Just to confirm the 4 DNFs before: This cache seems to be gone. This area of the bush has been burned down and there was no sign of a container what so ever. We didn't poke in every hole (possibility of snakes hiding everywhere) but this location definitely needs to be checked. Thanks for hiding the initial box though!
Had no luck with this one either, our caching on Russell Island has not been very successful only 1 out of 3!!! Thanks for bringing us here, its a nice spot.
The area where I suspect the cache was has been burnt. I had a good look but suspect the cache is now toast. TFTH anyway.
Today was the day out with Alchemy2 with our bikes..this was the last island of all Bay islands we visited. Interested to see more of these islands...so peaceful and beautiful.
Good spot for cache. Thank to The Nanks.

Lovely day riding bike around this island with Ozymru. Beautiful view from local cache.Today was the day out with Alchemy2 with our bikes. We got caught for not wearing helmets. Ooops! cos we were so peaceful minds on this island.. glad got away from the mainland. Thanks for bring us here,The Nanks.
Cunningly hidden little park - we got to this one from the water while on a day's aquacaching in the geotinny. Approached it from a nearby beach hoping we wouldn't end up in someone's back garden but the path took us up to a nearby road and we were able to get into the park without trouble. Cache was where it just had to be. TFTC

The last find on a day of island hopping with friends and workmates from Hong Kong. The girls gave up and stayed at the jetty while CM. Don and myself strolled off to the area.
The cache was easily found and we TNLN.
We caught the next ferry back to the mainland. A great day was had by all and the Hong Kong mates saw some of the beauty of Australia.

Our first cache on a lovely visit to the islands. Luckily it was an easy find, so we were out before the mozzies got to us!

Off we cycled from Slow Progress & it was slow progress. We spread over several hundred metres. Thank heavens for mtn bikes. Found cache in a likely spot. Headed back to the ferry in a shower of rain. TFTC
Mal went in search for this one while the remainder of the lost bunch and Hothead went searching for the other ones on the Island, found without much problem and met, Urdea, Geopilots and CaleD. TFTC/SL L-TB x2
I just read "hire scooters" in a previous log - noooooo! I ended up running back to the ferry as I only had 50 mins on foot from arrival to departure on this island. All this exercise when I could have had it soooo easy...
Cache was found quickly. took a couple of TBs.

A stroll across the island brought me to this lovely bit of bushland today. Where could the cache be ?
There was some russelling in the bush, so I headed toward the noise and found some fellow cachers with the cache in hand
A nice spot for a stroll and a nice easy find. TFTC

Found this one with Mrs Lat&Long and geonephew Bedmaker. Not too difficult and very few mozzies at 10:30am. Had a nice pedal up from the ferry terminal and found a nice track AFTER finding the cache. TN/LN/SL. Rode back to the jetty enjoying our short taste of island life.
Our first find for the day on our pedal around the Bay Islands. (Mr Lat& Long and nephew Bedmaker) Mozzies weren't a problem but that may be because we were lathered in repellant 'just in case'!!. What a nice little piecs of bushland. This is were I found some beautiful little purple flowers that I knew from my childhood as 'fringed lillies'
When waiting for the next Waterbus I watched a pair of Ospreys playing on the air currents; soaring ever upwards then wheeling down again. Every now and then the sun caught the copper colour of their feathers which shone beautifully.
This is why I always carry my binoculars and camera and have sore shoulders from a heavy backpack [^].

Russelling there was, too, but no nasties visible. Found after circumnavigating the Reserve which I'm proud to say has been made possible by my Environmental Charge! Nice walk up from the jetty, thanks. Nice to meet Mrs Nanks yesterday.

Visiting friends on Russell Island, so just had to find this one. Good spot. Left penny and took puzzle. SL. Thanks for the fun.
I have been very remiss at logging this trackable. It came for a visit to this cache a little while ago.
This was our last cache for the afternoon and with icreams on the line hopefully it would be an easy find. The kids had a great bike ride and the views over Canipa passage were great BUT those mossies.Once the cache was disturbed even with aeroguard on they were hungry suckers. TFTC and a reason to have a great day out touring the bay islands.
Last cache for the day. Part of the group stayed behind (junior geokid couldn't face the bike ride after riding to all the other caches on the islands). Cache easily came to light and so did the mossies. Geohubby stayed to put the cache back whilst the rest of us ran for our skin!!!!
aaaargh!,joint 'first to plunder',with me new crew, aboard ye' black skull ye' scallywags ye' hawmorfords, great spot for a cache and called in on one of ye' favourite bakery of if's for a pie for mornin' lunch, thanks to my new scurvy crew and ye'landlubber ye' nanks for ye' cache.
Today was the day to sail the bay with a real Pirate - how excited Denise and I were !!!
We've had this planned for a couple of months now and have been looking forward to our big day out very much.
Russelling in the Bush was our sixth find of the day aboard the Black Skull.
We had a great walk around the streets of Russell Is. on the way to this cache. We located the cache at about 11:00a.m. and then made our way to the Bakery.... they DO have nice Pies!
Thanks to If for the Bakery tip and thanks to THENANKS for the cache.
PS: Aaaarghhhh - First to Plunder !!!!

Found this one and managed to get our sticker in the log book before the mozzies carried us away. A lovely location on this peaceful and time forgotten island. Thanks THENANKS
