### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED PLEASE** ###
----------
Hi there lochb,
This cache has been flagged by Geocaching HQ as a cache that **MAY** need some attention.
You may recall having received an automated email from Geocaching HQ which explained what you needed to do.
Unfortunately, nothing seems to have happened, so I am having to take the next step and temporarily disable the cache - see here: [**Geocache Health Score.**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713)
**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) within 14 days,** so others know exactly what is happening with this cache?
You have lots of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:
- Check on the cache, repair and/or replace the cache or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.
- If you really hope to get it fixed but there is some unusual reason why you can't do it soon, then at least post a Write Note log (within 14 days). Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. For ongoing issues (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days so as to keep everyone up to speed.
- If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when I next look at the cache page, it is likely that I will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) it on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide, so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

CO might want to check this cache, given it hasn't been found in 1.5 years
Legoman9x wanted to get the cache before we head home. I gave a brief look before i gave up (leaking pipe made the area wet and muddy)
Right coordinates. Gz 20 mins dodging traffic and smelling sweetly but a DNF today. Lots of autumn leaves, beer bottles and house parts but no cache
I'd headed to Melbourne on the 5th May for a weekend stay to see Priscilla: Queen of the Desert
Instead there was a mammoth change in my plans when the Corolla suddenly needed new brakes [xx(] which led to needing new tyres [^] which led to needing a new wheel bearing [xx(]
So a weekend turned into almost 3 full weeks and my HUGE thanks to the very patient and tolerant kmace who not only provided accommodation for myself but also for Rex [:X][:X]
Having your home invaded by a rabid geocacher who gets irritated when they have no car to go and find caches because it is in the workshop [xx(] and a pup who shreds his toys all over the house is not an easy ask for a day or two: let alone 20 odd days! [:X]
Rex also loved the beaches and the seagulls so there were many walks on the beach, some in pouring rain and gusting winds but that's what being a dog owner is about [^]
During this time some fantastic caches were found and some adventures occurred [^]
My thanks to all of the COs for the fun and the finds [^]
Days 12 and 13 of the trip and the cache run on the 16th continued up until 2am on the 17th [^][|)] by which time 13 geocaches had been attempted and only 1 DNF occurred so that meant 12 finds were made.
What made day 11 really special for me was that I drove to Deer Park on the other side of Melbourne to see my sister [^]
She had unloaded and reloaded the semi she was driving from and back to Adelaide and so while she was waiting to be able to leave and start homewards, we grabbed KFC for lunch and then found No Swimming together [^] Hell of a great way to start a day's cache run! [:X][^]
Then in the afternoon of the 17th, 5 caches were found while Rex had a wonderful time doing the Langy Circuit as he got to play with a variety of lovely dogs as we wandered from cache to cache [^]
Keep your distance is something that I've often heard I'm just a touchy feely kind of person, it seems
Loved finding this cache as it left me smelling my hands in glee for hours afterwards
Cache density and proximity rings can be useful at times

Went at a bad time of day so couldn’t search much (3pm- peak hour traffic and lots of muggles), but I’ll be back! Am proud for solving the puzzle though, it’s my first Mystery cache!
Must have solved this one a while ago, perhaps while attempting monthly mystery challenge. Found it after a relatively short search. TFTC
I actually found this quite easy to solve, maybe I didn't even try previously because I struggled on the other version.
This was on BendSinister's list of solved mysteries to pick up, but once we arrived at GZ it was quite the search. Eventually BS made the find - we've found three or four of these today, it's the theme of the day!
Thanks

I solved this puzzle while I was still more or less a newcomer to this malarkey, but the cache was almost immediately disabled for an extended period. It must now have become my oldest bit of unfinished business! Unlike "(2)" the solution was derived quite quickly, I seem to recall. These many centuries later jimbo_80 and I found ourselves in the vicinity so had a bit of a look at GZ. It wasn't a particularly swift transaction, but the wee cache was eventually spotted more or less where we started searching in the first place. Phew! Thanks lochb!
Found it after CITO event.
Now heading to next event in Northcote.

Amazed everyone, especially myself, and solved this correctly. So I was able to find the cache. Woo Hoo.
Out with OHC getting some essentials for the upcoming Yarra Expedition. Not sure how long we will last as it is certainly rather warm.
This took a lot longer than it should have. We searched all over the place before locating the hide. Our coords were all over the place which didn't help. Must have been the heat. Thanks for the cache

Initially looked at gz and thought this could take a while but soon had the blighter in hand.. tftv
I wasn't sure I should pick this up after it recently got Casanova'd. But thankfully the welder is a good sort of person, and there was little to concern me. I solved the puzzle fairly easily, which was pleasing. I recently decided to aim for one puzzle solution a day, and I'll flick to my list of dates and puzzles .... bear with me... ahah! 3rd of October was this puzzle's day.
Pick up was fast and easy due to picking a quiet time of day. Thank you for the puzzle.

