**#19845**Got the final coords worked out while doing a nearby AdLab, once that was done the next trick was going to be getting to GZ, found a somewhat dodgy and little bit of a clamber way to it, only to find the easiest way back to the van, it didnt help that it was already dark oclock!
Having stopped to pick up a lab cache point not to far away, I headed here to grab this cache to.It was a wee bit of a scramble to get at, but I eventually had the cache in hand. Thanks for setting this up
The wonderful thing about the days being much longer, and the weather being milder (although even being 70% of the way though Spring,we still get the odd setback!) is that you can go out caching after work. So when Yeti asked a couple of days ago if anyone else wanted to join him for a stroll along the Plimmerton coastline I jumped at the chance. Also coming along were TrinityNZ and the Seagnoid. There were a few other caches I wanted to get whilst I was here, and naturally I took a look at this one to see if I could solve it in anticipation of tonight. Thanks to both Google street view and Flopps Map (which I love using for stuff like this) the solve was nice and straightforward. Getting to GZ however was anything but straightforward, insofar as I think we made a far bigger deal of it than was necessary (as we found out when most of the way up) but no mishaps on the way which was good. Once there, it didn't take long for the Seagnoid to find the Hint object, and then for me to find the cache itself.3 of us wanted to claim this cache tonight, so those names got added to the log before the whole lot was replaced as found. Thanks for bringing us here tonight Gets a FP from me for the idea of the puzzle.
Ytei wanted to find the Plimmerton Parade cache, se all came along to help him hunt. Found all the waypoints (including too many seats and not enough Miss Piggies) but no cache. After that we took the hard way up here to collect this cache. Found the better route back down, which I have now marked on the maps. (Note that the Geocaching App uses their own cache of map tiles and it can be some time between their updates)
Id solved this one a few months ago, although on rereading my notes tonight, I see I asked a previous finder for confirmation of the final coordinates. Mine were oh so slightly out. In the area tonight, we headed up the hard way! TwigNZ located the cache after a bit of looking. What a lovely spot with an interesting surprise. Going down was a lot easier as we managed to find the actual path. Thanks for the cache!
A great puzzle I really enjoyed this puzzle very well set up and its lasted the test of time. Took a little searching at GZ to find the cache tucked away. Thanks to the CO nice view from GZ.
Down here on our way to the South Island. Camping nearby before catching the ferry tomorrow. Rain started so what to do but start solving. Donned the wet weather gear and started with the two ad labs. Eventually everything fell into place and I headed to GZ. Mmmm I took a while and nearly gave up thinking that I must have worked it out wrong as there was no checker. I then slipped and got saturated and muddy. After some expletives thought Im outta here, but no. Had to try one more time and wouldnt you know it. Wullah!!! Many thanks for the adventure.
The gathering of numbers was smooth and had no problem.
The clues induced something familiar and decided to get the familiar and use it as an overlay, resulting in a location approximation.
I figured this would be enough, and I would just search from there.
After 4 failed attempts to find it this way, I knew I had to go back to the drawing board and refine the location.
It wasn't until recently that I had learned projecting coordinates and knew immediately that this is what I needed to complete the rest of this mystery.
One of the hints was really useful for this part. Coupled with what I had learned, I applied it.
With a complete coordinate that was within the scope of the overlay, I knew this had to be it. And it was
So, I loved this mystery and have added an FP.
Cheers.
Sleepy was here!

