Description
River Bend Recycled was originally a geocaching.com cache, but has now been recycled to Geocaching Australia.
A nice meandering park offering a walking / cycling track as well as permitting dogs off the leash.
Ducks and other waterfowl have habitats in this area as the water slows to curve around the gentle bend in this river.
Snakes and lizards also have habitation in this area, so please be wary of putting your hands where you can't see what's there.
This cache is a 330ml container, disguised to match the surroundings.
If you go searching for this cache after dark, make sure you bring a torch otherwise you may end up a lot lower than you originally planned.

Logs
As a recycled cache location, it would seem that most of the potential visitors have already been past. The cache is also missing (well, it's not where I hid it), so I'll archive this cache.
Have to log a DNF. It was cold and wet....I was cold and wet, but I searched for a while. The camo probably beat me, but wow, there was certainly some water rushing by....
Will be back to try again....thanks anyway.

What a pleasant little area in which the river has been preserved fairly much in its original state. We were intrigued by the home made signs indicating the best place to find an amenities block!
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt caughtatwork.

28/12/2010 017:03 Found: #148 So close to a major road but a nice hide in mostly natural surroundings. It is evident that most of the native bush is now manicured. Even so, a lovely spot. You could sort of see what it would have looked like once you get low enough. A good cache for the numbers on this massive day out to the Melton Intervening Days event. TFTC TNLN SL

A poor start to our day. But what a great location that I never knew existed. Younger members of hideandseek enjoyed taking pictures of the ducks.
We will attempt this again as we get better.
Thanks

Found the one in the other place some time ago, so this was easily found today. The landscape has improved since then. Thanks.

Beautiful park and a lovely walk along the river on as nice a day as winter gives you! We wouldn't have guessed that such a nice spot was just next to the highway. The Sparrow member of Team Sparrow slept through it though.

What a nice little area, and I really loved the peppercorn tree - brings back memories of climbing a similar tree at my grandmother's neighbour's place as a child.
Was very strict with the 3yo about where she could and couldn't go, much to her disgust, but I didn't fancy catching her as she fell otherwise, and after slipping (up where she was still safe) she understood why.

A lovely spot so close to a horrible highway, that is a lot less busy than it used to be with a new Deer Park Bypass
A relative easy find, even without clues. Thanks for this nice spot in the burbs.

Unfortunately I didn't get around to finding this one on the other site.
We were in the area already caching and decided to stop and look for this cache also.
I love the sound of running water over rocks.
Thanks again caughtatwork for this cache.

Found at 5.05pm on our way to visit friends for tea. Our first GCA Cache. Took Nothing Left Sticky Notes Thanks Caughtatwork
Got this one on way to work this morning.
What an amazing spot, I have driven by here for a decade now, none the wiser to what was in this gully.
Many Thanks

Found 11.45am
It's been a while since we were here last, had to walk round to the bottom to get the best view of the cache location. Plenty of water flowing as we logged the cache.

Thank C@W for the reason to return

GCA Cache # 11
@ 8.30pm.
It was not all that long ago when i was here logging this cache as a GC find. So didn't need a GPS for this one.
But enjoyed this one as much as last time.

*FTF*, 9.00am. I feel a little guilty claiming this FTF, as I have previously found this cache, but with it sitting there at the top of my Victorian Dashboard for the past few days, screaming "Find me!", what could I do? It was very pleasant here by the river this morning, and of course I found the cache quickly. I'm not yet convinced that moving these from GC to GCA is a good idea? Maybe leave them on GC, and list new ones (at new locations) on GCA instead?
Thanks for the chance to revisit the river.
