Honestly have no idea how to access this one, if it is even possible. The access to the area may be possible from the "Caravan parking spot" but I really dont think so. I pulled up at the spot on my bicycle, and assessed the area. First there is a downwards slope of about a metre which I had to access on my rear, then trudged through grass up to my knee. I made it 150 towards the cache but stopped in my tracks by a GIANT brown snake. it didnt move but I wasnt game to climb over it to keep going towards the cache. If there was a path here, its not here anymore. Locked gates at all the northern points makes it not possible to access this one. The cache might be there, in fact I highly doubt it would be muggled due to a determined Pika couldn't get even close to the spot. Maybe this one will be a blue frowny face for a long time, but ill keep an eye out for when the access is mowed, or if someone else finds access to this. My failed adventure was still a blast, but i cant handle snakes. Pika 13/9/23
I really cannot believe that I placed this cache way back in 2007, gee a lot has happened in that time and now that MND has appeared in my life things have really changed but life must go on.
An old saying expect the unexpected really tells it all. No F.P. but I will change that and thanks to Colin for looking after these caches in this little visited area of Geelong.
Stay safe all.

*Cache find # 12688.*
I stopped at this one on the way to the maze but didn’t have any luck finding it so I moved onto the maze and seeked some help for the way back.
On my return, I had a bit more knowledge but with that knowledge it still too some time to find even thought once you find it, you wonder why it took so long to find, finally the log was signed and I was on my way back to the car.
**Thanks to Bushfire for placing this cache.**

Thought it would be good to collect this one after finally finding a way in. Dressed appropriately I walked in and searched and searched. Decided that I would check out the Maze while here.
Decided that one could wait and checked again after a plea for help. With that knowledge I knew I had the wrong bird's eye view and spotted something that was a possibility. Sure enough that was right. that little devil had been laughing at me the whole time. Found a nice clean log sheet with only 2 names one it now.
Thanks for the fun Bushfire.

Mr Dromaniax headed out with Bushfire today to retrieve a cache and check up on another. We were wheeling a wheelbarrow loaded with a couple of ladders and other tools we may need. It was suggested that the wheelbarrow might be added to Bushfire's toolkit. While in the area, we checked in on this cache. The rain and warmer weather that we have experienced this year has helped a lot of growth happen in both the grass and the creepers near this cache. Ripping the weedy creepers away from the anchor points for the cache gave access to the cache relatively quickly. The cache was in excellent condition, which made Bushfire happy. The walking to this point had been pretty straightforward. This is a story in three parts. Thank you for this cache, Bushfire.
After a heads up re a wet log the ageing bushfire went for a wander down to this remote area today and it was the case so a new container and log was placed in a slightly different location that may be a little harder to locate but it is still hanging.
Originally stopped here on the way to the caches closer towards the river. A quick look revealed nothing.
Stopped here on the way back out and there it was!!

Sheesh, this one took waaayyyy longer than it should have. I kicked myself when, after about ten minutes of scratching through weeds and reeds, the geokid says "found it". TFTC.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

My last cache in the list of 4 nearby. Yucky #1... done. Yucky #2.... also done. Mum or Eclipse or !!.... done. Saved (unintentionally) the easiest for last. Had a rough idea of what I was looking for, but with bushfire one never really knows, so I had my eyes open to all opportunities. After a good 5 mins or so, a cache that met my exact initial suspicions revealed itself. Log signed & returned in place for the next finder.
Between these 4 caches I was able to kick off my unloved challenge with over 3 years of 'unloved' finds.
The best part was, I could now walk back the long, but much much much much easier way to the car than the way I came to this point.
Yucky #1 is reachable by car these days, but for the remaining 3 around here definitely park at the nominated location & take the easy, scenic route in. Just dont expect Yucky #2 to be a pleasant stroll, no matter what your angle of approach.
Again, TFTC bushfire, a memorable mornings hunting was indeed had.

Been here 3 times for this one. Twice before I'd even got to 10 finds which probably didn't help. Been a long time between logs but I had some time to kill so here I was. Feeling a bit sorry for myself after completing the nearby "The Maze" I was wondering where it could be when I remembered I had a hint from the CO in my messages. A quick check and it was found. Thanks Bushfire for a great series!!
Second go at this one. Long time since the last find. No sign of the cache. Searched high and low. Gotta come back for another in the area as it got dark, so I'll be back again for another look.
After a report that the log book was full I called in today and rectified that today.
A nice quick grab here. The logbook is full but I know you will rectify this soon Bushfire. Thanks for the hide, I am grateful for a quick grab as I think the next two will be a challenge!
Found this one with Geo-hubby. Lovely walk. Log needs replacing, is full. Thanks!
After finding Barwon Yucky I was pleased to find a much easier walk to this one.
An area I had not explored before, and it seems not many people wander out this way and thus have never seen this acqueduct.
Fortunately even in the fading late afternoon light I found the cache quite easily.
Thanks, Bushfire.

