Description

Wouldn't you think they'd check first?

Recently we went to the Braddon Lookout in NW Tassie to look for a cache and then revisited to hide a gnome.  While we were there the second time a couple of cars pulled up and people piled out to admire the view, so we had to play tourist and go "Ooh" and "Aah" and take some photos until they left and we could finish the job.

In the attached photos of the points of interest panel at the lookout, the peak in the Dial Range that is named the Gnomon has been mislabelled the "Gnome Man" (sort of appropriate when you are there to hide a gnome!).

We looked through the Locationless cache listings but couldn't find anywhere that it fitted properly so the only thing to do is to set up a new one.

What we are looking for are real signs (not homemade ones or downloads from the internet) that have spelling mistakes or are just wrong.  Record the coordinates and take photos, with you or your GPSr included in the photo.  Log as many as you can find, but only one listing per sign please.

Seems we doubled up on an existing Locationless by mistake so will archive it. Brick Wall

Hmmm - I guess now cachers can log a 2 for 1 - this cache seems very identical to GA1618 WanAus 138 - Proof Reader's Reward.

This was our only find today. We live nearby and this photo is wrong. The units are actually in Boolimba Crescent but the sign on the units says "Boolimba Street". TFTC. Clapping

I was passing by after getting the 'Granville' Trig and this caught my eye. Must be some new sort of establishment, or perhaps it is a place where you can rest your aunt!
If you are in Granville go look for it and ask where are all the aunties!

I didn't notice the error in the wording on this plaque until I was looking at the photos from my recent holiday to the Sunshine Coast. Obviously they were so impressed with the work of the volunteers, they felt it necessary to mention them twice in the same sentence Laughing See second sentence in second paragraph.

***FTL***

I find this Tailor amusing everytime I drive past.

He cant seem to work out if he's Continental or Continetal.

Depends on how high or low you look!!