A bit of general knowledge soon found the theme of this cache, and the correct tool meant that I was able to resolve the final before leaving home. A short scramble led me to GZ, where I was surprised to find a previously unsuspected landmark. File away for future use. The cache itself required a bit of a hunt, but found in the end. The old adage 'the simplest way is often the best' springs to mind. All good in the container, log quite dry. An FP for an innovative puzzle. Tftc!
Headed out with barefootguru to mop up some caches on a beautiful spring day. We visited all the waypoints and then BFG left me to work out the final. It took a moment for me to twig as to the theme of the cache and then deduce how to find the final. BFG gave me the final coordinates in the interests of getting this done, and I've now worked them out at home. He also needed to nudge me to the right location to locate the cache. TFTC obblue and agcnz!
Out and about with Flowerydaze clearing up some old puzzles and enjoying the pleasant weather. Enjoyed the views after logging this cache. We were defeated originally by the suggested path to this one but this time we tried another approach and were rewarded. TFTC obblue and agcnz.
Talla64 and I visited all the waypoints early in 2020 and went home to Kapiti to work it all out. We soon had some useful co-ordinates and when next in the area tried to reach GZ using the route suggested on the cache page. We soon realised this was not a good idea for us two and I put the solved puzzle on one side. Today we tried a different route and Talla had the cache in hand in no time. A most interesting puzzle - thanks obblue for this clever puzzle and thanks agcnz for maintaining the cache. Well worth a FP.
Found with youngest son on our way home from Wellington today, we stopped in at Plimmerton to have a bite to eat, a play at the park and to do some rock pool exploring. I'd visited the waypoints a while back and figured out the very clever puzzle but the proximity to houses was putting me off searching for the cache alone so I figured school holidays would be a good time to visit GZ. We looked in a couple of wrong spots before he spotted an item that definitely matched the hint better than our first spots did. A little tricky to get to but all good. The logbook is damp but signable. Thanks very much for the puzzle and TFTC
#8133. I must have looked at this puzzle previously and decided I needed to visit the various waypoints which is why I have not attempted it until yesterday. However last night I tried a different method using some online tools to do a virtual tour. After I had completed the tour I thought what next next. Did a bit of googling and saw something that made me realise I could do this puzzle entirely from home. Used another tool and soon had a place that looked very promising. Today I was over in Plimmerton doing some bird watching so decided to scramble up to the GZ. It was not bone dry so had to tread very carefully. Great view at GZ but there was a muggle in a house looking directly at me. Managed to get out their gaze and soon saw an object of interest. It didn't take too long to locate the nicely concealed cache. The logbook is slightly damp but still easy enough to sign. Replaced everything as found. Thanks obblue for a nicely constructed puzzle based around a distinctive theme and to agcnz for maintaining the cache. I did find a slightly easier route back down hill to the road.
After solving the clues I had MightyMicra take a look but we still could not work out why we should go to where we eventually found the cache. I've now worked it out after the event and it all makes sense now. TFTC.
Found this one with RedEcho. Hint all made sense when I was at GZ. Thanks for the cache.
Wow!! Cool cache. I had looked at this cache a year ago when we were here last, but we ran out if time. This evening I was determined to try to find this. I figured out the theme and proceeded to get the waypoints and information. At the last waypoint, I couldn't quite understand what was required to get the final coordinates. I could see what was missing but didn't quite know how to calculate the information. We decided to go on a hunch and clambered up to a likely spot. What a surprise and such a random spot. The hint item was soon found and cache signed. We walked back to our motor home to figure out the correct way to determine the coordinates. So much easier than standing on the side of the road- or in my case sitting in the gutter working things out. What a fantastic cache and location . Thanks for the cache and maintenance of blue and agcnz
I was sure citius, Altius, Fortius, after conquering this baby ...reading the prolog of the cache ...time was indicated as an hour ...maybe ...yeh right maybe for a wizard ...I looked at this after my evening meal, it was still light and an hour or so before sunset ....we’ll talk about circles around and round and round I went ...I guess a tad of local knowledge would have been an advantage ...but never the less I wasn’t giving up ...after getting to the final way point, I was still none the wiser ...but aided with some geo sense, help from KL and an awesome hint ...we sort of guessed a likely GZ spot ...sure glad it wasn’t raining could of been a challenge.....we hovered around again...yes those ️ circles again ....I spotted one very likely spot but nah ....looks like it been checked many times ha ha ....light failing fast and nearly ready to pull the pin when a very likely suspect was seen amongst the natural camo ...a quick sniff around and yes ...you bloody bute.....a nice container neatly hidden ....I sign the log ..it’s a tad damp ...cleaned the debris from the sealing ring as best possible ...this may help keep it a bit drier..I hate not knowing exactly what the real answer to the solve is ....so back to the motor home and out with the iPad ....using a few programs that I have I immediately spotted how to solve ...amazing everything added up ...brilliant cache, well thought out and in the end very enjoyable thanks CO awesome cache well done an easy FP
Heading south to pick up some Wellington caches so stopped on the way
Clever puzzle, and beautiful spot at GZ.
Clever puzzle, and beautiful spot at GZ.
I'm a bit mystified about why I've never attempted this puzzle before. The title certainly looks familiar but the puzzle does not. It was just yesterday when I had a look at it and soon ended up with a set of information to play with. When I looked at it the right way it was suddenly very clear what was going on. Very nicely done! I extracted some coords which were somewhere I hadn't been before and I wondered for a bit how to get there.
Today I arrived in the general area and quickly found an unexpected and rather surprising route that got me very close to GZ. I'd arrived at a very nice and again surprising location having followed the advice in the description but surely that's not the intended public access. I did see a more friendly path going somewhere but I didn't follow it to see where it went. That path I took would certainly be very "interesting" in the wet which was not a problem today as it was bone dry. I checked the hint at this point and found an "optimistic" candidate along a path but no cache. But wait, there's another hidden over there. Also no cache. But I was also not very close to the calculated coords. So I worked my way closer then finally spotted an unmistakable hint object. There was the cache.
I had no problem signing the log even if it's a bit damp and most of the entries are now unreadable. I had a spare log with me just in case but I didn't use it. The log is serviceable enough until the CO pays a visit.
I really like this kind of puzzle and reminds me of one of my all time favourite puzzles. +FP for that and for the location. TFTC.

