Description
The Ice Cold Frog really should be titled "Your Highness". He does not want to mix with the lower classes of society wishing to stay high, preferably above the clouds.
Ice Cold is not interested in frequent moving preferring to stay in the high altitudes.
He is not interested in dainty slippers nor white sneakers, but prefers the cacher with the hiking boots.
Come and get him and please share the views.
Kosicousko, Mt Ossa, Black Bluff, Pillinger, Bogong, Bartle Frere are all places that Ice Cold would like to visit.
Ice Cold likes snow and naturally ice, and thinks that sand and surf are absolutely redunckulus!!

Hi Carroll Eyre
I found this frog with a group of others. He seems in fairly good condition. What do you want to do with him - I can hold him until the geo sports OR if you un archive then I can put him back out
Your choice

What an amazing accident, that is to be disabled in suburbia by a fellow mountain climber. Oh the tragic irony for one's last croak.
I had a brief visit with Ice Cold Frog at the 29th February event in Hobart (just prior to him losing his crown!)
I picked up Ice Cold Frog from the event and then I accidentally dropped him on his head .. terrible accident but I don't think he felt a lot of pain. ...I took him straight to the vet where he underwent immediate cranial surgery to repair his poor crown, (don't look at the picture if you have a weak stomach!) ... He is currently in recovery and as soon as he is well I will release him into the wild again
Dropped at an event for the leap year. The frog had been with me to long
Dom has been awesomely impressed by Ice cold frog's mountain hide. Thanks to the high hiders!
Found Before walking to the dragon slaying event. Nice little frog, that needs a home. But the only cold place I intend visiting tomorrow is the freezer. Maybe I can find a home for him in new Norfolk. Thanks for the frog
To the top of Neika Hill behind the water tank.
Hi CarollEyre
Was dubious about travelling up the mountain to look for this one due to the cloud cover shrouding it.
However, drove up through the mist to find it not that bad once you were there. This was only my second time to the Ice Rink.
It didn't take long to find this poor white, frozen croaker.
The log was signed at 1315hrs.
Loved the flora today - plenty of pics but don't know their names.
The drive back down the mountain was worse than that coming up; but made it safely.
TFTC and cheers;
OldSaint.

Spending the night together gave Flip and Ice plenty of opportunity to plan where would be a good spot for Ice's next adventure. They came up with a plan and went to collect a few friends to make the journey to the old ice skating rink on top of Mt Wellington with them. The skating crew made a detour to the pinnacle to take some photos before enjoying the last of the sun at the rink itself. Not sure if there will be any ice and snow tonight, but you never know in this location.
We found Ice loitering in a comfortable little cave in the vicinity of Whisky Jims Knob. He seemed to be setting up a larger acommodation esatblishment (a la Bear Gryllis) nearby, but we convinced him that he should travel with Flip a while. He will probably spend a couple of nights with Flip before heading off in search of icy conditions again.
Today we were heading off to Liffey to find GA3150, Whisky Jim's Knob. Ice Cold begged to come to. He was great company and thoughly enjoyed the trek in. When we reached the cave he had to explore "Dom would expect me to thoroughly investigate this cave" he said excitedly. On to the cache we went and Ice Cold was excited to find the hide. As we prepared to walk out Ice Cold said he'd like to stay. It wasn't a mountain but a decent sized hill and he loved the cave and surrounding rock area as well as the great views of the valley through the trees and maybe the next cacher to collect him might leave him on nearby Drys Bluff. He chose a little cave about 15m to the East of the main cave which looked as if it is occasionally occupied. He felt he would be able to observe the natural comings and goings from here without being in danger of being muggled. He selected a bark blanket before entering his cave.
Well what do we do this morning after some washing and mowing? Check on frog locations of course. A new frog on Duncan. What does the weather look like? Who cares. So off we go. The road in had deteriorated some what from our last visit but got to the track Ok. Love this area. Half way up met a group of radio enthusiasts on their way down after a maintenance visit. Not cachers thank goodness. After a chat continued on and made a quick find. His Highness demanded to spend some time enjoying the view and the sun while we had lunch. Then into the pack with him and off we went back down. Met 2 other groups heading up - a busy day on the track today. We will get him to a new high place very soon and this time we'll wear our walking boots. Thanks for a great cache Dom. Almost forgot this was a FTF