Out for the afternoon with the geo-gf! We tried coming up the court to get to this one, but realised we would have to trespass to get there. So a park and walk it was! Nice to get out and see some countryside that I never knew existed!
The pipeline bridge was a cool find - another section I didn't was around town. The cache was easy to find with the coordinates, but it was nice to come out this way

Nevile_Devil and I had just completed Yuck #2 and returned to the car when we realized this and Mum or Eclipse was just nearby but we were in need of a well earned drink so we drove to a nearby Servo a for a quench of thirst. Now it was back to the hunt.
We made it to GZ with ease and a quick find was also made. Log signed and off to Mum or eclipse.

HAPPY NEW YEAR. I didn't have a big one last night as I had work on today but after the boss had a late start, he was good enough to let me go early. So why go home when I can grab some caches which I haven't had the chance to do much of recently. I parked the geo vehicle, grabbed some geo tools and was on my way. I found this one easily and quickly enough 1/4 bushfire caches that I looked for today and the only one I was able to find. Stamped and returned as found.
[blue]Thanks for this trad cache, Bushfire. [^]
Log and container in good condition.

Took us 5 mins to find it. Had Mikey along - he seems to find these small ones. Fortunately.
found with Donutholes and DAB found an easy enough way in. this one wasnt too difficult
Attacked this area with DAB and BrandenAdams and came out successful Great way to spend the arvo. Thanks for the hide!!
These hides have been on my radar for months. I went and purchased a pair of gumboots from Bunnings this morning especially for these 4 Barwon caches. I met up this morning with a couple of fellow cachers, Donutholes and BrandenAdams. Nice to meet you guys.

How do you fill in a long weekend[?]
Head to Geelong with Mogni and Brisal5 for an event and a few days caching!
All up, I found 141 caches , attended 1 event and had 6 DNFs
We did a few series and enjoyed them, we met Bushfire and enjoyed learning about his considerable knowledge of Geelong's caches and we met Team Autumn and several other interstate teams while having a blast during the Geelong-Opoly 2015 event! [^]
All in all, a fantastic weekend.
Found this cache while participating in the Geelong-Opoly 2015 event.
Walked in the correct way and found the cache...however my team mate has let slip about the exit route.
Thanks for the history lesson

In Geelong for the Monopoly event with brisal5 and locus cache. We managed to grab this one while competing.... we were never going to win so we might as well grab some caches
This one had us scratching our heads, how to get to this one without walking through private property. We got in ok but took a short cut out.
Thank you

Found this today during the Geelong-Opoly event. Slight detour and the find was made however I can't log it properly because I left my pen in the car. I will be back on my next visit to Geelong and put my mark in the log book.
Really thought the local structure well worth a visit.
thanks Bushfire

In Geelong for the weekend with Mogni and Locus Cache. Today we are participating in Geelong-opoly 2015 but have realized we are so geographically embarrassed we are not in the top teams. Decided as all the game placements are near local caches we will get them as well. Doing the right thing and stopping at the parking coordinates I made the walk in. Took a fair while and looked in a nest before spying the hide. Thanks Bushfire. Left the wrong way as the game piece was in the lane-way between the pairs of locked gates and lets face it...it was a race!
A great find I've been meaning to make since I moved into the area. I almost confused a more natural hiding place for the real cache... Luckily I found the real deal before I disturbed the residents!
I've been wanting to come here for some years, this was the perfect excuse.
The cache had us going round in circles at first then the cache was spotted, looks like it's been here a while.
Thanks for the Cache Bushfire

out and about with alchey on a lovely sunny day picking up a few unfound caches around the area. bit of a search and cache was soon in hand. nice area, lots of wildlife who seem unbothered by our presence. tftc
After leaving the area and coming back we headed in for the trek, of course chasing more then this. Heading in we heard the sounds of some 2 stroke bikes zooming around hmmm bushfire said something about that. The walk in wasn't as long as I thought it was going to be. Arriving at GZ with geodog looking around we found some freshly broken branches surely the cache will be in there, ah nope but there it is tucked in nicely with some interesting hardware. Getting out to sign the cache an sure enough along come the bikes, the 2 riders who slowed down to go past us which I was quite surprised by. Back in to replace the cache. Good spot now onto the planned cache. Thanks bushfire much appreciated
Had a scurry around down low until I read the hint- quick find Glad to come back to this place for a second time after doing yucky 2- this time found a much easier entrance and freshly mowed grass!
Looked in the wrong spot then moved on further. good camo and in scatched my back. OW
A long walk in after being unable to access Yucky. Buy a quick find with some keen eyes from the kids.
Having initially gone the wrong way to this one that had us locate Barwon - Yucky, we finally found the right way in - quite a trek. The geokids again did their bit as we hit GZ as the light was rapidly fading - but needed an adult to retrieve! TFTC Bushfire!
Wow I would never have come here if it weren't for geocaching! So thanks for the cache and bringing me here =] nice easy find. Not a bad little stroll. Worth the reward of a cool view and find! Find number 98 on my list. Cheers.
Back in Geelong from Adelaide again, visiting for Easter. Just had to get a few more of the local caches!
After getting a nearby cache, decided to walk to this one. Quickly found with a little "hint" help.'