Now this was one I got *most* of the information a couple of years back, but I couldn't make the connection for a long while. About a year back, I looked at it again, and things began to make a strange sort of sense, and then I had the answer!
However, one thing or another kept me from heading out this way . Today, it was too windy for a walk on the tops, so I decided to head out and finally add this one to the found list. Glad it hadn't been raining, the path would be fairly slippy in the wet! What an unexpected spot, and yes, I was glad the neighbours appeared to be out. Found after a short search, TFTC.

Nicely done - gets an FP from us, for the puzzle and the location of the final.
We're staying nearby for a couple of weeks, and I visited the various waypoints over a couple of walks with the dog. Last night I sat down and looked at the puzzle and determined a likely spot on the map, and this morning Miss Two and I took the dog to find it. Great spot, which I'm pleased to have visited thank you!

In plimmerton after the mega and had ago at trying to solve a few of the puzzle's in the area most with some success and this was one of them, so after a bit of chasing our tail we headed off to ground zero.
We soon located the right path to ground zero, and was pleased that nobody was home nearby.
It was not long before the cache and logbook were in hand and like others the logbook was very damp and mr biro was not liking the wet paper too well.
I have taken a photo of proof if there is any doubt.
Thanks for the puzzle and the smiley, FP awarded.

We solved this puzzle in preparation for our trip to Wellington Mega. We were able to visit the waypoints from afar, and soon figured out what was required to get the coordinates.
Today we are on the second leg of our journey to the WENZ Mega, and are stopping off along the way to collect solved puzzles. We had the right idea about access to the final of this puzzle, but missed the right path. We then decided to approach from the other side, and found ourselves at GZ, but on the 'wrong' side. A short scramble later and we began the search at the obvious spot. It took a few anxious minutes before we spotted the hiding place. Glad we were able to sign off on this one. TFTC

