I’ve driven past this one multiple times. Today as approaching I was able to park right next to it, so, naturally Mr. Green A quick photo before continuing to Somerset Dam. Surprisingly, the rain has stopped! Thanks for the cache Smile

Dayboro trip. Day 12. With the Mega officially over, there was another day of caching to be done in the region. Today it was Fitzy_1965, MinnieK and SmittenGranny who joined me for a trip to Kilcoy. We spent the morning finding the Roses series that had been solved before the trip away. A fun collection of town and country caching, in the heavy rain at some times. Happily the heavy rain came after the walk was completed. I returned to Dayboro for my last night and the others headed north for more travel. It has been a great experience caching in the region and with so much more to do I will have to visit again. Bring on the next Brisbane Mega !

As we were here I had to stop to get an image.

Thanks for the cache

The Dayboro Mega event is over and a group of us came north to Kilcoy to see if we could find all the caches here. This is the only GCA one and I decided to take the more humorous option, but thanks for the cache Gulliver's Travels. Very HappyVery HappyClan CerberusClan Cerberus

#GA5158 - 08:45; Day seven of a road trip with Sol de lune as we head north for the CacheQLD - Dayboro Mega. After a second night in Esk, we packed up and headed off on our final leg to the Mega. High on the agenda for today was awaiting advice on the Brisbane lockdown and whether or not the Mega would actually go ahead, or whether we would be turning around and heading home early. While we waited, we set out to log the "65 Roses" geoart series in and around Kilcoy. After grabbing a snack at the bakery across the road, we headed over for a snap of the Yowie. Yowie Park is a top spot to stop at any time.. shady picnic tables, bakery across the road, coffee van and on one visit, other geocachers. We could have taken the photo on many different occasions (have one from before this virtual). This one was taken today. TFTV Gullivers Travels54.

Stopped and grabbed the required photo before heading to the information centre to find out about camping at the showgrounds. The volunteer showed us the original yowie statue and told us that the present one is the third to be put there. He also told us that the first 2 were wood but that this one was made from a cast of the second one and is actually fibre glass. Certainly looks like wood though.
Thanks.

Driving through Kilcoy and there was an unfound ( by me ) GA hide here. This has now been rectified. The weather was a bit overcast and there were not many people here at 0815 in the morning. Quick stop for this one. TFTC Gullivers Travels54. Clan MinotaurVery HappyStabbyI'm a Gnome, duh!Ribbit
