Description
Gnugget the GeGnome
Gnugget is an entry in the 2015-2016 Movable GeGnome Game
This is a challenge of moving GeGnomes along, not trying to make them impossible to find, so help your fellow players out, give a good hint and make the task enjoyable.
The game commences 00:00:00 1 December 2015 AEDST and concludes 23:59:59 31 January 2016 AEDST
Please log a find when you pick me up and then add another "Moved" log when you put me in a new spot.
That way the distance I travel counts for the race.
Thanks for finding gnomes!
Rules of the game
- Your GeGnome must be a genuine, bone fide garden gnome. It may be store bought or hand crafted.
- Caches for the competition must be published on 1 December 2015 Australian Eastern Daylight Time (Geocaching Australia Time).
- The game administrators decision is final.
- You may find and move your own GeGnome during the game period.
- Caches must be found and hidden by the same geocacher (i.e. no mailing the GeGnome to another geocacher to hide).
- There is no limit to the number of times a geocacher can find / move the GeGnome provided there are at least two other finds / moves in between.
- If a geocacher moves your GeGnome overseas and it remains unfound overseas for 1 week or more, the GeGnome mover may move your GeGnome back to the country of origin without breaking the "2 moves" rule.
- There is no limit to the distance other geocachers can move the GeGnome.
- Avoid rehiding a GeGnome far from active geocachers territory as it basically exits the gnome from the race
- When rehiding a GeGnome get good co-ordinates. Seriously. Don't dump and run. Get co-ords as you would a permanent GeGnome.
- When making your log against a GeGnome include a good hint so the finder can identify whether it's been moved, muggled or just a bad GPS day.
- This is a challenge of moving GeGnomes along, not trying to make them impossible to find, so help you fellow players out by making the task enjoyable
- Please avoid hiding movable caches near existing Groundspeak or Geocaching Australia geocaches. At Groundspeak geocaches they go missing as rubbish or taken as trades. At Geocaching Australia geocaches the other geocache ends up travelling as well which it's not supposed to. So please find a location away from any existing geocaches (except of course other movable geocaches) to keep the GeGnomes in play for as long as possible.

Logs
This geocache appears to be MIA so to stop it clogging the search lists we'll archive it. This is done to keep the geocaching Australia clean and up to date.
If the owner can confirm it is in place the listing can be resurrected by placing an "unarchived" log against it.

What can I say I found Gnugget in a sad sad state, its hat has been broken, a foot smashed off. He was with friends, I heard a story about them being taken home by a muggle but , they returned them when explained the rules of our little game.
Seem someone has found them ripped them apart and played kick it to me......................... Ratdog12 and I searched out the remains and have them all at home here with us. Didn't find a log with this one but I may just put them into our garden for a nice resting place. If you should wish for us to do something other just let us now.

Close to the coal jetties & near one of three impressive Groundspeak caches, the others on your way. Ignore the sign about no entry as public can now drive to locked gate which is where you park. A bunch of 'em.
Found with a bunch of his mates on a wild & windy day - thanks to Throsbyonchurch for the special delivery.
I could say I found Gnugget, but in reality, it's probably a comme ci comme ca. It was pretty funny chasing movable gnomes , angels , frogs etc down the freeway only to catch them and be plucking them from their hide'y hole and bursting at the seams carrying these wiggly giggly thingys back to a box in your mobile and clutching onto them almost for dear life. The whole look is hilarious. An enormous Thank You to Just a Cacher and Black Bunny for finding Gnugget and dropping him off. Thank you iluvtrekking for sharing Gnugget.

Went out to near Yass, and found a surprising number of movables, all in one spot.

Feeling really cranky, you travel all this this way to collect caches and people don't log that they have taken them, or they've had them in their possession for months. No consideration. Ruins the game!!! and it's unfair. ..... i'm just cranky because there are supposed to be 86 movables in the ACT to date and I can't access the majority of them and I'm fining this to be the case most of the time. Right or wrong from what I can see I can see why cachers don't bother too much about Geocaching Australia caches.

Swapped over in an exchange of prisoner moveables......so already gone
#GA907 - 19:30; I had just returned from Tassie, where I had received alerts that a marauding bunch of moveables had reached Canberra. Conveniently they had just re-emerged not too far from home, so I popped over and did the pick up. TFTC iluvtrekking

The group of us have decided to party in Jacka a northern suburb of Canberra. We are at the posted co-ords which is near a little play park. We are not in the park but to the left of the entry gate. We all await your visit.
Discovered this little fellow at the Walk for Life Event 28/2/16 TFTC

Discovered with the gophers at an event, where there was a great array of GCA's to choose from.

GNUGGET is in residence at The Rock until we head over to Canberra in the next week or so.
A nice easy find for this and all of the moving geocaches today. It was quite warm outside today, but this was a nice was to spend the afternoon. Thanks for this cache.

Found this one today along with a host of others. They should all be moved along very shortly.

Move to this little bush reserve with some friends
Sorry for hanging onto Gnugget for so long, but he desperately wanted to travel back to Melbourne with us. He's now residing safely in a usual Gnome Haunt in the western suburbs, just waiting for someone to happen along to grab and move him again. This little trip should have put some k's on his clock
Found this with caughtatwork early in the day during my holiday in WA.

GabGab and I have picked this one and will either move him along shortly or we will take him back to Melbourne for a trip in a few days.

Anyone flying out of T3 Qantas or Jetstar?
May I tag along for the ride?
I'm hiding in a bush near main car park.

Out and about looking for Star Wars dress ups and dropped the guy off on the way.
I love this area, I grew up riding my push bike then my horse and then my motor bike along this track. Now my girls walk the dog and ride their quad bikes along the same track.

Beautiful day to visit Augusta. Gnugget decided he wanted to stay longer.
resting in a tree at head height enjoying the birds
3 gnomes are waiting here to continue their journey. Take seat on the limestone edging and reach behind yourself into the garden bed to find yhem with your hands.
Discovered Gnugget will get him back on the road shortly.

Have laid him to rest near a Community Centre in Hammersley
Not sure whether a "Noted" log is the same as a write note log in GC terms, however The Gnome is in my car now so moving lots and lots and I will log a "Moved Log when I find a nice spot for him tomorrow, hopefully!
Note to self, don't fiddle with the co-ords until you have placed it!

Message to all players
It is best to place a "Found it" log when you first pick up the Gnome, and then a "Moved" log when you put it in a new spot, that way the distance traveled counts for the race. Feel free to send an email to [email protected] if you have any questions. Thanks for finding gnomes and moving them along!

Yay number 2 in my sojourn with GCA! and all in one day!
This fellow had fallen asleep in a tree but it was a nice cool spot. As I walked to GZ there was a van in the park and all of a sudden the sprinklers came on, so I had a very slight shower, which was pleasant enough considering the temp was hitting near 35 plus.
Will move this fellow on in my travels NE tomorrow.
Still getting used to the logging procedure, the co-ordinates section at this stage baffles me? But I will learn as I go. Maybe a gnome will teach me more next Saturday.