A fun puzzle, solved from the comfort of Google earth. Took a while to find the right way to the GZ, and as others have said the log book is not in great shape. Managed to leave a barely legible mark. TFTC
Clever puzzle and everything tied together neatly. Found cache after short search and approaching from difficult side. Logbook soaked, only just managed sig with indomitable Swiss Army pen. Cheers agcnz!
An interesting little puzzle thanks and an even more intriguing place at the final A secluded grave on a little hill top with its own special view out to sea Great and definitely a favourite The cache container was totally dry but the log book is sodden to the point where it is essentially not usable Needs some urgent care please TFTP&TC
Was looking at caches in the area that I hadnt done and noticed this was lonely (always a challenge). Had previously had a superficial look at it without sucess. Started looking at the puzzle and noticed Bruzie had solved remotely so started to do the same. Worked out the 4 points and didnt click immediately to the final. A bit of googling and a bit of thought and an ah-ha moment. Still a bit of work but a viable location. Came along two days ago but it looked a bit daunting (wrong shoes). Reviewed a few more logs and maps back today up an easier way up. Still had to avoid muggles and thank goodness a fairly easy find at GZ. Log very wet but container not so bad. Worth a Fav as a great puzzle and good view from near GZ. TFTC
Did some of the preliminary work a few days ago and came up with sensible coordinates. Today stunning day so out for an afternoon walk and after a bit of an explore cache was in hand. Nicely designed puzzle. thanks for the cache.
I solved this a while back remotely. It took a while before I clicked onto the nature of the puzzle, but when I did I was able to calculate the coordinates which looked good, although I was a tad confused between the satellite view and the final instructions.
I had previously attempted to grab this but on that occasion there was a muggle seated outside in direct view of the GZ so passed on for another time. This afternoon it was more of "while we were in the neighbourhood" as the geokids needed to use the nearby facilities after a fish & chip meal overlooking the water. Nobody in sight this time so I set to work trying to locate the cache from the hint alone as I had left my more accurate GPS unit in the car. I looked over several hint objects before finding the largest and with a bit of minor gymnastics was able to pick up the cache. I grabbed the trackable that had been in there for a while to move on. I thought the puzzle was very clever and satisfying to solve.
A quick find at the final this morning where I dropped in a travelbug and enjoyed the views for a while.
Thanks very much for the cache. A favourite for sure.

Mum (CoopsNZ) solved the puzzle while RubyDragonNZ and I were doing an archery class. She was very excited to get to the final cache and it was a quick find. TFTC!
#322. Up in Mana as my daughters were doing an archery course at the park. I was a spectator last week, but this week I decided to have a walk myself, and see if there were some local caches I could find. I had looked at this cache previously and only got to Waypoint 2 before abandoning. This time I had the time to persevere. After completing the tour of Plimmerton to get the 4 waypoints, I thought I would have to take it home to solve and complete another day. But then I had that "a-ha" moment and excitedly dragged the girls to the vicinity of the final. A quick search, and yippee, cache in hand! A qualifying cache for my first 2015 road trip souvenir, with 10 fav points. Tftc - very clever!
An interesting spot that I did not know was here. Great views and would be interested to learn more of its history. TFTC
Solved this a few months ago but thought now was an apt time to sign off the final. Wet clay soil under foot made for an interesting crablike descent after quickly finding the cache and admiring the view, albeit on a drizzly grey summer day. TFTP FPt awarded.

Wasn't sure whether this was a field puzzle but thought I'd see how far I could get at home. Very clever. As I "flew" to each WP things fell into place. Really enjoyed the originality. The suggested path to the final was pretty heart stopping and we were ready to trespass to avoid having to return the same route when a view of the tennis club and their public steps had us much more safely down only 200m from where we had originally left the road. Earns a fav from us. PINO TFTC
Thought we had better get onto solving some of these local puzzles. Today was cold, but a nice day for a walk. Loved the final location, and especially the local item of interest nearby. TFTC
Really enjoyeddoing this will put together cache, took me a while to locate the final TFTC obblue
Had a nice evening caching around Plimmerton.
Had found all the waypoints, but hadn't 'solved' this, when we came across an area that looked suspiciously like the hint.
A short search turned up the cache.

