Instant find (coordinates were dead-on , great place even though we couldn´t enjoy the view due to the fog. Box sadly reminded of Queensland - it was half under water. Drained it as best as we could.

This was our start of the 6h hike into the valley of waters and to the Wentworth Falls. Thanks for showing us the place! In: "Catch me if you can--and drop me"-Coin #1017
A short stroll, which tried the knees of the WaywardWoman, saw us arriving at GZ. A short search and the WaywardWoman turned it up. We had some good views back to Kings Tableland, where we had just been for another cache. The cache had water in it so we drained it and dried it as best we could, but we had to cut this short when we heard muggles on the track behind us. Thanks again.
I found this one after a brief search trying to narrow down which? tree exactly. The knees had certainly had a bit of a work out after this one.... but wait... there's more to come!! TFTC
Very well-placed cache. Keep up the extremely good work! PS... Look around for bones, there's plenty. TFTC
A day in the mountains doing a few bush caches and this was the first for the day. This was a pleasant stroll down to the cache at 7.30am.
The view below and out to the valley looked really nice. If I recall, thats the start of empress canyon just below GZ.
Thanks

Fairly easy cache to find. Was raining, but had no trouble. The stairs back up are hell, lol
Logged this one a while ago, but got it confused with Sublime Point in Leura. Woops! ACTUALLY found it today, and it was lovely TFTC

Thanks for bringing a couple of Canadian tourists from the Ottawa area by here today. Took a Smiley pin and left some Canadian swag. SL. Inkyfiller &"Chick".
We had already been up and down a lot of stairs around the mountains today, but this one seemed OK on paper. I finally reached the rock, without MrsFish who had had enough steps, when the GPS decided it had also had enough, so all I had was the view, with no coords or signal. Out of nowhere Cachefinders2 arrived, so heaps of thanks to them or we'd have to come back later. A great time to meet the enthusiastic 2 Cachefinders. TNLN, thanks for the hide, but put the next one on level ground!
Quick find this morning on the way to the Autumn Event at Wentworth Falls Lake.
Great walk in and perfect views whilst at GZ.
Cache was a little damp inside.
Thanks for bringing me here.

Forgot to mention in my logged visit the other day that the container was fairly damp, although the log book was OK. We tried to dry things out in the sun but didn't have any tissues, etc., to achieve a better drying job. Noticed that several others writing in the log book also mentioned the dampness. Don't quite know why this is happening, because the container is intact and the spot sheltered. Maybe after heavy rains this cache spot floods. If we go back, will bring some means of drying the container. And it's certainly a spot worth returning to . . .
Longish walk to beautiful spot. Didn't see any 'Bird of Paradise' flies, though! Found without any particular difficulty.
Out for a walk around Wentworth Falls today, great walk down to Edinburgh Castle Rock. Took Rivers TB and left Shafahualpa TB. Unfortunately I left My bag of swaps at home Doh!
Took nothing else, signed log. Somehow the cache was still very wet, I dried it as well as I could and should be OK now (I hope). Very busy corner of the world this so beware of Muggles.
Great cache and even greater location, loved it.

Really enjoyed the rock formation, as well as the views, dried out the cache, but made no trades, thanks for the cache
Found 11:30 am with Daniel 2:22. The cache had quite a bit of water in it, however the logbook was dry. Tipped out the water and as it was a warm sunny morning dried out all the contents while admiring the strange rock formations of Edinburgh Rock nearby. Took Fathers Day TB and left Rivers TB. TFTC
oops! forgot to log this one. Went with the kids - the cache was quite wet. Dried as best possible. TFTC
A very nice bush setting for cache. Thank you for information supplied. Taken TB / left TB fathers day TFTC / TFTH / SL
We found this on a group walk this morning. More great views of the Blue Mountains along the walk we took - the basic circuit from the conservation hut. Took coin, left dice and TB.

Nice little walk and great view. We had an oopsy with a rubber ball from the cache.... it is now a little bit lower in the valley than it was before.... Sorry.
Found the cache easily. Great location. The cache had water in it and the contents were damp. gave it a clean out. Took magnet smily and left a finger puppet. PANDSA
Mr Stilllookin was out riding in the area and decided to today was the day to pop in and get this cache. This is a lovely area.
Thanks for the cache.