Construction has finished - the location is more exposed than in the past, so cache is hidden in a slightly different way.

I heard a little loving was needed here, so I arrived with all the charms of a geo-Cassanova.
However, the object of my affection clearly said, "Keep your distance"!!
I wrote down my name and number, more in hope than anything else as I doubt she will call me. And as I left, I quickly stole a peck and that was enough to clear away any unlove.
Thanks lochb. Having battled with the second in this series nearly a year ago, I was quite surprised to arrive at the solution to this one so readily. A fun puzzle and an enjoyable find. But I wouldn't necessarily suggest to others to come at this time of day...

The building construction has finished, and there is a new fence. Cache will be back in place over the next two weeks.
The houses are nearly complete, but the fence is still temporary. I hope to be able to replace the cache in the next month - there is no point in doing this now as it will just disappear with the new fence installed.
Will check out the location on Friday and replace if the fence is back up. Construction of a multi-story building does take a bit of time.
Waiting for the fence to be replaced when the construction is complete. Another month or two?
Still rethinking the location ... construction work is ongoing, so waiting for the temporary fence to become a permanent fence to replace this cache.
The building next door has been demolished and a new construction seems to be about to start.
The cache was uncovered but just behind the footing for the temporary fence.
With a bit of a shuffle Ruverbug Jam soon had the cache in hand.
This one requires urgent attention.
The container is not weather proof. The box had water in it, as did the bag.
The covering rock has been removed. The building is about to be replaced
> Needs Maintenance.

Drove past today - the building is indeed gone! Will disable until I find a better spot.
After going down to the You Yangs event with n0w0rries we somehow ended up at this location (with the solved puzzle) on the way to pick up my car in a neighbouring suburb.
The building that was next to where this cache is located is no longer there, and the rock is no longer on top of the cache, no where to be seen actually, but the cache sort justseems to blend in to it's current environment by a) being behind temporary fencing and b) looking like a piece of rubbish. The log was so wet that it was difficult to etch our names onto without tearing the paper. Log should probablt be replaced and cache moved slightly.

One of the first puzzles that I ever solved, it has been sitting waiting for an opportunity to collect.
Well, the building next door has been demolished and a new construction seems to be about to start.
The cache was uncovered but just behind the footing for the temporary fence.
With a bit of a shuffle Ruverbug Jam soon had the cache in hand. The box had water in it, as did the bag.
If it wasn't a write-in-the-rain log we would not have been able to sign it at all.
It was so wet we actually plastered it onto the wall to support it as we made our mark.
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache lochb.

NDF, there seems to be construction going on at the moment, so I'm unsure if this is still active. Great puzzle, my surveyor partner got mad at it, but I really enjoyed it. Could you please confirm if this is still active so I can go back and look again if it is?
Solved the puzzle last night and collected the find thanks to the hint. Left GZ a little mozzie bitten though TFTC and the puzzle
After being away in the caravan for couple of weeks, watered the garden, then get ready to head up to Casey Fields for the Mega you just have to grab a few on the way.
I have had this solved for a very long time but never in the area to look but today was the day.
Parked further away than I should have but on arriving at GZ I followed the hint and was a little worried because the hedge had recently trimmed but all was well.
Thanks lochb for another mystery to add to my tally.

I admit i got help from my students on this one, but in the end the smiley is done and the cache was found in the first place i looked.

We searched for so long in the wrong spot. When I stepped back to take a better look and see how the hint fit it all fell into place. The puzzle was simple and fun but I am a bit stuck with the second of this series. If anyone could help I would appreciate it. TFTC
Solved this one a few months ago but only just got around to getting to GX to find the cache. GPS had been wandering around a bit, but hint helped me quick zero in on the hide.
A nice little puzzle, quite easy to solve – I’m stuck on Keep Your Distance (2) – any hints for solving the distance travelled on that one????

After work I came by to make my 1st find for Mystery May and get my souvenir for the 15th year of geocaching. Cache was water logged but log in bag was dry. There is a weed/plant growing right in front and it's of the spiny - prickly variety. Took longer to extract myself from it and had a few awkward spines poking me while I signed. Tftc
A quick find in between traffic. This was an easy solve...struggling to make geochecker happy with #2. There is a yappy dog on other side of the fence and it's a good idea to wear long pants...there are some serious prickles about. Thanks for all the work.
Hello, anyone able to nudge me in the correct method for solving this puzzle? I have never been a maths nut
Find #718
I looked at this puzzle earlier in the week and it seemed pretty straight forward. I ran a few numbers and soon had the green light from the geochecker. The weather wasn't looking great today so I headed out with Geobaby to pick up three solved puzzles instead of a more intensive caching run. No problems with the find here and we took a seat nearby to sign. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log. Thanks for a fun puzzle and for the cache lochb. As others have noted the log is wet so I signed the replacement paper which is also a bit wet know. Not so good for me on the second one in the series yet so I'll keep working on that.