Inspired by recent current affairs, I finally twigged as to the nature of this puzzle ... As it turns out JardislikeTardis had come to the same conclusion, going so far as to work out a likely location online. Having had her workings confirmed by a local, we couldn't pass up the chance to log it ourselves while in the area. Thankfully she was game to tackle the terrain - T2 hah! - while I coached from below.
I solved the puzzle online a few months ago during an all-out assault on the puzzles in the Mana-Plimmerton-Whitby area. I really enjoyed this puzzle, and was pleased with myself when I cottoned on to the way to solve it. I thoroughly enjoyed traversing the streets of Plimmerton with streetview, but I was totally charmed by the real thing when kjwx and I stopped by this evening. It's been several years since I've been out this way, and the atmosphere at 6pm on a fine evening was delightful. Google earth didn't prepare either of us for the terrain at GZ. We were relieved that the ground had dried out after the recent rain, as I imagine it would have been slippery otherwise. Turns out there were several hint objects to inspect, each more giant than the previous. Finally located the cache and had to cope with my arachnophobia to extract. Nice hide! Thanks for the challenging and enjoyable puzzle, and for bringing me to this lovely secret place. TFTC
Cache #736 - did the running around to the waypoints a few weeks back. By WP2 we knew exactly where the whole puzzle was going, but went home to put the pieces together anyway. Great concept, well-executed. Final GZ was a fascinating place, so thanks for bringing us there. Certainly worth a favourite! Did with Violet Butterfly. TNLNSL.
Did this with Wandering Dragons. Enjoyed the various locations, had a great time with some dogs, and liked the final spot. Swapped a couple of trinkets. TFTC!

#424 very nice spot up here. Had many visits to the park with the kids, with kai from the local chippie.
I circled the giant twice as well, and was about to give up my night foray as I spotted something.
Cache safe and well.

Started this puzzle a little while ago while the youngster was doing some pre-season football training in the park. No problem with any of the waypoints and gathering the relative information. But then what? Confused headed back to the park. On the way stopped in at a location and had a look without much hope. (Should have been more diligent in the looking!!)
Back in the area today decided to have another go after reading the past logs. Had a suspicion I had been in the right place last time. After circling the giants footprint (twice), the hiding spot was revealed - oh very clever, and the cache retrieved. Log signed it was back to its hidey hole.
I still haven't worked out the puzzle to get the coordinates, although aspects of the cache listing sort of make sense, I think. (As a consequence the GPS didn't even come out of the pocket.) I'll chalk this one up to luck. TFTC
(Cache and log book in good condition despite not having been located for awhile.)

Find #1107. We had been staring at some of these mystery caches around Tawa/Porirua/Linden/Plimmerton/Pukerua Bay for months now, most of them too difficult for us to decipher, these little blue question marks just sitting there, staring us blankly in the face on the Geocaching Map, silently mocking us. However, we decided instead of putting a minimal, nonchalance effort into a whole bunch of caches simultaneously - we would focus a concerted effort on a single puzzle in an attempt to solve it. Apparently, it worked.
Although we understood the meanings of the hint and title of the cache - we didn't have any idea how they related when we ventured out to attempt to solve this puzzle, which was timed perfectly on a nice late afternoon at 1900 hours with Fish & Chips (which we enjoyed after the solve). We were able to guess the rough location of hint three, as we had visited it before, but we decided to solve the puzzle anyway for the fun of it - and we didn't understand the connection of the final with the waypoints at the time. We had been around this area before to solve some of the other caches, such as 'Boot Camp' (which we completed by bike) and 'Plimmerton Parade', so we had a good handle on the layout of the area.
So we started driving round, collecting waypoints and their related colours and numbers for the next waypoint by vehicle. It didn't take us long and we were able to locate all the required objects with minimal effort - for a few we didn't even have to leave the comforting warmth of the car (it was windy outside). We soon arrived at the last published waypoint. The color above us? Check. We had all the information we apparently needed to solve this. And yet the final remained a mystery.
We investigated the layout of the waypoints on the map. Hmm. The answer still eluded us. What could it be. Let's check the hints. What's an 'aura'? A quick Google search from the iPhone, and it sounded as if we needed an Ouija Board ! But we soon found a much more mathematically and scientifically sound answer which fitted quite nicely. Ahh. What does the title mean again? Ahh - the plot thickened, we were on to something!
A little bit subtraction/addition and transposing of coordinates and we soon came up with what we thought was a sound answer. Let's input those coordinates into the GPS... Success! It perfectly matched hint 3! We ordered some fish and chips nearby, and then did some minor ascending to arrive at the final. No one else about? Check. Our search began, and in about 30 seconds we got it. Fantastic.
The first find for this cache in 2012 - a very well set up cache, obblue, only our second find on the seven remaining caches you own - we love these types of caches. A great view from the final location, we did actually wonder why there wasn't a cache here initially (and now we know). A few minutes later our reward of Fish & Chips was in hand. It took us roughly an hour as quoted in the description, and it is certainly worth a favourite point. Thanks for an enjoyable cache. SL TFTC! [^]

Did an armchair solve earlier in the year and was pleased to find that my calculations/educated guesses turned out right.
Would never have found this place otherwise, very tucked away (a local told us how to access when we tried from the wrong direction). An interesting puzzle and an interesting GZ.

