Found it, unfortunately it had been vandalised so the swaps were all over the place and no sign of the log book. The card asking that the cache be respected was still there though!
We reassembled what we could find and hid the case back in the most likely place it would have come from - but thats a guess.
And for the history people just North in Euroa is the next generation memorial to the VC winners.

Great little multi. Didn’t know this memorial was here so thanks for bringing me here Alansee TFTC
**# 20218**. Found with Mrs Roosta on a cool drive down south.
Hardly any muggles around and a quiet place as well.
A quick calc and short stroll to GZ for a quick find.
Thanks for the cache Alansee,

Nice simple multi - like it. Clean up as water the container but now all good and clean
Having grabbed the info for this one some time ago, it was just a matter of making the find. I was almost about to give up and re-check my numbers when I found the sneaky hide.
Thanks Alansee for placing the cache for us to find.

One of the joys of geocaching is the interesting little spots that it takes you to. This is one of those, a little memorial to the men who made the area proud. It remains a memorial to their deedslong after the area has been bipassed.
We collected the information, did the calculations and headed to the final destination - pleased that it was wet and cold and we didn't have to scare off any wrigglies.
We soon located the well hidden container and found cache and contents in good condition. After signing the log we tucked the cache safely away in its neat hide.
Thanks for the cache Alansee and for the insight into a little of the local history.

I wandered in
Found the memorial and wandered around
A memorable place for sure [^]
But ...
... bothered if I could find the cache after half an hour of risking snakebite

A quick and easy find as we cache our way through the area today. Another almost forgotten tribute to some of those genuine heroes who gave so much so that we can live as we do today. We even spotted a peacock in full regalia not far from GZ. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
What a wonderful tribute and one that is too far off the beaten track. Shame! I bet 99% of the population like me would never even know it is here ....thanks to geocaching I now do
Another long weekend....another trip away..this time 1/2 of our team headed to Albury for a weekend of caching with Rapidlywild and Coruze. Day one was spent around Mt Disappointment where we finished up fairly late and headed to the hotel for a good nights rest. Today was also another big one, as we meandered our way back to Albury stopping through the little towns along the way.
Thanks to all the cache owners for the placements and giving us a reason to come and check out another area of this country of ours, apologies for the generic log.
Thanks to Rapidlywild and Coruze for another enjoyable weekend.

A long weekend, what does that mean? Well GEOCACHING of course
Plans were in place to get out this long weekend with one party of the FurfacesLL and head towards Albury. We had organised a weekend of caching with Coruze which included puzzle collections (Albury/Wodonga) and power trail targeting (Mt Disappointment) and what ever little town we can invade along the way.
Alot happened this weekend, lots of caches, lots of laughter, many km's, long days and long nights. We all walked away battered and bruised after this weekend but it was worth it and would do it again in a heart beat lol
We had finished the power trail and surrounds yesterday so today we headed northbound and collected caches and visited a heap of towns too.
Off to do another multi, we have done a couple this weekend which is uncommon for us lol. Information obtained and a quick find at GZ.
Thanks Alansee for the placement of this cache[^]

Heading north to Violet Town today and grabbing the odd cache on the way. I was targeting these two multis and this one was first. Parked right next to the monument and gathered the clues. After a short walk I was at GZ where the cache was quickly found. Thanks to allansee for this one.
Team Omam from the Netherlands has only one aunt left. And as she will have her 100th birthday early February, we decided to join the birthday party. But …., she lives in Sydney Australia! An excellent opportunity for us to explore this continent once again and find Geocaches along the way. We will do a 3.5 weeks trip! At places where we will stay for a few days (Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Darwin), we will organize Meet and Greet events. We will try to find mainly caches with high favorite points, caches from 2000 and 2001, earth caches, webcam caches, virtuals and letter box hybrids.
While driving home from Mt Buffalo to Geelong (via some paddling at Nagambie Lake), I took a short detour here to check out the memorial.
The maths was taken care of, GZ co-ords obtained, and the cache found soon after. It was a little exposed, so I covered it a little better.
Thanks for the cache and for highlighting these local heroes, Alansee.

