet - the container needs replacing to seal properly. TFTC Smile

Was in Brisbane over the break. But GPS didn't survive the trip back so am having to trace back my steps (date may be out by a day or two). Found with TanFin on her first un-assisted find. Swaps were made, but can't recall what sorry. TFTC Smile

02-Jan-09
Introduced a new geocacher with this one...another one hooked! TFTC Smile

Drove right to GZ, a quick, but tentative stroll found the prize! TFTC Smile

Couldn't find a clear way into GZ - we must have missed something. Will have to find a way to come back and try again.

Might need another attempt for this one...fading light is our excuse Smile

Perhaps a sealed cache would be of benefit here. Existing one was full of redback spiders!!! Not a pleasant experience.

Log book was totally waterlogged. Took home to dry out and then replaced. TFTC Smile
