Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. Staying at Milang for a few days exploring the area and picking up a few caches. along the way. Thanks for the cache. LNCU
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in Milan a few days to do the Nurragi track caches and to grab others in the area. Quick find. Thanks for the hide. LNCU
One of fourteen Nurragi caches found today on what must be at least my third assault on this linear trail. Having previously top and tailed it, today Ive parked the car on Milang-Finiss Road for an out and back walk. Its a perfect day for it, and great to see SA finally showing some green for winter. All caches were quickly found with good coordinates, no DNFs today, and no issues with ant of the containers. I was the only human on this part of the trail this afternoon; there were some kangas for company around the middle. Not a Hurtle cache! Thanks for the hide Team Jeckyll, and to mogni for help keeping it in play.
On my way down to Milang for a long weekend. It was a last minute decision to come but my plan for day 1 was to finish off the Nurragi trail. I started this trail on foot back in 2012. That day I managed about 12 caches but I decided to return one day with my bike. That day as today. The track is quite overgrown in places so it was tough going in places, but still faster than walking. Today I found all of the caches left on the trail except 2. One was replaced with CO permission. The other was flagged as a DNF as it was getting late in the day and my tiredness may have impacted my ability to spot the cache. All in all it is very satisfying to get the vast majority of this trail completed. Thanks for the cache Hidden by Team Jeckyl, adopted by mogni.# # #13999 # #
Found with Dave’s mob. My little legs was finding it hard to get over these fence.
Found it after the Milang event, we ( myself a , Kayche23, northstar76, Superman_22 ) walked the full Nurragi Walk. We saw a lizard, kangaroos hopping through the field, and a ton of ants .

doineedthis, kayche23, Superman_22, northstar76 and myself went on a walk to collect the Nurragi Walk series after the Milang meet up event nearby. We did the whole 12.5km walk.
We also performed maintenance on the CO's behalf when it was required.
After consideration at the event, we decided to write "Dave's Mob" in all cache log books.
It was a good day with nice weather and meeting some new cachers which is always good, as well as catching up with familiar faces.
Stories were told and laughs were had, as well as 51 caches found for the day. Thanks Dave for getting us all together.
We did this cache while doing the trail and had no issues finding the cache.
Thanks Team Jeckyl and Mogni for this cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 2691 on the 25th of March 2023.
I have hosted quite a few CITO's in my time, making huge differences thanks to the people who came along!
Whether you're out finding caches or just taking a stroll somewhere, remember to always be CITO-ing to help maintain our parks and reserves!

Found out caching the Nurragi Trail with Wollaston on the off-road e-bikes. An easy trail to ride taking 3 hours, just needed to hoick the bikes over some hurdles along the way. We were joined by a million flies, spotted a shedded snake skin, had the company of one other rider, some kangaroos and even helped a sheep get its head out of a ring lock fence, did a bit of maintenance where we could and ended the afternoon with happy hour at the local cafe/gift shop.
Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting & detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird or Angry Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC mogni

Set out today with the bike to tackle the Nurragi Walk series. Waited out a couple of short showers early in the day so it was going to be close to dark when I finished.
But that didn't happen, instead a puncture with only 6 to go Not up to fixing them on the trail yet so it was an almost 4K walk back to the car.
All caches attempted were, thanks to good co-ords, quickly found, usually without taking GPSr off bike. I'll be back for those other six sometime.
Thanks to mogni for putting out this cache for me to find

Found with Shonky Logic on a great day out in an attempt to close in on 100 for the year, poor effort I know. But 2020's been that sort or year. We had a great ride along this trail and found all but one cache.