#1814 This was previously a dnf but today we made light work of it. Not sure how we stuffed it up last time and spent so much time searching for this cache! All is well that ends well. An interesting monument as we discovered the first time around. Geohounds enjoyed a good sniff here. Tftc Alansee.
After visiting Maygars Hill winery, we went along for this cache. Nice memorial. Cache was found quickly. Thnx for the hide.
I need a glass of Maygars Shiraz after looking for this one but I have to settle for a smiley. TFTC. LS
Driving through on way home from camping on the river for weekend, last stop for the day before hitting the gas to get back to Melbourne. Nice spot and love a little bit of history. Thank you to the swap of a deck of playing cards (after sitting by the camp fire in the pouring rain wishing we had a deck in the 4wd. Now we do!!!) Left a pair of sunnies.
Our first multi - cache too so that was fun.

Taking my time to get home from a weekend in Albury. Such a boring drive so I have stopped quite a lot. Saw this on the map and had no excuse not to. Nice and easy. The ground is a minefield of things to trip over, which is how I spotted the cache. Tftc
Stopped by while travelling and this little multi was soon solved and in hand. Its a shame this memorial isn't on a main road anymore so more people would know it's here, its good a cache has been placed here so at least us cachers can appreciate it. Tftc.
TFTC!
Nice little spot.
On our way down to Melbourne to see RedLeader&Fox2 off at the airport....thought we would grab a few caches on the way.
Happy Birthday to RedLeader also!
Found with Shellumbus and RedLeader&Fox2.

A lovely sunny Sunday and Muggle Hubby chose to chauffeur me around the Longwood Locksley are and consequently we stopped at this little spot. The history on these monuments is incredible, how many VC winners in this area is amazing. They surely bred them tough and brave around here. Thanks for bringing us here. The south coordinates were off 11 points, or maybe it has suffered cache creep, but fortunately it was found.
A nice little side tour and wriggly sticks. TFTC

#2811 - 14:50; Day 2 of the great Sol de lune, fitzy_1965 and LuckyL10n road trip from Canberra to Melbourne and return was off to an early start so we could gather the last of the information we needed for the two Great Aussie Icon Hunt multis, which had inspired this trip. The final pieces of information to hand, we collected a few caches around Bulla, then it was off home again along the Hume Highway.
While Sol had logged this cache previously, fitzy and I were keen to drop in to make the find given our mutual interest in Australian VC recipients. Three for the price of one was our reward, so has to be a favorite. After gathering the required information and doing the calculations, we circled in on GZ to make the find. TFTC Alansee

9104 + 1016 = 10120. Found during day 2 of the Windmill run down to Melbourne and back with Sol de Lune and LuckyL10n.
A casual discussion a few months ago led to the planning and execution of this road trip down to Melbourne and back for various Windmill and other caches. After grabbing the last of the required windmill info and some caches around Woodlands we started heading north towards home.
I enjoy doing caches with a VC theme. This was a must stop on the way home today. Gathered the infio and then circled our way to GZ. Signed, returned and we were off to the next one !
Thanks Alansee !! A Favourite Point !!

Suscoe was travelling homewards today and so this was our 7th stop on the southerly journey.
Parked the caravan and knew we would be reversing in a little while.
Read the info and did the required number work. The cache was found quickly.

It's only 140km from home to Seymour but it took us more than 10 hours for the return trip today courtesy of a few caching detours
At some point in our past we've been here but cannot remember why or when. We do remember the monument, though. Info collected and cache found quite easily by following a path through the long green grass.
Thank you for the cache Alansee.

argghh!! We couldn't for the life for us find this one today. We checked, double checked and triple checked our calculations, but once near gz couldn't place our hands on the cache, widened our search just in case but still couldn't come up with the goods. We will return another day. Thanks Alansee for sharing an interesting local story.
This was one of the rare occasions where I stood and pointed whilst Mrs Biggles "fetched". Somehow I think this arrangement will continue to be a rare occasion as I am usually the nominated "gofer".

No sign of the men but the cache was to be found. Apparently, some of us need to go back to math class though. TFTC
I called in to this one today to find the cache right where PaulBrendaMc had left it and quite close to GZ. The original hiding place had completely disappeared over the seven years since this cache was placed. I have put a new cache in a nearby hide and changed the simple calculations accordingly.
No luck for me today, and unless the last 2 finders both had the numbers worng,
I think it must be gone. There is signs that the location has been disturbed.

