Description
State Survey Marks
This is for logging the NSW State survey markers.
They are normally a small bronze disc with a serial number on them. They can be found in the most surprising places. I have seen them on bridges, in the middle of footpaths, even on the side of monuments.
To log the find:
1. You need to post a picture of the marker with a GPS Unit beside it.
2. Please include co-ords
3. Write a description of where the marker is located.
4. And just for fun, give your survey marker a terrain rating to let us all know how hard it was for you to reach it.
Feel free to Log as many as you Find
NB: I have adopted this cache from Swampgecko and will be maintaining it.

I was visiting the start of my new cache yesterday GC8PYJF yesterday (16th May 2020) and while checking the area I came across this very special Survey marker, probably amoungst the oldest I have ever seen with the number 355. It is located at S 34 00.119 E 151 13.400
It is known as Inscription Point and it was at this location that Captain Cook anchored his ship the Endeavour 250 years ago. On the 29th April 1770, he came ashore at a location some distance from here. Until the early 90's there was a plaque on the North East facing cliff face recognising the details of this event.

Despite being supposedly on leave this week, and also working from home when I am supposed to be at work, today I needed to grab some spares to fix something at Milsons Point wharf. Then a walk over to Kirribilli to catch a ferry to Kurraba Point and fix one there. The ferry then took me back to Circular Quay where I spotted this one between wharf 3 and wharf 4 before getting the train home. D1/T1 for this, though in normal times it would probably be buried under the feet of thousands of tourists. Thanks swampgecko and tronador. Unluckily it seems this has already been found so noted not found.