Caching with Southern Cross Caching along the Nurragi Trail and beyond. We parked a vehicle at each end and took the mountain bikes along the trail. Although the trail is flat and more of a walking track than a bike track it wasn't too difficult apart from having to lift the bike over the fence at each end of each section.
This cache was found at 12:52:00 PM and was 23 of 66 finds today.
Apologies for the generic log but it is a powertrail. Thanks Team Jeckyl

Out getting some much needed exercise and fresh air today...
Spent all week working from home and the weather has been a bit dodgy...
Today was lovely to spend walking the Nurragi Walk with friends, not breaking restrictions though...
The container was brittle & broken...I knew there had been some issues along the trail so I came prepared with spares...I have replaced the container...
Wipes & sanitiser were used in the retrieval of this cache...
Thanks Team Jeckyl for the hide

Thanks Team Jeckyl for this on along the Nurragi Walk. I had a blast today riding its length.
Finally having a day off from work, I joined @Davidwazza and gridge98 on this trail, which was also my first time on a mountain bike! The weather was great to us until the end of the day although there were some grimacing clouds in the sky, it actually turned out to be a perfect day with a lovely temperature and only a few raindrops towards the end of the day. I definitely don't enjoy power trails, but enjoyed the boys doing most of the finds, hopping on and off the bikes, and very much enjoyed the day (although being a power trail).
We started at Marker #1 at the old Sandergrove School, and then rode 10 km towards Milang. At the Finniss-Milang Road, we decided to make a shortcut to the town to have lunch at the bakery before it closed. We then made a small loop of the town collecting those caches, seeing the old train station, and then following the old railway tracks as it returned us back to the Nurragi railway trail. We ended up riding back a little in the Moonlight, a fun day!

Reviewing the weather, @jesswrigley, [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY), and I decided to take our mountain bikes (with [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) bringing his all-purpose all-terrain geocaching bike) to ride this Nurragi Conservation Reserve linear trail. We studied the photos of the trail to ascertain if it would be too muddy to ride with the rain about the place, but it seemed to be ok to ride. I had spoken to the CO previously who mentioned it was an enjoyable power trail to ride, as some websites suggested it was walking only, but in the end, we were really glad that we rode. It seemed to be quite a slow trail if we were just walking, and we even passed a couple of other riders on bikes also halfway. Although there were some grimacing clouds in the sky, it actually turned out to be a perfect day with the right temperature and only a few raindrops towards the end of the day.
I'm not really sure if I enjoy power trails, but on bikes, they are awesome. It gets you outside out and about, and allows the trail to be more interesting. Most of the geocaches were found reasonably quickly with thanks to good coordinates, and we didn't have any DNFs for the day. Most in good condition, although there were a few that were starting to show their age with cracking due to the UV, like the old fruit containers. However, they were probably still ok for another 1-2 years before requiring to replace. I did come with some backup containers and logbooks anyway, but didn't need to use them other than a few plastic bag replacements.
We started at Marker #1 at the old Sandergrove School, and then rode progressively through approximately 10 km once we neared Milang at the Finniss-Milang Road, we decided to make a shortcut to the town to have lunch at the bakery before it closed. We then made a small loop of the town collecting those caches, seeing the old train station, and then following the old railway tracks as it returned us back to the Nurragi railway trail. [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) and I then accelerated our cache collection as time marched on, and had to ride back along the trail back to the car. It took a little more time than what we had planned, and the last few kilometres were done in the dwindling light and dark, which added another adventurous element to the day. Luckily some moonlight allowed us to see a few metres ahead of us, and no trees or branches were harmed (nor us) during that time. Thanks Team Jeckyl for this original oldie!

After a surprise Tuesday Trekking this week for some members of the Puzzled Puzzlers as some could only make Tuesday, the usual Wednesday walkabout really was to be a walkabout. [P] We were going to tackle the entire Nurragi Walk from Sandergrove to Milang in one hit. I was joined today by Anymules, Sushilord and Blackadders. Cars either end meant it was only a one way walk!
Not actually part of the trail but an original cache. We were not just going to walk past it, were we. Of course we stopped and found it.

Another day of the usual Puzzled Puzzlers group outing. This time with a Mule, Starfish and A fish Lord.
The Plan, leave one car at the end of the series then start at the beginning.
Now recovering from the sore leg and calf muscles that are not used to walking that far. No nasties seen along the way and surprisingly no major injuries.
All caches were found in good order except where mentioned in logs from other members of the team.

