Wasnt expecting one of these out here. Mixture of old and new. Almost like a personal cemetery. TFTC chrispy89.
After turning onto the bitumen we noticed something a bit further passed our destination. On the road was a large dead wombat. This fella could still cause some serious damage to a vehicle so we moved him out of harms way. Its a shame you only see them like this instead of wandering in the bush out of harms way.Back to the small paddock of lonely stones to make a quick find and continue our trip to the end of the world!TFTC postiegirl06Keep smiling
Day out around burra and found this gem along with some personal family history Number 4 for jake and Em
We are off on a trip to the Birdsville Races and then across to Queensland - the plan is for about 6 weeks all going well.
Day 1 was Portland to Cockatoo Lake.
Day 2 was Cockatoo Lake to Tailem Bend where we jumped on the bikes and toured around town.
Day 3 we jumped on the bikes and travelled the loop from Tailem Bend to Wellington.
Day 4 Tailem Bend to World's end with lunch at Robertson
Day 5 World's End sheltering from the rain.
Day 6 World's End to Farrell's Flat
Day 7 Farrell's Flat touring to Mintaro
Thanks for contribution to our holiday chrispy89

One of the many cemeteries I visited today and the cache was easily found here, an interesting location for the dead
Today after my own two events in the city I decided to head away for a night of camping, caching along the way mainly focusing on caches yet to be found around the Goyder LGA, by the days end I found myself camped up in Caroona Creek Comservation Park. A great day out enjoying the SA country side and found around 60 caches
Thanks for the cache

Decided to do a day trip to Morgan, Mt Mary and Bower area for a day’s caching which included the Tour Down Under series. Manage to get 55 for the day which is a personal best. Had a fantastic day looking around. All caches were in good condition unless mentioned otherwise. TFTC
ANZAC Day caching at the world’s end!

Spent the weekend at the Worlds End Creek off the grid grabbing caches in the area and on the way here and home. TFTC.
What a lovely day to be caching in this area. Found with Symonds 6. Signed log as GuS6. TFTC.
These are lonely stones at this wonderful old cemetery. Cemeteries are one of my favorite cache locations. Imagine being buried at Worlds End. The cache was found after a very short search.
Today we enjoyed caching along the Worlds End Highway through Robertstown and into the Worlds End Gorge. After completing those caches we then continued to Burra to do the Lab cache and a couple of multis that have been published since we were there last.
Many thanks for the hide chrispy89

It was school holidays and I needed a break from school and chores and needed to just have some fun. I talked sir_spectre into joining me for a weekend away caching near Clare and Burra. We avoided the big towns and focused on the caches we normally drive past on the way to somewhere else. Any caches that needed some attention got it.
Thanks to chrispy89 from mogni

quick find. Another cemetery for the trip
found with Mogni. Headed out in the general direction of clare and planned to clean out clare before the June Long Weekend End Event in 2022. As usual there was ALOT of caches found before then and only a couple of caches where found in clare before staying in Farrel Flat for the night. The next day was cleaning out Burra and slowly making our way home. Damn doing multi's takes so long, since the final has a habit of not being in the direction you are planning to go next. All caches that where found that were brittle or damaged were replaced and logs found wet where replaced, except for nano's. Nano's are evil spawn and you can do your own maintanence on them.

Found on our way northwards to camp out at Redbanks, near Burra for a few nights. Thanks for the cache chrispy89!
There is something about finding a cemetery in the middle of nowhere. Does being watched by a mob of sheep considered muggled?

It’s too cold to be a lonely stone today. A nice quick find after exploring a little bit. TFTC
Found with the bees and snappy tomcats on a non JLWE due to COVID.
a cold day for picking up stones.

It was that time of the week again. It was time for the Wednesday Wanderings of the Puzzled Puzzler group in search of those smilies. [^] Today I got to join S.A. Sewer Rats, Blackadders and sushilord for a wander up towards Burra in search of solved puzzles and anything else that we were passing. [^]
A quick find. Nice camo colour that blended in well.
**Thanks DustyandDizz for this cache. **

The usual weekly Wednesday with some of the Puzzled Puzzlers. The plan was to clear out Burra and any others on the way. The Starfish, KORF and the Adder met at the Sewer Rats at 9am for this long day of seeking plastic containers in the outback.
On the way home after a long day, they are certainly lonely stones. Another little gem that we would never have visited if not for this hobby. TFTC

Headed down this road today solely because we liked the name of it. Grabbed a few caches along the way that weren't too far off the road.
After a side trip to the End of the World we continued heading south and got quite a surprise when we went over the brow of a hill and found a cemetery.
A short stroll had us at GZ where the cache was quickly found. Have found many of these before but never one quite like this.
As it was such a beautiful day we wandered around the cemetery. We have visited quite a few cemeteries in the last few days but it has always been wet or windy so we haven't lingered.
Great to see one grave with a bunch of fresh flowers on it including lots of daffodils.
We grow quite a lot of daffodils at home but are always away when they are at their best. Our daughter goes over to check the cattle and feed them and gets a big bunch every week though.
Thanks.

