Glorious Autumn weather had us boiling the billy in the beautiful Colin Thiele gardens in Eudunda for morning tea and cooking a delicious BBQ at Burra Gorge in the Worlds End Conservation Park for our lunch.During our travels we saw kangas, emus and several goats and thoroughly enjoyed the scenery in the Hallelujah Hills and along the ridge tops. Many thanks for the hide mabar
Had to detour off the main trail to grab this one today as it filled a requirement for my Well Travelled challenge. Phew! Glad for a great road and an easy find on this one today..Day 13 of our Great Leap Forward leap year Mega trip of 2024. Caching today with GLISS! Always wonderful to be travelling across the country enjoying the amazing scenery and caching along the way. Main focus for this trip has been to tidy up the last couple of counties needed in Victoria and make a serious dent in the South Australian ones. Plus a few days in Adelaide enjoying the mega fun. A hot dry trip this time around. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining these caches so we can enjoy the game.
Camping at Worlds End and nipped into Burra with travellin Bees and GTA to the butchers and a few caches!. Travelled through the many gates to clear these of the map. Nice quick find here, TFTC
Out with the Burra crew eating breakfast collecting caches and camping.

An early morning was planned with gridge98 and LíB heading north to grab caches along the way not knowing where we would end up. We had a fun day and found ourselves in Morgan for some lunch before heading back via some out of the way caches that we all hadn't been to. [^]
Really enjoyed the drive out to this one and the other two we found in the area.
Thanks for the cache mabar.

Today I headed north with JJ52 and LíB for a half day of caching, we first completed the new tour down under series before heading towards Morgan then back around via Robertown a total of 41 for the day.

Tried out the new suzuki along a few back tracks today collecting this one along the way, very dry and dusty spotted a kangaroo or two and a few lizards including a monitor and dragon, cache was found in good condition in the obvious spot.

Enjoyable drive getting to this cache. Lots of gates opened and closed by hevwalker who was startled by a very real looking spider in the cache.

Found on a great day out in the mid north with Gizmos Gang and hevwalker!! We started in the Brookfield Conservation Park ..... worked our way up to Morgan and across to Burra via the backroads near Worlds End. We then ended up in Hallett as the sun was setting. Absolutely perfect weather and we did some outstanding caches, saw some great scenery and visited some historic spots.
The weather conditions we perfect to tackle this cache ..................... quickly located on arriving at the GZ. Great fun!!!

Alice trip 2017. Day 3. My third day of lone travel and it took me from Renmark to Burra via Barmara. A real mixture of caches today, including a great walk by the banks of the murray near the border. The last caches of the day were in the most interesting area. The reserve is well worth a visit. Even driving directly into the sun !
Thanks.

Quick and easy find.
Found while exploring some back roads in the Mid North!
The track looks like a creek bed from all the water which Burra received a couple weeks ago.

Quick find. The Kelly Gang GPS said we were on Government Dam Rd. My GPS said there was a Government Dam ahead. After finding the cache we drove past the Government Dam...

Found while camping at Burra Gorge nice little drive could be interesting if wet. One young goat will be appreciative of your caches location. Had its head stuck in the fence nearby so assisted in freeing it.
On the way back to PTA from the riverland
A Quick detour for the Geolux
Rain hadnt caused too much trouble with access (a few puddles) and the Lux remained reasonably clean
Big Mob feral goats near the cache

A very enjoyable drive for our Tiida. Great to get off the beaten track and get a good look into the countryside. Luckily the weather was kind t us. SL TFTC
Found this cache in very poor condition. Replaced the container and added a few new boy things to the stash. TFTC
Nice drive through the hills, easy to find definitely need a 4X4 if its wet.
This cache needs a new lid, it is broken and water will get in next time it rains.

In much need of maintenance. I found the cache all over the place. Collected most of it back together and put a few rocks on top but seems like it succumbedto animals.
Cheers from the Posspet Boys

Its even wet in summer so I was lucky it had dried out a bit, great drive , pity about the goats.tftc
Oh, NOW we read the bit about using a 4WD in winter! . Not to worry, with no rain for the last few days we had no problems getting here. Didn't quite get the name - but we did see what might've once been a railway line nearby [?]. Rescued the TB. TFTC.
Found on the way home from a weekend's caching in the Burra area. The cache was a little damp and exposed. Dropped of "Marvin" the Track-a-bear to continue his galactic adventure after draining out the water then added a little camouflage.
On the way home from Burra, we came into this one via Gordon Lagoon on a great , almost non existent bush track. Saw heaps of wild life both native and feral.