#2517. It was a bit of effort just to get to GZ. We were a bit worried that Troodles coords were not good, but the hint indicated in the right spot, and the cache was soon located. Very interesting little area, with great views. TFTC.
Had fun solving this one. Not been to this bit of Plimmerton before - nice views today, calm before the storm? Well hidden cache. Took bullet (?) left tealight and paua button. TFTC!
I had solved this a few weeks back but didn't have time to attempt the final so returned today to complete the paperwork. A very well laid out and enjoyable puzzle.

Introduced my sister who is visiting from Savannah, USA to Geocaching today. We all had great fun solving this one. One of the best puzzles we have ever done. TFTC.
Great cache. Went to GZ after day of heavy rain and the track was a bit scary. A bit of Plimmerton that I never knew existed. TFTC
A very clever puzzle cache, nicely constructed and wonderfully themed. GZ is a fascinating spot for a cache and another place I'd never know existed if not for geocaching! TFTC
I don't think I have enjoyed a cache search as much as this one. It certainly had my brain ticking over the whole time with thoughts such as "I wonder why ...?" and "isn't it strange that ...?" I visited the waypoints last week and acquired the required information. I then had a think about it and tested something when I got home. My result seemed to make sense so I was back again tonight and soon had the treasure in my possession.
Those that have fluked this find have actually missed out on something special; I suggest they start over to see if they can understand the secret of this puzzzle.
I am awarding this cache one of my favourites. If this category was further broken down into gold, silver and bronze categories, I would certainly award it a gold. A great deal of thought and effort has obviously gone into it's preparation. TVMFTC.

Started it last week, but weather and dogs being naughty stopped us, finally found it after a local pointed us in the right direction!!
Challenging!!

This one has to be well up the list of the better caches I have done. Very well conceived and designed puzzle, I bet it took a lot of work getting all the waypoints sorted so that everything would come together. I came here several weeks ago and gathered the waypoint data and then last evening I had a close look at the puzzle. In one of those flashes of inspiration that happen far too infrequently I realised quite quickly what the puzzle was about and what the solution would be. Went there today and everything was exactly as expected, and the cache was found after only a few minutes' searching. Had no idea this viewpoint existed! Signed log, TFTC!
Started this one about 4 months ago. Got WP2 done and ran out of time. Finished today and found with hint. Nice hidden area. SL TFTC
Came here a few weeks ago and got all the required info but ran short of time to give GZ a good search. Returned last Saturday but had no joy; coincidentally a log came through from gonefishing a couple of days later, so a quick check with him confirmed I was looking in the correct spot. Went back this morning and managed to complete the paperwork on this well constructed cache. Have left new log book, pencil & sharpener given the cache owner doesn't seem to be around at the moment. It was a beaut morning to be at GZ, another great spot in our region. TFTC
Finally got around to knocking this one off today. An enjoyable puzzle to sort out. It's been a long time since this was found, and all I found at GZ was an empty cache container. The log book etc has obviously gone AWOL in the last 6 months or so.
Didn't have a replacement logbook on me, but I'll try to get back soon to put a replacement in. Took a photo of the container - happy to send it to the owner to verify the find.

Found as part of my three week caching trip from Wellington to Auckland - # 343. Found this almost by mistake when in the area. Spotted a 'ladies' with a track - went for a look and found the cache pretty much out in the open. Replaced it where I think it was ment to be.Thanks.
Having helped Bkj97 to find many of his caches since May 2009 I thought it was time that Bcj97 (previous name) should evolve and register my finds to date as Little Blue Hen. Nice day out with friends and lots of coffee and cake.TFTC
Checked out puzzle while eating cake and supping coffee.Richarg and Paula led the charge to GZ.leaving Bcj97 in their wake.Unanimous vote to use car for warmth rather than feet. TFTC SL LS
Im admitting we have been here twice..and this is exactly where we looked...and today it just happened to jump out!!!!!

