Description
Gordon Reserve
Unfortunately this geocache has nothing to do with Commissioner James (Jim) Gordon or Batman.
The Gordon Reserve is a small triangle of land bounded by Spring Street and Macarthur Street, containing the Stanford Fountain (1870), the Gordon of Khartoum Memorial (1889), the Adam Lindsay Gordon Memorial (1932), the underground women's public toilet (c1924), and five Canary Island date palms. Nearby is also the entrance to Parliament Station. The Reserve was originally part of the Parliament House grounds, but it became detached from these in 1863 and was called Carpentaria Place.
Read more about Gordon Reserve which is a heritage listed location.
The geocache you seek is a small sistema container only 200ml in volume. It is somewhat camouflaged to match its surroundings and is out of the way of the normal foot traffic of the folks who like to visit this location at lunchtime and as they arrive and leave work via the train station. It contains only a small log book and pen and regrettably no swaps. There were two sets of averaged co-ordinates taken over two days and the EPE (accuracy) varied from 4m to 6m. There is a very good hint if you are unable to pointpoint the cache with all the foot traffic around.

Thanks caughtatwork....like the bold hide.
A quick find in among a homeless persons sleeping quarters and belongings. Great history behind this area.
Thanks Caughtatwork

The cache retrieval was quite easy late on a Friday evening and the light rain also helped keep people away.
Thanks C@W.
A friend was offering some furniture we were interested in... the only catch was that it was in the CBD.
On the upside, the best time to collect large objects from the city is late at night, especially in the 35+ degree weather we've had for the past few days. So, I might be able to finally log a couple of caches that have been Muggle Central each time I've visited.
Car filled with lengths of metal, I parked at the top end of the city, and set off on foot. This was the 10th cache of the evening... two GCA trads in a row! Phone caching, I may have struggled to find the container without the hint. Thanks again for the history lesson and the hunt, C@W.

A quick find here thanks to the hint - not too many people around on a Sunday...

Thanks caughtatwork for bring me here and cache.
thanks for the cache caughtatwork, it's a good one!
Despite the muggle presence, I leaped in to make the retrieval (or perhaps it was the beer).
Well at 10:37pm I'm sure this would be a little easier than around 4-6pm.
I just had to wait for a couple of security guards to move on.
Then I pounced for a quick find.
Nice spot for a cache to.
