Driving the back roads. Quick find.Found with Mogni. This was a very, very last minute trip.I found out that i had to be in the " clare region " the next day by lunch the next day on muggle business. After that business was over i headed up to jamestown to get a 2001 cache via any adventure labs or caches i haven't found before staying in a B& B in Penworthm. Now it was time to start heading home via dirt roads to Burra for the new Adventure lab and then down every dirt road/track with caches on it and the odd track that needed the hubs locked on the ute. If the cache was broken/eaten/smashed it was replaced with a new container and if the log sheet was wet it was replaced and if the log was full or almost full extra log sheets were added to the cache.
Fantastic scenery! Took a little toy and will drop it off later in another geocache. Enjoying this new hobby!
I wouldn’t expect many people to be out here but with the new wind turbines going up on the ranges here there were a lot of trucks and utes going up and down the road. Cache easily found here and is all good
With a few days off back in Adelaide I decided to head to the mid north again after still having some caches to find up this way from my last visit 2 weeks ago, nice to be driving around on the back roads exploring new places and seeing the country side.
Thanks for the cache

Found on our way back home after a trip to Burra for a few days, staying out in the campground at Redbanks. Took the backroads with a few detours to search for caches along the way. Thanks for the cache mabar!
TFTC nice find took a bit to locate signed log and replaced container with camo systema container
TFTC it took a bit to find this cache as it was well hidden as the tree has been cut down & what’s left of the foliage has been dumped in a pile that hid the cache. We have replaced the broken cache container with another cammo sistema. Maintenance is definitely called for on this cache & owner has been notified.
This cache needs very urgent owner attention. The container is destroyed by the weather and all that remains is broken plastic. It has become so brittle that it is useless.
It was that time of the week again. It was time for the Wednesday Wanderings of the Puzzled Puzzler group in search of those smilies. [^] Today I got to join S.A. Sewer Rats, Blackadders and sushilord for a wander up towards Burra in search of solved puzzles and anything else that we were passing. [^]
We found the cache easily enough but sadly it needs a complete overhaul. Sorry for your loss mabar.
**Thanks mabar for this cache. **

The usual weekly Wednesday with some of the Puzzled Puzzlers. The plan was to clear out Burra and any others on the way. The Starfish, KORF and the Adder met at the Sewer Rats at 9am for this long day of seeking plastic containers in the outback.
Getting near the end of the day and heading home we had one last challenge for the 2WD. Negotiating the start of the track and we were soon into a decent dirt road that the geomobile liked. Arriving at GZ the find was a badly broken container with a log that needs replacing.
This one is in very urgent need of some TLC to keep it going.

Out today with Sebastbat, making a dent in the cache map to our north.
A sad reason for a cache placement, but a good one too.
Thanks for this one mabar

After caching in & around Burra it was time to start heading for home the long way around of course...
I can't imagine losing a child...a tragic day for your family...
Thankyou for placing this cache, mabar.

Out today with Hevwalker, we decided to head towards Burra. After lunch in town we started cachesploring...Exploring this beautiful town and caching at the same time. After clearing out the town we started caching our way home. This was a quick find. Cache and Log were soaked. Unfortunately didn't have a replacement. Needs some TLC TFTC
Nice and easy to find, but still quite well hidden. A little bit wet inside, but otherwise in perfect condition! R.I.P Ben
So sorry about your son, but what a lovely way to remember him. This was an easy find with taurus1955 and BentleyTB. We were just returning to the geo mobile, when another car pulled up and the driver asked if we were okay. Apparently this road is well known for puncturing tyres. Glad the country helpfulness and looking out for others is still alive and well. TFTC
I wanted to put a smiley face on this cache due to the sadness surrounding it. I am so sorry for your loss but I believe that your son would love being remembered in this way. I have since learned more about the name Princess Royal and am quite eager to learn more
This was our last cache after a very long, very hot day

Quick and easy find.
Log book is soaked.
Sad situation to lay this cache, but at least Ben was doing what he loved!

Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia.
Staying overnight at Burra Showgrounds before moving closer to Gawler. Today was a very late start to the day after a very cold night.
Departing camp at around 10.30am we headed for Redbanks conservation area. Where Mr Felix did the loop walk whilst Mrs Felix headed back towards town to grab some other smilies.
An interesting day, so much history has been preserved to share here in Burra. A very lovely town indeend.

Found this one quickly and easily on a very damp day while driving out from our campsite at Burra Creek Gorge. TFTC
Sorry mabar for the generic log but I'm trying to catch up on my logging, I currently have over 1000 to log before hitting some powertrails in the US after the block party next week. As always I enjoy the hunt whether I'm solo or with some of my caching or muggle friends. Thanks to those who have accompanied me to make the day more pleasurable and many thanks mabar for placing this cache.
Chrispy89 was holding the Pub Lunch In the Sticks, so firesafe, Homeysuckers, Burton's, SA Sewer Rats and I were out for the day
Burton's and SA Sewer Rats left us at Clare at about 10pm on the way home while the rest of our group continued caching until about 3am, just because we could
All up, I locus cache'd 69 caches with a smiley result and 2 with DNF's and attended a great event too
I am glad that your son managed to achieve one of his greatest ambitions prior to his untimely death: many people do not achieve their dreams in a much longer life! It does sound as though he grabbed life with both hands
It is always sad when a parent has to bury a child so it is nice that many people now think of Benjamin when they find this cache and also express their thoughts at your loss.

On a Big day out with Firesafe and Locus meeting up wit the Burtons sewer rats and oothers at an event in the sticks.
This was a big day starting at 7:00 am and going through to 4:30 am on Sunday morning. A group of us headed north for the Pub Lunch in the Sticks, caching our way up and back with 65 finds for the day.

Little Geodaughter was fast to find this one as it was on her side of the Geolux, easy driveby find a few creepy crawlies in side container
Sorry for your loss and a pleasure finding the cache and honouring your son's memory! TFTC
Sadden by your loss, we felt this was a tranquil place, although time is a great healer, it leaves a gap, TFTCSL Cheers from diggers09.
After we decided which road we should head south on (we cache without maps) we headed down the road hopefully towards two caches. Being late in the day we were hoping for some photo opportunities and weren't disapointed. What had been a wet day turned into a magical time as the sun broke through just before setting. What a great area to be at this time of the year. SL TFTC
Cute name for the cache, but needs maintenance as the lid is very broken. An honour to do this tribute cache.

Found on a caching queen's birthday long weekend, we feel for your loss of Benjamin, we had to bury two of our daughters also, it's very painful, one doesn't expect to bury ones own children, TFTC SL oh and by the way the cache is falling apart and very wet.
Found while out on a caching adventure with some Adelaide Hills Geocachers.

I hadn't read the description for this cache as we hadn't planned to come this far North today; But the first thing I read upon opening the cache, was the message on the inside of the lid. We are truly sorry for your loss, and can only hope that the passage of time has helped heal in some small way.
In regards to the cache itself, unfortunately it could do with a bit of TLC, as the lid is cracked and it's no longer sealing.
Thanks mabar.

Found it, right where we thought is should be but not were looking until the end.
I am also sorry for your loss,as a motorcyclist I know the dangers but sounds as if he was happy in his work. The cache is wet again but I have drained it and turned it upside down hoping to stop the rain that must be gathering in the container.tftc

Looked and looked in all the obvious places, the paint tin, under the rocks that others had moved, under the bark, but to no avail. Perhaps it was the 46degree heat that beat us.

Chuck & Corinnes 3rd Cache for the after footy drive, thanks for this easy drive by with a sad story but great views.
the container was very wet, so we emptied it out and dried the contents with a towel, it was also really easy to spot, so we put a few more bits of bark over it to keep the rain out and being easerly seen

It was raining and windy as we turned into the Old Adelaide Rd, and yet when we arrived at GZ it miraculously cleared and a rainbow arced across the sky. Lovely and fresh and peaceful. TFTC

A sad story, especially as I'm only just over a year older than he was.
As we pulled onto the road, the rain came down and I had the wipers on full. By the time that we got to GZ the sun was out. Go figure?
A nice easy find once at GZ, in an area that I hadn't visited before.
