It doesn’t look good for this cache.
We checked both sides of the outlet thoroughly. It appears to be gone. ️
Seriously we don’t give up easily.

4/7/20 330pm Crawled along the right side of creek and looks like a lot of timber has buried cache location. Reference photo
The stench of effluent was overwhelming and could not see a way to get across it safely. A bit shocked actually as it’s flowing directly into the sea.
A quick find on the way back to the airport. It’s caches like these that are picturesque and hidden from tourist traffic that I love. TFTC!
Found by Team Stone on our family holiday from Perth. Pen doesn’t work though. TFTC
Found during the 13th Australian Peptide Conference.

Enjoyed caching around Port Douglas with husband and two geoteenagers. Yet again, we were taken to beautiful and interesting places around the town. Love them all!
I think some muggles we’re having a look at us suspiciously but they moved on. Hint helped here.

After finding a nearby cache,
I strolled the path to reach this cache,
because the path looked like it was headed the right way

A read of the instructions proved helpful !!
And after some backtracking,

Hired bikes for half a day from the place at which we’re currently staying in Port Douglas and headed north up Four Mile Beach. Notched up five caches by the end of our expedition. Made hard work of locating this one. Went a little further into the trees than I needed to, when the cache was readily accessible all along! #2635. TFTC.

Greetings from Wellington, NZ.
Yesterday was brilliant as we went snorkling on the Great Barrier Reef, but also horrible as we got a bit seasick on our way home.
So today we aimed for a more relaxed day, and got bikes from the hotel and went for a bike trip.
The last cache for today, and also the last cache in Port Douglas for me.
A family had invaded the beach furthest away from the sea, close to the cache location.
The kids were too busy constructing stuff from the sand so I could walk passed them without them taking any notice of me.
The cache was found with ease once I arrived at the location.
Thanks for the cache!

TFTC. A nice quick find after I used my coconut to cross the river. I’m short and decided not to take my shoes off. Found a coconut out it in the middle of the river and used it as a stepping stone. Thanks for bringing me here. We are staying at the Ramada before heading up to the cape. I’m from the Hunter Valley.
Nice spot, and the creek was not too high, so a quick grab.
Thanks for this Cache say Moorhelmi from Germany.

Got really lucky with the tide. Easy find on a weekend getaway. Picked up a TB, dropped off a thong. TFTC
Out for a walk this morning avoiding golf balls, Bush turkeys, lizards and the occasional croc! (Ok no actual crocs were seen except on the feet of 65yo men.) no need for wading here even though the tide was high, dropped a TB I grabbed off the table at the Mega in Melbourne last week. Thanks
Was freaking out and totally ready to bail on this one when a last minute blast of inspiration had it in hand. Very glad to avoid wading at low tide. Picked up the TB to continue its journey. TFTC.
Came by here yesterday but was a little afraid to make the find. So wary of crocodiles. Today geohusband was with me. Glad I didn’t have to wade in the water. Dropped off a TB. TFTC
Accidentally logged this one instead of “Down to the beach we go” Have found this with Cache.In.Hand.FNQ. Placed a small dinosaur found from another Cache
On a little ride up the beach, we stopped by this one. Without thinking, I rushed in, but thankfully found the cache in the first place I looked. Returning to Mrs sog12, she told me I was foolhardy...and I guess she was right as I should have been more wary.
Thanks for the cache, filmnorth.

Found with Polargirl. She did the searching while (similarly to a recent finder) I was on the lookout for unwanted local wildlife. Cache was found and signed safely.
I’m really happy to have found this scary one. I don’t think there’s any crocodile here, but I look around at every noises while searching !

Up from the cold south to share a bit of the tropical sunshine. Fresh air, sun, a good walk and caches - what more could one want? Not much wading required today. cache found in good condition, thanks.
Good quick find. Just go at low tide and it is very easy. Right next to where I thought it would be!! Cheers
Wasn't game to cross the creek after locals told us of a croc nearby. Will wait until low tide and the help of a croc lookout!
After an unsuccessful search for Under a Rock this morning this was the only other cache in the area on this last day in this beautiful place, so after returning to the hotel from our trip to Mossman Gorge and the Daintree I came down to the beach and walked along to this cache.
Once near GZ I wasn't so sure I should be wading up to this cache, even though it was low tide, after hearing the talks this morning and seeing the reptiles in spots a bit like this, and being as I was alone but I did it and once back on land the cache was an easy find. Of course I then had to wade back!
Now that I have been to the Wildlife Habitat this morning and heard the talks there, I'm certain I shouldn't have been in that water!

