My first letterbox cache. All is in good condition, nice and dry. Thank you.

As others have mentioned, the lid is missing. The log paper is pretty much shredded and useless.

Tricky and interesting. I can see you spent a lot of time on this one, Infoferret, as did I. How, I wonder, is someone supposed to be discreet in this very popular area, with all the time this one requires, though no one passed while I was there. And when I finally found it, I also found I had lost my pen along the way. I left a stripy treat to prove I was there, but I could not sign the log. Perhaps the next cacher could write in my name "whstler" and take the treat? Thank you for your challenge on this one, Infoferret.

With four of us searching for all the pieces of the puzzle from the photos, it still took us an hour or so. Then all our numbers added up just fine. And there it is, in good kit. Thank you for the fun.

150 stairs. Wonderful view. Our second time up here, first time looking for the cache, and there it is, all safe and sound and dry. We didn't bring a pencil, and there is not one here, but I have a photo of the cache contents if you want proof we found it. Thank you for this cache.

We've been here many times, both when we first moved here and showing friends the area. Never expected there was a cache here until we started up with geocaching again. Left the travel bug here. Thank you.

Second trip worked, after reading other logs stating their GPS pointed to the left. So did ours. This time, I wandered around a bit until I found a likely mine (there are MANY in this area) and then searched there and finally found the cache. The cache is a bit wet, and the log is damp, difficult to write on.

Good news: I found a geocoin that others have been saying is not present. It was lying nearby nearly covered in mud. Perhaps the recent Cyclone Lusi blew or washed just enough duff off of it that I could spot it. Lucky find. I've taken it home and will dry it off and clean it up a bit (it's sticky and yucky), and then let it go in another nearby cache.
