Description
I found this statue whilst walking along the waterfront.
This bollard depicts James Harrison (17 April 1816 - 3 September 1893) was a British Australian newspaper printer, journalist, politician and pioneer in the field of mechanical refrigeration. Harrison found the Geelong Advertiser newspaper and was a member of the Victoria Legislative Council and Victorian Legislative Assembly.
You must have visited the site in person, not online.
Take photo of yourself with statue or cacher name on your hand or paper.
Enjoy the walk along waterfront.

Our GPS had us parking up on the street above this. We walked to the path and realised it was down there.
We couldn't see the bottom path so decided that if we couldn't find an easier way to access this one we were going to give it a miss.
Then we noticed cars parked below and after joining them saw the perfectly good path to GZ that wasn't visible from the top.
A bit of local knowledge would have helped here initially!
A short stroll and we were soon where we needed to be.
Thanks Whitepaws9.

A very quick find on an extremely warm afternoon here down at the Geelong waterfront. We walked from this location down to the swimming pools at Eastern Beach collecting a couple of GC virtual and physical caches and then made our way to the car after about 2 hours. A nice stroll, very, very warm, but very pleasant.
Thanks for this virtual location here today.

Stopped by this one at 19:10 while finishing off a GC cache nearby. A nice quick one in the light rain and I was off.
Thanks Whitepaws9.

I have done this walk on a previous trip a few years ago so it was nice to revisit some of these bollards.

Managed to find this fellow. As I was by myself the image shows my GPS and name on paper. Thanks for the chance of revisiting this bollard.

Suscoe visited James today while on our daily walk. We were masked and sanitized too.
It was a lovely afternoon for a walk and a few folks were also out enjoying the sun and the gentle breeze.
Thanks to Whitepaws9 for this virtual, James was certainly a pioneer in many areas and he left his mark on Geelong and the world.
Mr and Mrs Suscoe are pictured with James.