The Drovers and Mrs Crackers decided that early on New Years day would be a good day to tackle some city caches and this one was on the way in.
We had sorted this one out a little time ago but hadn't had the opportunity to look for it until now.
The barking dog was a bit of a distraction but not too long after the cache was located and we were signing the log
Thanks lochb for the cache.

Being New Years day, we thought the city would be quite, so we headed in with Mrs Crackers.
A little help was required to solve the puzzle, and were able to park close by.
The dogs next door, let everyone know that we were there, but no one came to check us out.
As per the previous log, the logbook was water logged, and we signed on the piece of paper
that they kindly left. Many thanks for placing this cache, lochb, for us and others to find.

Love these puzzle caches. Last stop on my morning walk to GZ and an easy find. Log is saturated. Signed on scrap of paper already left by previous finder. TFTC locb.
Logbook was ruined due to water damage, but signed on a separate piece of paper.
Cache quite waterlogged!!! Rust developing too! Logbook quite damp too. Definitely needs maintenance! TFTC
The cache was full of water (which I emptied). The log was soaked and was very difficult to remove without tearing. Some of the contents is rusting!
Had fun working this one out. Today I managed to get out and find it. I had to empty the water out of the cache hence the log is soaked and some of the contents rusting. Probably needs the CO to have a look at it. TFTC.
I had worked this one out a while ago (unlike the second one) but hadn't bothered to come and get it until today when I was grabbing a few caches nearby with nedcj. The cache was easily in hand after we got to GZ and we were soon off to find our next cache. TFTC
My very first puzzle cache! Found on a n early Melbourne winter morning. TFTC
Having an hour to kill whilst geokid had underwater hockey training we decided to have a look for a puzzle. Sitting poolside in a hot muggy pool, we desperately needed a distraction. This was just the ticket and was fairly quickly solved thanks to a stray receipt in the bottom depths of my bag aka the tardis. Persuaded a tired geokid to get out the car so off we went. Thankfully it was late, cold and muggle free. Spot on coords led us straight to it, thankfully. Quickly signed and long drive home to Geelong after an eventful few caches in melb prior to training. Tftc.

Had solved this before arriving from Christchurch NZ (still can't get the numbers correct for KYD2 ) so wanted to find this as we were in the area and could get a park for our campervan which we were returning and trade for a rental car to do more caching. In some of our local Chch areas, cache density is at saturation point. Thanks for this interesting puzzle cache.

Sunday morning brought me here , to listen to the singing of the nearby church as I passed by , quick find TFTC and thanks for her puzzle
I arrived in Melbourne very late yesterday evening and after a good nights sleep and a delicious breakfast I went out to find a bunch of geocaches (and let them show me the sights and teach me about history of the city). After crossing the Yarra River I continued past the impressive Eureka Tower and headed towards the Royal Botanic Gardens and the Observatory. My trip continued through Fawkner Park and to South Yarra. I had solved a mystery and wanted to do a Wherigo in Hawthorn, so I took a Metro train there. Finally I headed back towards downtown and ended the day by finding the cache at Banana Alley just across the street from my hotel. I had a great time and got a very good impression of Melbourne!
This mystery was solved shortly before my departure from Denmark. This cache was found at 15:23.
Thanks for the hide and greetings from Denmark!

We continued on our merry way through Hawthorn, picking up this one which I had solved many moons ago, but had resolved just the other day after looking at number 2 and failing mightily. Oh well, I'll keep trying. Thanks for the find here, I love these little places, just to sit and watch the world go by.
Removing needs maintenance flag. How can a cache have this flag when no-one ever logged that it needs maintenance?
Thanks lochb for this interesting little problem. My first. Still working on KYD2. Cache a little wet.
Found this on my ride home tonight, enjoying a lovely late spring afternoon. This was the second "solved ages ago but not yet found" puzzle cache I finally completed tonight and I will admit that I enjoyed tackling this clever little problem. Well done and thanks to lochb.
This is a nice part of town. I quite enjoy passing through it and while I was, I stopped off and found this cache. Getting a car park was the hard part. The log book is a little damp. Thanks Lochb.
The puzzle was solved in minutes and today we went to find the cache before spending money at Ikea. The cache was found quickly. There was a little pool of rain water in it. We tried it carefully and it should be alright.

