Description
In Memory of Thag Simmons
The thagomizer is the distinctive arrangement of four to ten spikes on the tails of stegosaurid dinosaurs. These spikes are believed to have been a defensive measure against predators. The arrangement of spikes originally had no distinct name; the term Thagomizer was coined in 1982 by cartoonist Gary Larson in his comic The Far Side, and thereafter became gradually adopted as an informal term within scientific circles, research, and education.
This dinosaur has been hidden for the 2018 Geocaching Australia Spring Caching Carvival.
Please move me along as soon as you can, but no later than a few days to keep me moving during the game.
I hope you enjoy a moment or two with In Memory of Thag Simmons.

Logs
This geocache appears to be MIA so to stop it clogging the search lists we'll archive it.
A review shows the cache may have been collected from its currently listed co-ords, however it has not been relocated. The previous finder was contacted regarding the cache however it has not been relocated. As a result, we are archiving the cache to stop cachers looking for a cache that is obviously not at the listed co-ords. This is also done to keep the Geocaching Australia database clean and up to date,
If the cache owner can confirm that the cache has be relocated, they can post an unarchive log and the cache will be back in the game.

Reading previous logs, this moveable may still be in location OR may have been found, removed and not relocated yet. We know moveables can sometimes be forgotten / missed / left in the bottom of a caching bag, so a check has been undertaken on this one.

Picked up from Southwell Cemetery today and will take to the event being held at Lake Ginninderra, Canberra on Sunday. Will then move on, TFTC
This was one of the 15 movables I discovered today when out caching with Joolay in our endeavour to gain points in the current game. Thanks for the cache. All logs were signed before cache was returned to its hidey hole.

Found after a day out caching with Smittengranny playing the summer game. We came here looking for one and found others. Did not find the original one but happy to find this. TFTC

I headed out for a short morning trip to collect as many of the remaining dinosaurs and other movable caches that are still around Belconnen. The first stop was a huge success and I really liked the supplied bench for signing the logs. All were left in place.
Thanks
Albida.

After a quick trip north to the National Capital, IMO Thag is on the move again.....!
#GA3172 - 21:05; In Melbourne for a couple of days with Sol de lune. After finishing up the business end of the trip, we headed around some of the eastern suburbs for a spot of caching. A productive spot of night caching turned up this dino and his mate, ready for a trip north I suspect. TFTC caughtatwork

In Melbourne for a few days on a moveable run, with both old and new moveable caches being found and lots of old ones being dropped off. Out this side of town tonight and headed around to round up a few of the dinosaur racers.
No problems with this one, or his nearby mate, and both are now destined to visit new surroundings.
Thanks Caughtatwork....will move on in a couple of days. Like the work that has gone into this one.

Dropped on the way home from work, in the dark. He's got a travelling companion to keep him company. Travel well my prehistoric friend.
Moved on this morning in a dino swap. Good luck.

Out and about to pick up these neglected dinosaurs. Made use of the good hint to grab quickly on this annoyingly public spot.
Thanks for the dino.