We must have used up all our bad luck at Barwon – Mum or Eclipse or !! earlier in the day. Usually these types of hides take ages for us to find but today it wasn't a problem. Decided to take the easy path back to the car. TFTC
Great structure and great place to walk your dog, even on a windy day!! Thanks

Not knowing the area to well I was concerned the rain would make my travels a nightmare here.
It was'nt really too bad to get here.
The rain had passed and I was on my way to beat the next shower.
Got to GZ in no time and soon uncovered the hide.
More unloved days!!

Out grabbing a few caches after work today and decided to head down to get these Barwon caches given the ideal walking weather. Parked at the recommended spot, found the path after a bit of a hunt, starts right near the corner of the commercial property fence. Then the pleasant walk to GZ. It took a bit of a hunt before the elusive cache was finally found. Thanks to bushfire for this one.
GPS tried to put me on the other side of the river, but managed to sort it without going swimming and made the find with Geo-kid 1. Then on the way back ran into a suspiciously familiar figure and had a great chat with Bushfire! Thanks for the cache great to meet you!
Found today after 2nd trip with geo-kids and geo-woof, bumped into bushfire on the way, geo-kid spotted the well hidden cache... Had a laugh at the dog wanting to play with the cows and barking at them on the way back. T4TC.

The cloud glider alerted me to the fact that Barwon Water has decided to upgrade the area and the Box Thorn tree where the cache was located has been poisoned so he grabbed the cache.
Back in the area today the said Box Thorn Tree is no more and is in a heap to be burnt by the looks of things.
This guy has been relocated to another position close by so I will now change the co-ords and all should be OK.

Set out to find the 3 of Bushfire's caches in this area. The plan was to go to A Birds Eye View first, then onto Mum or Eclipse or !!!, then across to Yucky and back to the car. An easy 2.4km stroll. There is no easy way across from Mum or Eclipse or !!! to Yucky because it is extremely YUCKY all the way so attempts at Yucky should be separate.
Found this one @ 1200. Looks like the days of this location may be numbered, SL. TFTC Bushfire and now onto Mum or Eclipse or !!!. cloudglider

OzzieBear & MrSnoop found this at 5.30pm on our way back from Mum or Eclipse. This one was a little less challenging and soon logged. Thanks for the cache Bushfire.
Found today with OzzieBear. A lovely day for a walk in the sun & to pick up two Barwon caches was the great incentive to get out and about. Spotted this one with not too much trouble & hhad the log book signed. Thanks Bushfire.

Not sure about a birds eye view but what an amazing structure forms the backdrop for the cache. H-P was way more intent on the view while P-P attended to the details of the cache.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt Bushfire.
PS- We were so consumed with our next cache find that we forgot to log this one - sorry!

After a visit by TeamDDMC on Jan 03rd this year who stated that the log was damp it was off to check today with a new log in the cache bag. Well the new log is now in the black cache nice and dry and waiting to be found. I will put an O ring on this guy to make it a little more water proof.
As there is only one cacher watching this cache I can say that there may be a couple of new caches placed here in this area in the next week or so, keep an eye out.
Bushfire.

I remember playing on this structure as a kid, found fairly quickly and signed the damp log
This was our first search, so I'm happy to say we managed to get to the location, but sad to say we didn't find it. We took our kids along and we able to get there easily enough, but we didn't use the prescribed car park and I think we technically shouldn't have gone the way we did
There is nothing around the location except bushes, so the hint, and the need for gloves said it must surely be a large prickly bush. Reading the other reports suggests this was correct.
I looked into all sides of the very thick prickly bush but couldn't find anything remotely man-made. I looked in some other similar spots nearby but they didn't need gloves. I hope it hasn't been taken, hopefully it was just my fault, I wasn't sure if I had the right place and so maybe I didn't look deep enough...
Well we had fun at least!