First of a few caches while visiting Blue Mountains this weekend. Nice walk to a location I would not have otherwise known about. Log book bag was a bit damp - tried to dry out as much as possible. TNLN.

On a wet and misty day I set out to do Mayo, Valley of Waters and then on to Scottish rock. Did not even know there was a route around from Leura (Grand cliff top track). Very interesting track with spectacular crossing of the gouge at Lillian’s Bridge as a highlight. Joined the Nature Track detoured to Valley of the Waters then returned and Found the cache atop the castle with some searching. Saw and heard a flock of Golden whistlers and continued round to Conservation Hut. Thanks Banksia777 for a number a of fun caches which kept me challenged this week
Up in the mountains for the annual 1st Austinmer Rover Crew Winter Solstice caynyoning trip. Tonight's canyon was Empress canyon.
I'd headed up to the mountains early to get in a cache or two, this was my second to find for the afternoon. No bushwalkers to worry about today as the weather was cold, wet and foggy. So no views either, but at least finding the cache was some consolation.
Took GC, signed log and then moved on.
best wishes,
Wal

Enjoyed the walk down the trail in the late afternoon. Valleys were filled with mist and looked gorgeous. Didn't take too long to find the cache. Signed the log without another soul around.

On the way to the event 'Autumn Caching in the Bluies' we decided to get this cache. At the spot where to park the car, the area was crowded with Ambulances and Police Rescue vehicles. Obviously some bush walking women had broken her ankle in the vicinity of the cache. We walked down to the Scottish Rock, but did not see anyone, but on our way back we heard the Rescue Helicopter hovering over the area.
The cache was a bit wet, but we tried to dry it as good as possible. Took a yellow horse, left a lanyard.

Found with Blossom*, Ropes, Jumbuck. This is a lovely location, but no feathertail flies today. TFTC
This was a great spot and with so many experienced cachers around, I didn't have to use my brain too much at all Thanks to team *socks*, ropes and jumbuck for the company and to banksia777 for the cache
nice walk down, brilliant views. Got a little lesson about feather tail flys by Banksia 777 himself. Lovely man.
Thanks.
Thanks.
We did this cache as a try out for the new GPSr.
I must say it will take a bit of getting used to. Will just have to do a few more caches I guess. The most disconcerting thing was when the GPSr said Zero metres to the cache, I was literally standing on it. With the old GPSr (Garmin 12XL) it was just an indication that we were within 20 Metres or so, and time to start looking for likely spots.
The cache was somewhat damp, so we removed the CD as its cover was falling apart. We will replace the cover and move it on. Also took DaisyTB
Left nothing as we hadn't intended doing any swaps.
Mr Darcy & [:X][:X][:X]Lizzie[:X][:X][:X]
PS the track is still closed just past the cache, so come in from West St for now.

Great little walk through the 'jungle'. Wonderful location! Thanks for this cache!
Yet another really cool view in the Blue Mountains that we would have missed without doing geocaching. Thanks for placing a cache at this spot and to our excellent driver Lerche35 for getting us close to the location with a super clean windshield of the rental car.
Yet another cache on this glorious Blue Mountain geocaching adventure with lerche35 and co! Out GC.
This was the fourth cache in the Blue Mountains on that day and again one with an unbelievably great view. The location and the surroundings are really wonderful. Thanks for hiding the box and to my four colleagues for joining me in this trip. Dellaert took the coin.
We had taken off to do the loop 'Valley of the Waters' to the bottom of Wentworth Falls. Having stayed in Edinburgh Castle (and played there) in the early 70's, decided that we had to do this cache.
A great spot but had trouble picking the similarities. Rock type was close though.
Dropped off CD and GC.
Thanks for bringing us here.

Excellent walk along Nature Track from Lilian's Bridge (currently closed). Cache was quickly found with coords very spot on. Took TB to Tasmania.
On a bushwalking/caching holiday in the Blue Mountains. Not being a local and familiar with the local walking tracks parked at the end of Victoria St and bush bashed down the hill until stumbling across the track. After this was a pleasant walk to GZ. Bit of a hunt, coordinates seemed a little out, but found it eventually. TNLN, thanks.
Our last cache for the day but certainly not the least! We really enjoyed the walk to GZ and took plenty of picky's of the great rock formations nearby, Thanks for bringing us here Took nothing out left TB TFTC
Grabbed this one at the start of a series of three caches for the day. This was a nice easy cache and a great spot too.. Having lived in the Blue Mountains for over 30 years and never being in this spot tells me to get out more as its so close to the main road but also such a beautiful area. Signed the log and moved on down to Valley of the waters, Vera falls and Hippocrene Falls. I have been down there before but that was over 15 year ago.. Its gonna be a good day.