A day trip to the Mid North with SnappyTomCats...we had perfect weather...the countryside is stunning at this time of year...green pastures, canola fields, wattles, big trees, blue sky and lots of kangaroos...
We respectfully wandered around the little cemetery before arriving at GZ locating the cache quickly...
Thanks for the placement postiegirl06

Out today with Hevwalker, we decided to head towards Burra. This was a quick find in a quaint but oddly placed cemetery. No Church or even remnants of one near by...TFTC
On a motorbike ride to Burra for the day and had a look for this one without success. It may have been carried away by the flies! They were diabolical!
Driving with the van from Greenock, stopping over at various spots for overnight camps, and caching as we move. It was raining when we left Greenock, so only stopped off at caches when it was not raining.
Despite not normally stopping at drive by's, (when we have the van on) we always love visiting remote burial grounds.
Thanks for the hide Postiegirl06.

Have always wanted to stop here on our way home from football - today was the day! Left Dad and #1 son to do the hunting while #2 and I absorbed the history. Love the cache container, very sneaky - thanks
We have returned from Canada to discover a few more Australian caches! What a great way to explore the Land Down Under" ...
Our first find of 2016
Had a look around. Surprised at the newer dates on some of the plaques.
Thanks for sharing this bit of history postiegirl06!

Quick and easy find.
Found while exploring some back roads in the Mid North!
It is a lonely spot as there isn't even a name on the gate.

A lonely spot to be in for eternity. Interesting spot and cache caused us a few problems, but found the elusive lonely one eventually.
Sixth find on the Broken Hill trip. Nice hide and a nice visit to a very peaceful site. I hadn't even noticed the graveyard here on previous drives. TFTH
Wow. What a peaceful place if you're into desolate places. Looked for something that had no real reason to be there and it was a quick find. Again the coords just a little off piste. But that did not matter.
We love old cemeteries, so couldn't resist this one (which we would have driven by without noticing if it hadn't been for the cache).
Spent ages inspecting a "lonely" discarded "conglomerate cement rock" with many crevices containing red back spiders (nearly gave up!) before we found the cache.
It was very interesting to us that unlike most remote cemeteries we have found, there is no signage (old or new) to inform us as to the name of the cemetery and it's associations. Does anyone know what the name of this locality is and whether there existed a church/settlement somewhere about that the cemetery is connected with?
TFTC and for bringing us here!

Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia.
After camping last night in Burra Creek Gorge we were supposed to stay another few nights and tour into Burra but somehow the plans changed and whilst Mr Felix went off on a lengthy walk to find a cache Mrs Felix packed the caravan to move to town!
Whilst out hunting down a few caches near here is where our plans changed. Didnt take too long to locate the cache. Another spot geocaching has brought us to.

Here, close to the intersection of Hallelujah Hills Road and Worlds End Roads I found a cemetery
Can this place get any odder ?
I was looking for a stone apparently
Plenty of those around [:o)]
Which one is it ?
Ten minutes or so into my 'quick driveby' I found the right one
TFTC !!
Number of horsemen of the apocalypse seen here today, zero .... but I'm sure they will be along soon

Found on the way home after attending the Oz Mega Event in Murray Bridge. South Australia. Decided o head home through Broken Hill for some sightseeing and caching. Great cache. TFTC
My Bestie, the CO brought me out here after doing a hundred nearby cache to see if I could find this one, and have a laugh at my expense I am sure!
It really is a lonely place to be interred!
Well after a reasonable period, and I thought I knew what to look for despite the CO not letting on, even the Bestie couldn't find it either!
Eventually we found it about 8m off from gz, so placed it back closer to gz.

Thanks Bestie x

A good hide nearly gave up on this one the clues are there if you look hard enough
Sorry postiegirl06 for the generic log but I'm trying to catch up on my logging, I currently have over 1000 to log before hitting some powertrails in the US after the block party next week. As always I enjoy the hunt whether I'm solo or with some of my caching or muggle friends. Thanks to those who have accompanied me to make the day more pleasurable and many thanks postiegirl06 for placing this cache.
Very well hidden. Lots of lonely stones here and many unmarked. Interesting there is mainly three families. TFTC This was cache 3 for the day

Nice hide, still learning the tricky types of caches. Haven't seen this type before.
Found whilst out on a great day trip to Burra with CPWanderer.
The Ms love visiting lonely stones. CP and Mr M walked straight past the cache, but thankfully Mrs M made the find. Mr M visited some of the lonely stones whilst the log was signed. TFTC.

Looked four years ago as well.
