Description

This one is one of many I am publishing to assist with GA15853

Out in the wetern areas of Outback Australia it is often necessary to have emergency airstrips and they use the closest bitumen roads. there are many in Western Queensland and two that come to mind are South Of Windorah on the road to Quilpie and South of Winton on the Jundah road.

There is plenty of singage on these well short of where they start and end.

Wow I'm not sure I've every driven down one of these potential airstrips. I figure if I had it would have lit my imagination and I would remember the experience. But I guess it's a prudent measure to have some places assigned for any planes that might have trouble in the middle of nowhere. Makes you wonder what the plan is if a plane is in trouble over an ocean...

Thanks for the thought-provoking image, jigsaw, and cache! Very HappyShockedExclamationExclamationClappingThinkThinkClan Cerberus
