Description

Made in Australia week runs from 24th to 30th May

And this Virtual Event runs for 7 days to correspond with it.

Do not attempt to swim to this one, it is a virtual event,

To attend all you have to do is purchase 5 items any time during this week with the genuine made in Australia green and gold kangaroo logo on them, take a photo of them with the receipt and include the photo when you log this virtual event.  Older receipts will not be acceptable.

When you buy Australian, you support Australia—you create jobs and economic activity while enjoying products made to some of the highest standards in the world. Look for the Australian Made logo when you shop to be sure your purchases are genuinely Aussie.

If every household spent an extra $10 a week on Australian Made products, an additional $5 billion would be generated in our economy, creating 11,000 new jobs

Congratulations themd on FTF and for being the first to attend the event.

Totally agree with you. We try to support Aussie farmers where possible.
Our list includes - milk, cheese, yoghurt, butter and raspberries.

Unfortunately I didn't qualify for this one. I only ended up with two Aussie items bought. Thanks for the great concept for an event and hopefully I will qualify next time.

While shopping this week we purchased some products displaying the green and gold Made in Australia kangaroo logo. Two photos have been added to this log, with each photo showing three items (with the Made in Australia logo clearly visible) and the associated receipt. Thanks Cybergran V for the event and for highlighting the need to support Australian manufacturers.

I’m a bit late arriving at this event. Muggle Hubby went shopping earlier in the week and brought back Australian made raspberry jam, bread, crumpets, and several different containers of milk, my Lac free and his normal, but didn’t keep the receipts.
Yesterday he ventured forth once again buying my favourite yoghurt in Aldi, and crumpets, pasta, and Campbell’s chicken and beef stock.
Luckily he remembered the receipts this time.
The Campbells Soup Factory is very close to Shepparton and, of course the SPC and Ardmona products are all made here.

Thank you for this challenge and the virtual event. This one was more difficult than I thought it would be. Found many Australian Made symbols on products but they were in various colour of white brown or grey.
My list all showing The correct colour required.

Oat Blend Breakfast
SPC Baked Beans
Golden Circle pineapple slices
Edgell Corn Kernals
Masterfoods tomato Sauce
Sanitarium Wet Bix
Sorry the receipt is upside down with the products.

Well certainly a great and diferent idea for an event.

I was sent to the supermarket tonight so I overstocked on a few Aussie goods.

My hoist included.

Vegemite
Bega Peanut Butter
Rosella Tomato Sauce
Strawberries
Bega Cheese
Carmans Granola.

The only dissapointment I thought was the Carman's and the peanut butter

It has the green kangaroo.

But read the fine print and it is made up of only just over 60% australian product on the Carman's.

The Peanut Butter was a pitiful 10%!!

The rest were all over 90%.

Thanks for the fun!

TFTE Very Happy

Encourage your friends and family to do the same this week, and every week.
We need to create more Australian made products and jobs.