Had an inkling where the facilities mentioned in the description were so I went a looking armed with the hint. Found after a search of about 15 minutes. Nice hide. The puzzle looked like fun. Sea looked a bit rough for kayaking, plenty of sheep in the paddock today. TNLN SL TFTC
#376. We had an inkling of what the puzzle was related to, but had no firm idea of the actual problem or solution. So we pressed on to find all the waypoints. We spied one of the clues in the description and followed it. The search was initially inconclusive since there were still no coordinates for the final. A second attempt using the hints and from another approach finally located the well camo'ed cache.

Started off with this one and found WP1, WP2, WP3. WP4 was a bit confusing, but now had the four colours... What to do next? Totally confused, we read on and found the line about the small path (beware its slippery and full of clay) and eventually found this path and made our way up it.. If it wasn't for that line and hint we would never have found the cache.. I would be interested if the owner would email me the correct calculations so we can see where we went wrong.. Thanks for showing us this spot with a spectacular view..
Everything fell into place quickly. Luckily we brought a colour code with us, thought it might come in handy. Very windy at the end. Thanks for an interesting puzzle.
Seems a fitting time to do this one, had the puzzle sussed so just had to collect a little information to complete. Took about 20 minutes to do the whole cache.

This cache remains one of my favourites.
I had a TB picked up from Christchurch in the weekend. As the GZ for this cache is extremely close to my house I thought I might as well drop it off.

10:56 Back again after starting this last September.
Surprised that my soloution was within six metres of GZ. No one else in the area today, so luck was on our side.
Stunning views from near cache and great idea for a puzzle. TnLn. Thanks for cache.

Loved the mystery element, and having to solve the clues to find the waypoints.

Started this one on New Year’s eve, roughly worked out the final co-ords, but didn’t make the find, too many muggle kids hanging out at GZ for us to make a serious attempt. Returned early this morning to make an easy find, no one about except the Sanitation Engineer. Nice views of the breaking dawn.

Another cache solved well after dark. Thanks Obblue for another great mystery, some of your others still elude me but I'll crack them this week.
17:23 Finished all the clues but I suspected you need the cache page to work it out. Later on I discovered that didn't make much difference. One for our next trip if I can work it out before then. Thanks so far, enjoyed this different multi.
I really enjoyed this cache, thanks so much, it is really clever and fun.

Enjoyed this on lots. I picked up the common thread quite early and used a combination of guesswork and the clues to hit the final after about 40 minutes. An interesting spot with nobody playing nearby today.

Gathered the waypoints easily enough, discovered it's not a good idea to try and do the final in the dark so had to come back. Slippery after a day's rain, but no real problem. TNLNSL. TFTC.
Second attempt. Took more than an hour to work out. Found easily when solved. Hints were very useful. TNLNSL. TFTC
A wonderful cache! Now one of my favourites! Very cryptic and requires a bit of work - well done.
Originally started working on at the Plimmerton Domain BBQ with pariah[GC], but had to do some work at home before knowing where to look! The opportunity to find it arised today in some fantastic weather, resulting in some great views.

And a rather bronzed looking ADV steps up, shakes hands with OB, shakes hands with Grangar, well done guys.
Fun little puzzle. Took a couple of shots at GZ to put this one to bed, but eventually was able to make the snatch, and grabbed it. Yes, short climb at the end, it is too high to jump.

Great views at GZ after the short but stiff climb. Used an easier way down. Muggles using skate boards near GZ didn't seem to be bothered about us though

OB takes the Au! (There is room for a couple more up here before the thunderous applause from the crowd starts.)
It took 3 days, and two visits to GZ to complete. "About an hour"...maybe I am just slow?
I suspect a typo in the formula to create waypoint #3, using the constant 871 makes a lot more sense the the 771 given.
For all that, this puzzle has layers wthin layers, I loved it!
-TB (to make room actaully) +LED torch.
