I don't know what this is or why it is here and I haven't been able to find out much about it. Still it is a pretty purple colour and its very close to the carpark so he deserves a visit.
Logs
We noticed this as soon as we pulled into the carpark, an interesting sculpture.

Found on a walk around the Bendigo CBD chasing ALs and GA/GC virtuals primarily.... long range shot - there were kids picnicking at the base...

After all the years of coming to Bendigo it was time to finally check this one off the list
'Uncle Dan' finally decided to let us 'unclean' Melbourne Metro people to travel to regional so was great to be able to get back to Bendigo to catch up with family again and to grab a cache or two.
Many thanks again The Morris for highlighting this area.

We spotted the bear from the top of the tower so after finding that and the new traditional cache we came here for a photo. We though that thing in front was humpty dumpty, but our children have a vivid imagination. Thanks for another vurtual.
There sure is. Not sure whose head is lying in front of the bear, but it seems ghastly enough to justify protecting its eyes from the sight.

Caching in the Bendigo area for a couple of days and these virtuals were on our hit list. We found the bear on our way to find Peter, lovely sculptures. TFTC

907. It looks like this may be the last year that our annual re-union will take place in Bendigo. So I took some time to grab some GCA virtuals.
TFTV and the porridge.

Early this morning we used the virtual caches to guide us around parts of Bendigo. The mixture of sculpture and historic locations was very interesting, a tour we thoroughly enjoyed.
This is a most interesting sculpture. The subject matter would appear to all, especially children. The black colour makes the object dominate the surrounding area. The skill of the sculptor in creating this art is of teh highest quality. A photo of Mrs y'stassie with The Bear (Pooh?) has been added to the Gallery. Thanks The Morris for the cache and the series.

After dropping off some GCA moveable caches at a well known peppercorn tree we headed into town hoping the spanish cafe would be open. Alas, they were closed and we starved. We did, however, stop in View St for a few GCA virtual caches.
I had to wait a few minutes for some very young kids to stop trying to climb on poor Pooh before I could take a photo with my gps visible.
Thanks The Morris. It's always good to find a GCA cache.