Enjoyed the walk to the place and continued down the Valley of the Waters. There were beautiful waterfalls down there and people canyoning down one of them.
I only found one TB, which I picked and replaced with the Tarantino TB. Also dropped a DVD with Linux Fedora on it.

Down the 440 steps to a great location, picked up the spoon TB and retraced the 440 steps, thinking, do we go across to the nearby cache while we are 770m away .. NO. Left an Aussie icon keyring in the cache.
Fabbo views and I really want to go back there and do the other cache nearby on a day when I have more time - maybe even do some canyons????
Took some deodorant - yes I was feeling a little whiffy and also took a retractble elastic thingy - just what I needed.
Left a cat eraser, party noise makers and a pen.
Also dropped off the Thredbo Spoon TB.

Great walk. For those interested, parking & walking to the cache and back you will encounter a total of 880 steps, 440 each way - yep Burkie counted them on the way down and we both counted them on the way back.

The chilly morning weather meant we had the place to ourselves and soon the cleverly hidden cache was revealed. We thought going by the cache name we would find a bunch of Bay City Rollers stuff but sadly, no. Sat and waited and waited but no flies appeared apart from the common bush fly and some other bugs so we left for warmer location.

Dropped in on a beautiful autumn day. We passed about 40 people struggling up the path as we headed in. Easy find at the rock and we spent a little time there taking in the nice view. Fascinating how the sandstone here has been shaped and sculptured by the elements.
Noticed the cache had a previous vistor today - would have liked to have met them. Another time perhaps.
We made no swaps today. Nice cache banksia777 - thanks.

BAM! A virgin find!
I can't believe that I didn't notice this one earlier. I'll just put it down to a busy week. But after a message from Webguy on Friday, it was on my radar scope and in my sights.
Saturday morning arrived fresh and clear and a day of caching began to look good. We were going to meet up with Team Webguy at Mt Victoria for a bit of a day trip and some tupperware hunting.
In early morning discussion with Mrs Wally I mentioned that this cache was still unfound and unloved....
Hey! Where'd she go???
HEY!!! WAIT FOR ME!!!!
Before you could say "I love the smell of diesel in the morning!" the trusty Pajero was rumbling up the driveway and off to bag this early morning find.
Arriving at the car parking area on West Street we headed off on foot. It's a nice walk down to the GZ but there are a LOT of stairs! The path is fairly narrow in places and the early morning dew on the ferns and undergrowth meant that by the time we arrived at the GZ we were drenched!
It's a very impressive view from here and I am surprised that we had never been here before! The view looking down the valley in the early morning light is STUNNING.
On to the business at hand... A quick search turned up a very nicely hidden cache and the swaps were made without delay.
Took - Tape measure thing
Left - Katie's World Cup Traveler GeoCoin.
A phone call to Team Webguy was made and we waited for them to arrive to bag position #2 in the log book.
Thanks banksia777 for bringing us here!
Oh yeah... We never saw any of the Feathertail Fly while we were there... Webguy reckons that the stairs killed 'em all...

We were to meet Where's Wally at One Tree Hill and depart from there, but a phone call showed they had been hunting virgins. What to do, oh heck, join em. We arrived to find the black Paj parked on a weird angle with the doors flung open, motor still running and footprints in the wet grass. Weird!
We wandered down to Scottish Rock, it's a path I have been down a few times as we start the canyon trip not far past here where we enter the creek for the top section. I let the boy duck ahead with the GPS while I waited for the ladies to wander down. He was off the mark by a few mtrs and I found it easily while Wally and wife looked on from over there. I really liked the hide, just brilliant!!
Dropped a coin, but it's already been logged out of my possession so can't actually drop it in to log it's miles up. Love this spot, the mist was thick down in the distant valley, something I have not been up here often to see so it was nice.
Cheers
