Description
A leather bound manuscript to record the mark of cachers in Australia
Maybe I'm old fashioned, but nothing is quite the same as a physical record that someone has left behind. Yes, we can all type in Times New Roman or Arial, but seeing the actual marks rendered by another has an allure not equaled by typed print.
When you find a cache it's enjoyable to sit down and have a quiet read of the log book. See who has previously found it, check out their "mark"(e.g. sticker, drawing, stamp) and any other tit-bit they felt like mentioning at the time. One I particularly enjoyed was Alien Abduction (GC1B0F) by GeoMonkeys. I had it for a few days so I got to read the whole log - so did my kids, sometimes cache mate Bensel, and two other mates that I went camping with during the "abduction" period - all were impressed with its travels and stories within.
However, most times when you find a cache you can't spend the time to read the whole log - muggles, missions, the plan for the day, other commitments and the fact that the log has to stay at the cache preclude the study one would often like to make of the log-book.
This log book is different! Do take it home and study it at your leisure while you determine its next move ... but not for too long, there are a lot of people to record in this log!
It has been wrapped and placed in two containers in order to preserve the book in as good a condition as possible. Please take care when repacking the Omnibus.
The Omnibus is NOT to leave Australia. It can be claimed as a cache here and tracked as a travel bug on geocaching.com. It can therefore be passed from cacher-to-cacher in order to attend events and collect the "marks".
The intent is to gather as many Australian Geocacher logs as possible so please keep me safe and assist achieve this goal - for example attendance at events would be good.
If I get too full, please contact my owner and arrangements will be made for Volume II.
Logs
This trackable was last logged in 2019? Seems odd but hey I'm going to claim some 'unloved' for this one! Cheers!
Thank you 'Shifter Brains' for showing me this item.
While attending an event at the Mega we came across this cache. What a lot of memories here. TFTM
Hunt us down at the listed coords - Jayco Finch and white Pajero, or out on the trails.
Thanks

Discover only DO NOT remove.
Thanks Grank!
Will be with Shifter Brains and Pesky! Geomonkey.
this is one of my favorite "caches?" of all time, drew my dragaroo of course thanks!
Now that's a great idea for a Moveable Cache !
TFTC !!
Thanks for the cool cache...enjoyed the history with this one.
Nice to find an old, famous cache for the milestone.
TFTC.
Will be arriving (and leaving) with Shifter Brains.
We are the maintainers of this moveable/TB with the owners approval as he is not really involved anymore. (See log in April 2011)
We hold onto the cache and take it to events as it was 'lost' and archived at one stage.
It does not get released into the "wild".
We try to get to as many events as possible. We are planning on attending the Super Moon event that is coming up at Norah Head so you should be able to catch up with it there.

We took it to an event a couple of moths ago but all in attendance had already signed it. It will be at the next event we attend (unforntunately we had commitments when the Christmas events were on) and will definitely be at the OZ Mego event in Murray Bridge.
Very cool!
Hopefully it will come my way again and I can do so then - there was just too much happening at the time to sit down and enjoy the read.
Love the idea, I felt honoured to be adding my log to this wonderful cache. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the cache Grank, hopefully we will get to read the logs in detail next time