8/1/14, 13.00. A nice spot, the cicadas were very loud. Someone has been cleaning up with a bulldozer! Container was cracked and in plain view on top of churned up soil and wood. We replaced it behind a pine tree, owner may wish to rehide.
Don't know what happened to us here. An outstanding memorial, but once at GZ nothing was found. Maybe gone? May need someone else to check. Great place though.
Not one to celebrate caches about war but this was a nice one. Quick breakfast stop on my way back to Melbourne for a day. Now to dry my feet off. Tftc tnln no sign of listed trackable in it.
We set off with no real plan or agenda other than a visit to Seymour. The rest was a great day of caching fun with my caching mate Slink1 Thank you to all cache owners along our route with out whom none of this would have been possible. TFTC SL

Following a surprise visit to my sister's place in Wangaratta to deliver slightly late Christmas presents and enjoy a cuppa, the kids and I plotted our trip home. Hmmm... there are a few convenient caches between here and Melbourne...
We left Wangaratta via a memorial to those who sacrificed their lives for us in Vietnam, and our last cache heading down the freeway is a tribute to these men, who risked everything for their comrades in the Boer War and the First World War.
Thanks, Alansee, for bringing us to this monument, and for a nice simple multi to finish the day.

Sorry Alansee for the generic log but I'm trying to catch up on my logging, I currently have over 1000 to log before hitting some powertrails in the US after the block party next week. As always I enjoy the hunt whether I'm solo or with some of my caching or muggle friends. Thanks to those who have accompanied me to make the day more pleasurable and many thanks Alansee for placing this cache.

#284 for us, found by juc snr today at around 14:45 or so
Back up in the north-east for another battle in the war on weeds (Tobacco Tree this time...see attached pic), I was driven home early by a wet morning (no spraying) and the need to pick up juc_jr#1 in Melbourne at 4:30pm.
Having a little time, I decided a cache was in order and I had been hoping to do this one for AGES ! It's annoying how every time I come up this way, we're in a hurry to get there, or to get home again. Anyway, today was the day !
Pulled off the highway to the monument, grabbed the clues and made the quick find. No sign of the trackable.
Thanks for the cache and for the history lesson Alansee. It's interesting how many of these monuments there are so far off the beaten track that you'd never go to if not for caching..wonder who else goes there except cachers, but they're obviously loved around here, unlike some you see. We have a cache near Euroa that is the same...A monument way off the beaten track, but very well tended !
It seems I wasn't the only visitor here today too !

Find # 1553
Today was day one of a massive adventure weekend caching in the Albury Wadonga region as well as incorporating the OZ Mega event. I would be spending most of my time with Team Kwokka (Brother and Sister in Law) as well as my caching mate and partner in crime, SedgwickDave
We were to meet in Dave in Albury later that day, so we started our caching adventure in Yea and made our way towards Wadonga. We initially parked a short walk away from the start point and eventually found our way. A nice simple multi, but took a while to find the hide once at GZ. Did find it in the end and signed the log.
Thanks to Alansee for the cache. TNLN.

Found this cache today with Irontoad. Thanks a lot for bringing us here as we wouldn't have known that this was here if it weren't for geocaching. Took nothing, left nothing and signed the log. Thanks a lot for bringing us to a very interesting place Alansee and for the cache.
A nice quick multi, and a nice monument, to boot. It's amazing to think of how many times I've driven past here, never stopping or discovering what's hidden behind the trees. This is what geocaching is about TFTC.
Been up and down this highway so many times but never knew this memorial was here. Thanks for fixing that! I'm a sucker for cairns, love the history. Brave men deserve recognition.
The container had fallen out of its hiding spot and was laying in the open as we walked up. Maybe a rabbit disturbed it as there was some dirt scraping evident. Took nothing, left a CITO kit and rehid it well. TFTC!

A nice simple Multi to honour some of the most important men in Australian history.
Great easy hide!

took my 10yo brother along for the ride and the little bugger had cache in hand in about 10 seconds of getting to GZ.

Nice easy cache to find, we where muggled out by a concerned famer with some rather scary dogs who were called off as they where about to attack, explained to farmer about geocaching and he told me about some problems he has been having with people vandalising the area looking for bottles. Farmer was nice once caching explained.