Decide to divide this walk into sections and then take two days to complete it. By doing short sections at a time we didn’t have to carry too many supplies with us and we could stop at any time.
Back for day two, for this section we parked at the access point on Nurragi Road and walk to cache #9 collecting every second cache on the way out and the remaining caches on the way back.
We found all seven caches on this section and it took 50 minutes.
Thanks Team Jeckyl

I'm in the area to find a few more caches in the Nurragi Walk series. When I found this cache my first thought is that this is a bit different and then after rereading the cache page I realised that this is from a different CO. This is in good condition. Thanks Team Jeckyl
Completed this portion of the Nurragi trail from the Finnis-Milang Rd to Nurragi rd (after doing the other sections in Feb and May).
This was our last cache in the entire trail, and as it is the original cache for the area, we thought it fitting to add a fav point and drop a TB (Clarence goes to NZL).
A thoroughly enjoyable area to walk. Found the cache and signed the log.

One of our hopes for this visit to South Australia was to complete the Nurragi Walk and, in the process, look for the caches along the way. Family commitments gave us that opportunity today. The weather conditions were ideal - fine, temperature in the low twenties and a very gentle breeze. We really enjoyed the walk with the varied bird life, some wildflowers in bloom, and the variety of plants and trees - the colours and variations in colours of the trunks of some of the trees was superb. The good size caches were very well spaced and all were in well planned and sensible hides. Our GPS units indicated that all coordinates were within the limits of accuracy of the devices.
Accurate coordinates led to a quick find of a well hidden cache although it was only seen when we looked from the right angle. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Team_jeckyl for the cache.

Mr C has been eyeing this series off since they were published from back at home in Newcastle, NSW. With today being the coolest day of the holiday break, I got Mrs C to drop me off at the start and I began the walk. I scared some sheep in the paddocks, disrupted some kangaroos, and was lucky enough to not encounter and slithery, scaley things. I found all the caches, some were harder than others but most were easily found. A total of 13 kms walked in close to 4 hours.

Long weekend camping is the way I like to do it. Wonderful weather during the day and only a tad chilly during the night. Was a brilliant achievement to all in the team. Beautiful bird life, kangaroos, bee's, ant's and only one fly. Scratched arms and itchy fingers as some silly plants decided to attack a few of us.
Great work setting out this trail we didn't try and complete this in a day we broke it up in two, I don't think our bodies were meant to do 40,000+ steps in a day without yelling and screaming at us.

A breezy, showery day. A great sleep at the Milang Motel saw us up and ready to tackle today's challenge: clear up Milang and the Narragi Walk before 5pm. Our normal attack would be to "divide and conquer" each section but with only the phone looks like we are both in for some walking today. Ah well a good day for a brisk walk.
Hot foot back to the car. It now becomes a race between the sun and battery power. Which will be the winner.

We were going to do this trail a week earlier and we are glad we delayed it until today as last weekend was around 40 degrees, today was around 24 so it made for the perfect day to tackle this trail with earthlight and The X-Trailers, I chose the mountain bike while the others walked it, this was a very enjoyable trail to do, we saw a couple of roos along the trail and quite a few different types of birds, the flies weren't to much of a problem but wearing the fly net certainly helped at a couple of the caches i could hear a huge fly and its the biggest fly i have seen, very cool trail and thanks for bringing us here as i never knew about this trail and glad we did it. Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia.
The rain was fairly pelting our van overnight and so with a poor nights sleep we were not exactly rushing out the door this morning. Once we finally had our '....' together we headed off plotting a course for Milang and collecting any geocaches we could find to/fro.
The weather turned out to be quite nice today with bright sunshine and only the occasional cloud to worry us.
Thanks Team Jeckyl for helping us to tour SA whilst using Geocaching.

Found by Mary & David at 1233. Always good to get off the black top on to quiet back roads. When we parked, we were greeted by the mournful dirge of a crow and a view of brown crop stubble. A stile is always a fun exercise, even for elderly knees. An enjoyable walk to GZ followed, although we wouldn't fancy doing it in the heat. Would be a stunning place to return to in peak wildflower season. Found the cache after a quick search. Our thanks to Team Jeckyl.
We are staying in this area for a few days and enjoying discovering some of the treasures of the Fleurieu
