Description
This cache is for when you are held up when driving some where and are required to stop!
Maybe it's by temporary traffic lights due to road works in the middle of nowhere, stop/go people with signs or animals on the road or even a special event or parade. It could be a house being moved or a large piece of equipment being transported.
Please note that this cache is not for regular traffic lights or stop signs but rather those unexpected stop / go situations you are not expecting. This locationless cache gives you something to do while you wait!
To claim a find for this locationless you must get a photo of whatever it is that has caused you to need to STOP. Please include the co ords and a little story of what happened.

Tbh, I'm not a huge fan of many locationless caches. I enjoy the ones that make me discover new things around town or in my travels, or ones that get you out and about on a hunt. This one was more of a stumbling across cache. I needed to find a #cacheopolyyellow cache for the current Cacheopoly game to keep moving around the board. So here it is. And a story to go with it...
I had to go visit a farm/er out this way to walk and mark a fenceline BlazeAid will be helping fix in the new year. Sid was a lovely fellow only about 5 to 10 years older than me. Single too. He's been living in the Bentley area for about 12 months. He used to live at Brooklet, which I know as the place with the Gaia Retreat and Spa that Olivia Newton John set up. He even name dropped having Christmas with the Hemsworths a few years back. So, yeah, Byron Hinterland country where a small slice of land is a million dollars, haha. He looked like a bit of a surfer. His 3 children are all in their 20s, like mine. Because I am the contact for BlazeAid while the Coodrinator is away over Christmas, I had to give him my number in case he had any questions - The coordinator was with me and trying to set us up. In all truth, I'm not into farm life, but he might be worth getting to know more. hahaha.

I was driving to a client’s place and cows spilled out onto the road. A farmer was moving cattle between paddocks using a quad bike. You just have to stop and be patient in the country and hope the animals pass by without incident. Thanks for the cache Doodle Bug Oz
I was in Toowoomba catching up with geo-buddy icklelego out from Ireland. We were on our way to a nearby Letterbox cache that required a bush walk when we encountered a python on the road near the parking area.. Welcome to Australia haha! I’ve seen LOTS of snakes recently. It made me stop. I convinced the snake to get off the road due to it being better for health reasons. Once the snake was safe we continued our caching adventure. Thanks for the cache

I have dr iven through this area three times in the past month and on each occasion was required to stop. Bridge works is the reason for the stoppage controlled by portable traffic lights.

This photo was taken years go for this cache and I'm finally getting around to using it.
We were caching in the Warrnambool area and had just come from a cache at the surf club when we were held up in Pertobe Road at S38 23.582 E142 28.811.
The hold up was for road works.
Thanks.

This photograph was taken on one of our caravan road trips. We have had to stop many occasion for cattle who are on the move. TFTC

On a trip to Geelong from Blue Mountains via Apollo Bay and Kennett River - plenty of roadworks with people with stop and go signs and some portable traffic lights. I was stopped at these portable lights on The Great Ocean Road for long enough to plot co-ordinates for this locationless. TFTC

Brahman & other breeds
Near Isisford QLD
A huge herd of mixed breeds incl. brahman cattle were being driven along a TSR surrounding the road from Blackall. Generally you could drive slowly along but at times they just won't move so what better to do than take a photo. Keep movin', movin', movin' though they're disapprovin' - lyrics from a classic Western.

We were held up briefly near Windermere, Tas on our geocaching adventures yesterday while some roadworks were undertaken. Thanks Doodle Bug Oz for organising this locationless geocache.
Traffic is held up here due to the road being damaged in recent earthquakes

Stopped at a road works traffic light in Gravelly Beach in northern Tasmania. Surprisingly the boys were hard at work.. thanks..!!

Roadworks on the way to Karratha- what was unusual was how long the one way road was. We estimated it was a 10km stretch of road. When we got to the other end the people were out of their cars and sitting on their car bonnets and walking around have a chin- wag.
We were heading to Lake Leake for caching and we were held up twice along the Midlands Highway that is currently being upgraded/repaired in several places. This 'stop' was just before Melton Mowbray, Tas. TFTL
On the way back to Lorne from Deans Marsh we sadly had to stop for an accident.
A car clipped a motor bike rider and ran off the road.
We waited over an hour for the ambo to arrive and take the injured rider away.
Happy to say we were told she was ok.

Stop or Go on Sublime Point Road in Leura, NSW
They were fixing the electricity lines yet again. I counted 20 trucks and more than 40 workers!
Attached is a photo of one of them, with the GeoBuru2's Tom Tom GPSr in the picture . . .

A lot of road work going on around here - but we didn't have to stop for too long

mr sharnie's tribe has a real talent for red lights, I've never seen anything like it. However it took a little while to meet the requirements for this locationless. Finally, on our way between Horsham and Murray Bridge we encountered bridge works at the Wimmera River and got the red light photo! TFTL

On my way to pick up rogerw3 for a geocaching expedition north of Lithgow, and I found various teams out surveying for the widening of the GWH between Victoria Pass and Bowenfells.
I didn't get held up very log at all.
Will be a good improvement for this section of the road.

Drove past this temporary set of traffic lights this morning, then headed back out this afternoon to get the details and photos to log the cache. There are three sets of temporary traffic lights on this section of Mirrabei Drive due to a new sub-division being developed at MONCRIEFF East Residential Estate Stage 1. TFTC Doodle Bug Oz

Was stopped quite near my own 'Sublime Seven' geocache while the power poles were being replaced along Sublime Point Road.
Was 'on hold' for only a minute due to light traffic!

Heading along Majura Road in Canberra, next to where they are building a new 4 lane roadway. Not out this side of town that often but managed to grab a quick photo as I drove past the stop/go man.

We came across a temporary set of traffic lights on the Boyer Road, between New Norfolk and Bridgewater. The traffic lights were in place because half the road was closed whilst maintenance was being completed. The photo added to the Gallery shows a red light stopping our progress whilst traffic was coming through in the other direction.
I was driving well off the beaten track to find a cache on a road that does not receive too many non resident cars. Approaching Black Duck Creek on the Mt Sylvia road Qld I came around the corner and there was the bridge works. Council still trying to fix up creek crossings after the 2011and 2013 floods. This is a minor road and it had a temporary crossing for locals. Now the more permanent fix. TFTC

1445 If you want a 'sure bet' you could always drive the Oxley Highway, as there ALWAYS seems to be a surprise set of road works going on, or a tree over the highway.
Came around the corner to find a couple of cars stopped. By the time I had the camera out the lights had changed, and they had taken off.
Thanks for the Locationless Doodle Bu Oz
By the way, I had already had x 2 FTFs, and I was on a further 50 km drive (each way) to get a third one. The next one is 90 km (ATCF) from home.

Hi Doodle Bug Oz
The Dunalley Canal is used by boats of all sorts to avoid miles of travel round the Tasman Peninsula on the high seas.
For those travelling by road, when these boats pass through the canal, road traffic is stopped at the most unexpected times. Not a daily occurrence but most frustrating when it does happen.
Will let the photos tell the story.
TFTC and cheers

Great idea for a locationless.
Got held up very regularly near my place as they built a high rise apartment block out of shipping containers. We are all waiting to see what it looks like when it is finished. It is for uni students. Thanks Doodle Bug Oz.