I used to visit here when I was a kid, no it wasn't newly built, but it was always a bit of adventure as in those days we could cross the bridge. This visit I brought a geo-friend who was assigned the job of poking around in the prickly bush. Where he found it!!

l will start at the start of this story for my log for this cache as it has its high points and its low points.
it all started last night at about 1030pm when l had noticed a new cache had just popped up in a area l knew well. l had to wait until my partner had got home tho from the shops as l had been doing some caching in her car earlier today and had left my gps in it. once she got home l grabbed it and jumped straight in my car (l was waiting out the front for her as this may be my ftf).
anyways, l got to the gz and looked for about 30 mins before l found it (it was so easier but l was looking in all the hard/wrong spots for it as l tend to do sometimes, over think the cache as l have been told that l do sometimes).
l eventualy found it and thought beauty l have to be the ftf but as l under rolled the log book (as it was a mirco) much to my disappointment l was not to be the ftf for this cache which yes did break my heart alittle. so l packed up and headed home.
on the way home l passed this cache (as l only live around the corner from it) and thought about doing it. l had my gps, my torch and l knew the cords were already in my gps but l thought l best had not as by this time it was close to 12pm and l had to get up earlier the next day to go to the geelong cup.
6 hours later...
l ended up pulling and alnighter as l start to design a tv cabniet for my front room and l get carried away alittle bit sometimes (as l am a draftsperson and l love detailing everything when designing something) so after l had designed, measured up and got a cutting/price list for it it was 6pm and first light had just come up so what did l think l should do...; so this cache!
so l got my gps, told the partner l was going out and l was on my way
l got to the carpark and new l was going to have along walk ahead of me (l have metal in most of the bones in my legs and hip so this was going to be along walk lol)
when l come to the gz my legs were all wet, my shoes were actually covered in ice from walking through all the icey grass. anyways,
as l walk up to gz l remembered reading 'take gloves to do this one' which l had forgotten but l sure as heck wasnt gunna walk back to the car to get them (generally the only things l take when l go find a cache is my gps, a knife, and pen and a torch).
after about 30 mins of looking l wasnt about to give up (l had to be home at 0800am to go to the races but l was more concerned about getting this cache) and as l was thinking this out of the corner of my eye l spotted the cache.
at this point with all the disappointment from last night was gone as l was so happy that l had finally found this one. l had put this one of for so long now so l felt so bloody glad to find the cache
thanks bushfire for this cache and all the wonderful stories l had to tell about my geocaching adventures

i little prickly but i nice walk and a structure that ive past many time before without evern realising it was here
Had noticed that Bushfire had checked this out and indicated that it was OK (Hope you didn't get too scratched), so I decided to give it another go. Very wet, slippery and muddy on the walk there but it was all made better with a quick find. No idea why I couldn't see it last time and even think that I must have come very close to touching it while being scratched by the hundreds of prickles. I was right in the right spot but failed to find it. Maybe looking too high. TFTC [B)]
After two DNF's I thought it was time to check this one out. Well I'm happy to say it is still there but with a little cache creep. I had a new green cache ready to be placed, this would be very hard to find but I left the black one there but now it is hanging on a hook so please replace back in the same spot.
Found GZ and proceeded to be cut to ribbons but with no reward. Found what I thought was a birds eye view but no eggs to find.
Got to GZ OK but was ill equipped or just looking in the wrong places to locate it this time. Enjoyed the walk Bushfire!
Very enjoyable walk, GPS took us right to GZ. Quick look and there it was staring us in the face. Great location. TNLNSL

With more pressing things to do, we decided to refresh our energy by looking for a near-by cache. It was a nice walk along the Barwon flood plain and in the evening, the adjoining industrial yards are quiet. On warm days this must be snake heaven, but fortunately, on this balmy evening they were busy elsewhere. Some time after arriving at GZ and having a good look arround, we got a call from Indiana08. He confirmed that we were looking for the right sort of hide, and soon afterwards we had the log in hand. Returning the cache was almost more difficult than finding it. It helped to have four hands in the process - it halves the pain.
Thanks Bushfire for another great hide.

SILVER GANG sent a email that the log was full yesterday so a trip to the cache to replace the log was the order of the day and the vicfire team were trying to find the small black micro as I arrived. They wanted no hint or help so I just wandered around G Z while they searched. Eventually senior vicfire found the cache not where I had last seen it. Put a new log in the container so all is well for quite a while.
We finely got back to do this. Bushfire bring up the rear to put new log in.
This took some looking, bushfire said " i think i can put my hand on it if you like.
No Thanks.
After some looking we got it.
Bushfire said its moved it should be here.
It was nice walk
Thanks

Quick find in the rain with little gear. Originally overlooked the cache thinking it was litter.. I like the aqueduct.
I have a funny feeling this cache was not in it's right place. We put it back exactly where we found it though.
