Description

A top short walk in the Wielangta Forest region.

This cache takes you to a fantastic little 15 minute walk in the rainforest.

Near the cache you  will be treated to a view of a fantastic log bridge that supports part of the Wielangta forest road. Please heed the signs and do not go under it!

The Bridge

The cache is near the start of the walk (for a good satellite fix), but please, please.... do the walk, it's short but very interesting!

The cache is a cammoed 3 ltr Sistema, so full of swaps that it is almost overflowing!

Enjoy!

Removing this off the list. Will be a while before I'm back in the area.

We tried to access this cache from both ends of the road but were turned back.

The signs clearly indicate that the road is closed and no access to the rain forrst walk.

G1

The last log which indicates:
"the walking track and bridge are closed due to lots of rain."

This is not sufficient reason to archive the cache as the tracks and bridge are likely to open again at some point in the future.

It may be in the best interests of the cache owner to temporarily disable this cache until access is restored.

didn't go looking because the walking track and bridge are closed due to lots of rain.

It sure is a terrific walk. One of the best 10 minute walks you could do!!! I missed seeing the cache initially so did the walk around and then came back to it. It was a bit further in than my first looks. Thanks for a top cache, Craigrat. I've done the walk before, but it was better than I remembered!

Surely one of the most interesting short walks I have done !!
Driving across the bridge gave me no idea of what actually held it up.
Boy was I in for a surprise when I saw what holds it up.
It's almost medieval in design. The scale of it just amazed me.
The rest of the walk was just as interesting through the ferns and under the rocks with the gigantic fallen trees leaning overhead.
A must stop spot if you are passing this way.
The cache is a nice easy find too and chock full 'o' goodies.

The bunch of us progressed through this great walk, all thoroughly enjoying it - Tealby, Biggles303, Geogma and Mr Urch. The bridge is amazing. This was my second visit to this boardwalk - and previously was unaware of the GCA cache here, so just as well we came back again.
TNLN. Thanks very much for the hunt, CraigRat.

What a fantastic spot - so glad we stopped here. Found the cache easily. I took a photo of Biggles303 with the googly eyes glasses on, but then returned them to the cache. Completed the circuit on the boardwalk. TNLN TFTC.

Never been here before and if it wasn't for your cache CraigRat we probably would never have known it was here so a huge thanks.
Lots of muggles but we found a quiet area to take some photos (we probably were not meant to leave the track but we were careful not to do any damage).
Took Kaleidoscope Left Dinosaur.

We know this place very well, but now looks a little bit less appealing. Took a car toy, left corner clips. Thanks.

Talked Steve into coming this way so I could pick up 2 more caches on the way home.
Found easily (hmmm, wonder why?) with RomanSwamp and JohnnyBoy whilst Steve went berserk with his digital camera blatting away at all the ferns and the bridge and my butt when I was putting the cache back!
TNLN, Thanks CraigRat
Swampy (PS the boys did the walk this time, I've already done it when the signs were here)

Have been here before when there were signs here. An interesting bridge construction. Paulus was logging the find while Sog was still hunting around the other end of the walk. Saw a charming rose robin flitting around under the bridge. Thanks for this one Craigrat. Cacherboy desperately wanted the car but we had no swaps with us. So TNLN.

FTF This is a great place for a cache. Log bridge is quite a large one for a forestry road. Interestingly I tried using the hint from a cache that is "Temporarily Unavailable" and that was the exact location of this cache. Thanks for the cache Craig Rat