Followed the well graded road along from 'Bling! Bling!'
As with the last cache, this one too was damp inside . Poured the water out before signing the log.
TNLNSL.
Thanks once more mabar .
PS. We headed North from here and the road deteriorated significantly.

Glad that it hadn't rained and the grader passed this way not long back, made things much easier than might have been.

The drive/slide from Bling Bling to Ding Ding certainly tested the Rav4's mudplugging ability. It's so much fun driving these light AWD's, they just float across things [^]
I did the drive up the drain as well but got to GZ eventually.
Cheers, TNLNSL.

I really shouldn't say much about this one and Bling Bling as trying to get the GeoCommodore down the "tracks" to these caches was damn near impossible.... Should have been impossible but we did it.... Thank god it hadn't rained and didnt rain while we were there otherwise could have been really interesting....!!!!!!!!!!!! At least we can cross these two off of our list... Thanks Mabar for the cache, the view and the exhilarating drive to say the least..... Glad I did both at the same time...!!

Did what everyone had done and followed the drain to the dam then went cross country and found the track and the cache. Thanks mabar
Final find of 33 for the days drive to Worlds End. No problems with the decoy road today. Great sunset. Thanks mabar. Dropping in some TB's for a visit.
An easy find when your not actually on the road-well sometimes the graded drains look a lot like roads; sometimes.

Found this one after following what we thought was the track and turned out to finish in the middle of nowhere at the dam nearby. Left a clamp and took some chuck keys. TFTC
Continued on past Bling Bling to get its cousin, Ding Ding. We had none of that with us either, so made no swaps. Cheers Mabar

Approached this one from the south. Plenty of roos about even in the middle of the day. The property down the road is called 'Worlds End' but it felt more like 'middle of nowhere' TFTC enjoyed the drive.
Our 200th cache! And Mr matmob wasn't even here to see the men's stuff! Never mind, we enjoyed the drive anyway. TNLN, TFTC
Found it easily thanks to Matmob and her brilliant driving. How is the underneath of that car?????????? Took air freshener, left a level. Great views, even saw a mob of emus on the way there. Now geokid knows she needs to shut the car door when going thru gates too....
Between this one and Bling bling, it put the crazy frog song into our heads, another easy find, but well worth driving through this beautiful area.

No seriously - I will forgive you - someday !

Well, the same longitude as the Bling Bling was interesting. So up the huge huge hill and what could we see! We saw a speeding Postie rushing toward the GZ we were 3m away from! Hehe!! But alas, the cache was elusive and still a no find under the pressure of the whistle bearing fluro coloured Postie closing in.
Nothing.
Zip. And no, that’s not slang for postcode either.
After a while, we contacted Mabar who realised the typo. Pity, same longitudes of 2 nearbys is interesting.
So off we trotted to the spot we had a description of. That’s right. That’s all we had. Picture this in your head boys and girls.
We got to the spot and started looking. All 20 of us!!
No find. Nothing. Zip.
A brainwave. Clever AstroSue. Realizing the longitude was wrong, but the Lat might be correct, the GPS was used just like it was in the old days. No arrow mode. No pointer. GeoMaps were only in our dreams. Just numbers. Walk the line to match the lat numbers up with the published coords. Daks mode some call it.
Now this is geocaching [^][^]
WaLa! Bingo! Just like star hopping in the old days before the GoTo telescopes were invented. Finding the prize the good ‘ol fashioned way sure does make you feel good. A special FTF! For TeamAstro. A special mention for Postie’s encouragement. ……Whistle Blower’s Award [?]
The adventure will be finished when the car is cleaned. Mud – Yuk.
Mabar, - watch out for PostieGirl. Give her a wide berth on Monday .. or whenever!!!
clear skies, yer, right. TeamAstro.

You gotta love a 2.8 km typo - Coz it was worth every bit of the view! Hey mrs mabar - perhaps you could add the Original GZ as a 'Point of Interest' - Love your Work !