Well....I was going to treat myself to lunch after this.....but now I reckon I deserve a beer as well.
Of course, I’m dressed in my best safety thongs....I was hoping like mad the huge nest mound I came across was that of an orange footed scrub fowl and not a snarling mother croc....so bashing my way through the scrub and see a likely geospot 8m out from GZ. Thank god....cos I’m not sure I can do another 8m....log signed, turn to investigate the bubbles I see rising from the creek below and there’s a damn muggle standing there wondering what the hell an old lady is doing up there....lucky I could pass it off as croc spotting and he being a tourist was then pretty keen to hastily depart. I’m off for a big pint!!! TFTC - a beauty!!

On holiday from Melbourne and staying in Port Douglas. This was one of a group of three caches that made for a pleasant walk combined with some beach combing. Thank you for this cache.
During our trip through Australia, we also visited the beach of Port Douglas.

Our time in FNQ is drawing to an end. So we decided to do some full on caching and left the caravan in Walkamin whilst we head out to explore Port Douglas and Cairns.
Possibly one of our biggest caching days this year with 34 finds from 38 attempts.
Nice sunny day for beach visiting although a touch warm and humid. But a great day none the less.

I finally found my way in here and started my search. Despite the hint , I started on the wrong side (after all, from which way did you come in to GZ [?]) but the 'croc paranoia' soon moved me to the correct side not long after which I was finally signing the log at 13:15.

We tried a few days ago but we did not want to get our feet wet. The tide was further out today and the water in the creek was lower. The GPSr put us on the other side but our geosense kicked in and the cache was found at 12:45 well above the high tide mark and our feet got only teensy wet. Thanks filmnorth
After a tough bike ride along the beach against a strong wind, the GC was found thankfully without any wading ! Thanks for the cache
Beautiful spot for our first QLD find. A little nervous about the creepy crawlies but we got it. TFTC
Nice hide. Lifeguards came and told us off. Crocs in the area. Put cache back as found after signing.
Day seven up north and we are going caching at Port Douglas area!
Mrs RoddyC took note of the hint and after a bit of tree/bush bashing g arrived at GZ. No wet feet today!
Log signed and replaced. Found at 3.35pm on on 5th June 2017. TFTC, filmnorth.

Loved the Port so much on a short visit last year, the wife and I decided to come back for a longer stay and I was looking forward to checking off some caches I missed. Disaster struck when my old faithful Garmin Oregon died whilst snorkeling out on the reef. Water didn't get in it just shutdown after taking a picture and would not restart. Lost everything as the SD card was corrupted as well. So plan B, loaded a Geocache app onto my old galaxy y duos "dumb" phone and spent the day trying to download an offline map that would work with the extremely limited phone memory. Finally late last night I managed to get it all working without being online. This morning straight after breakfast I kissed the wife goodbye and went for a stroll along the beach. The tide was still coming in when I arrived at the creek but it was still negotiable. I was amazed the old phone took me straight to GZ and I soon had the cache in hand and signed the log. We are up this way for a couple of weeks and to be without my GPS for that long would be tragic. This is the first opportunity I had to go Geocaching for a long time, so this cache is my first for the year and its the first find for the phone. TFTC
Having a morning in Port looking around and found this cache. Just managed to get there without getting wet feet at low tide. Thanks for the cache.
Had a swim at the north end of the beach within the nets. Time to head to this cache close to our accommodation. Pity can't swim here this time of the year. It was low tide so was only a hop skip and jump to the designated area. Cache all dry despite the recent rain. Thanks Filmnorth for the cache and bringing me to this end of 4 mile beach
Nice cache but I arrived with a bit of trepidation. Crocks??? Thank goodness NO. Here on vacation for a couple of months in beautiful Australia with HennyGeo. Greetings from Vancouver Island, Canada TFTC
Went wading as the clue suggested, but couldn't see it must admit wasn't looking to hard but was keeping an eye out for croc's!!! In the end bottled it and did a runner.
On a 3 hours 15 minutes walk from the camper van park Pandanus, the 4 miles beach and back, we picked up 6 geocaches:
GC3Y3AM: Spooky White Gum. Open in the air, to be seen from 10 meters distance.
GC5YGQC: Under a rock. Took some time to find, as not on spot indicated by my GPS.
GC3RB31: Run away. Yes run away, not from the crocks, but from the small little buggers in the grass, the ants byte like hell. Log is full, put somewhere NL on the peace of paper.
GC6686M: 4 mile beach. My wife found it in 10 seconds, so no problem.
GC105K5: Beachin. Nice hide, we were lucky with the low tide. No wet feet.
GC3QZHM: Muddy Inlet. This one needs maintenance as the water destroyed the log. Easy to find.
