Today was the fifth day of our excursion out of Tasmania touring from Melbourne to Canberra and return via Gippsland. We visited a number of towns and areas today between Cann River in Victoria and Cooma in New South Wales, via Jindabyne and we were lucky enough to find some caches along the way. The day started very foggy but cleared quickly to a fine day with changing proportions of blue skies and broken cloud. Travelling along the Monaro Highway we came to the Victorian/New South Wales Border. Being a major route we thought that this border crossing would have been logged but, just in case, we took some photos and coordinates just on the off chance that it had been overlooked. Well - surprise, surprise. When we checked tonight this border crossing had not been logged. So, here it is. Two photos are attached, one from each side of the border. TFTC.

This is taken just crossing over the Bringenbrong bridge on the Murray River. The area is very popular with campers and fishermen alike. If you decide to come out this way for a vist, make sure that you bring your lunch and a rod and try your luck catching the beautiful wild trout that inhabit the crystal clear waters of this side of the Murray.

On the trip to SA I just did, I passed thru 2 border crossing, going each way, but stopped only for a pic at this one.
It's a bit hard to be sure really where the border actually is, the sign on the other side of the road was several metres west of me, making where I was standing either part of both or a no-man's land of some type. Cache #63 for the trip.
thanks.
For the trip I used the routes feature on GC - only to find it missed dozens of possible caches, including one right next to this pic it seems - no idea why.