I have had this one solved for a while and today was the today to collect for an August Souvenir. Having looked at the coordinates on Google Maps some time ago, I crossed to the wrong side before realising my error and then crossed towards GZ. Sat and waited for the appropriate time to collect and then quickly had the cache in hand. Sat and signed and then returned when no one was aware.
Thanks for the cache, lochb. Still working on the harder #2, but a friend has given me a nudge and I think I will have it soon.

Nice quick find after an intriguing puzzle. Swapped the car for a few knick-knacks, as geokid 2 was with me and he always goes for cars. It was only later I realised it was a travel bug. My first trackable too.
Took some explaining to geokid 2 as to why he can't keep it, but he's fascinated by the whole trackable thing now! Will lodge a separate note on the trackable site. TFTC

#767 - 11:10; Solved this puzzle a week or so back on the off chance I might be able to make the find while I was in this area for a meeting. Turned out there was time available between appointments, and after a short walk, the cache was quickly in hand. Dropped a TB for the next catcher to keep moving in its race. TFTC lochb
The maths for this one wasn't difficult, it was confusing. After carefully reading the question, the coordinates were quickly inserted. TFTC.
Solved this one at home this morning with a little bit of mathematics and a little brute force logic... but then again, I guess logic is a big part of mathematics Did my usual arrogant thing of not using the GeoChecker but found GZ with no issues. Thanks for this sneakily hidden cache!
What better to do on my birthday in another city than go puzzle caching?
Having caught the train to the city, I walked to roughly where I knew GZ was while waiting to get a lock on the GPSr. When it did lock, it read 7 metres - convenient!
Thanks for the fun puzzle.

Find 638 at 22:33. I was out on an evening caching run with Big Blank, Burge and Watermonster. In all we ended up with 16 finds for the night and this was find number 12.
Big Blank had solved the puzzle component of this cache a couple of months back and so it was on our list while we were in the area. We were able to park nearby and after a short walk, we were able to locate the cache relatively easily (although the hint was very helpful!).
Thanks for the cache, lochb!

After life getting in the way of a decent caching run it was great to be out with PantherX, Burge and Water Monster.
This was success number 11 of 15 on this outing.
Thanks lochb

I've had this puzzle solved for some time, and a caching run with Two_Drews following the WWFM event gave me a chance to complete this mystery. The find was made quickly and we sat at the nearby bench to log. I was quite taken with a cute little keyring thing inside, but hadn't brought any trade items out with me. luckily drew had brought his along, so he kindly added a smiley badge and smiley magnet on my behalf.
Thanks for the puzzle here lochb. Not too tricky, but having said that, I ran into a wall trying to solve this caches counterpart. I haven't given up, I'm just resting my brain!

Found while on a caching run with GazaC and (for the first few hours) PeteTheClown. The 17 hour run was bookended by the two WWFM X events in Malvern and Northcote and was completed on foot with an occasional tram ride.
Gaz had done the brain work on this puzzle and I tagged along to sign the logbook, but I intend to have a go at solving this one myself (and it's counterpart). Thanks for the cache lohb.

Along the way to the 2012 Victorian Cache of the Years awards event decided to cache thru the area picking up a few puzzle and other caches which were still to be found.
Solved this one awhile ago, probably over 12 months. Was pleased to be back in the area to finally pick it up. Some how I am still struggling with the sequel to this cache but I'll work it out one day. A nice final GZ and I initially missed the hide on my first scan. TFTC lochb, and for the fun puzzle.

A bit of a later start this morning with my mate, SedgwickDave. The main event today was the Victorian Cache of the year awards event, but we wanted to pick up a few puzzles that had been solved in the Hawthorn area. The weather was looking like it was going to be a scorcher, so probably only morning caches today.
This one had been solved a while ago, but it wasnt until today that we were in the area to come and find it. A nice little puzzle and a nice quick find.
Thanks to lochb for the cache. TNLN.

We picked up a TB that is in a race, wanting to collect points for miles, photos and for being placed in puzzle or event caches. Since one of us was travelling in this direction today, we thought it might be a good idea to place it in this puzzle cache that was quickly solved last night. However, it wouldn't fit into the container and therefore had to continue travelling with us, it could only visit and have its hoto taken.
Thanks for the puzzle and for the cache lochb!

Got the coordinates a while ago and went out today to pick up a few puzzle caches I'd solved but not found yet. Cache log was a bit damp but still signable. TFTC.
I've looked at this puzzle a number of times over the months and couldn't make heads or tails of it. Then one day the proverbial light came on and the location of the cache was in hand quicker than you could say Jack Flash.
This was my first find in Melbourne for this trip.
Thanks for the puzzle and cache lochb

As per my "Found it" log, the cache has been totally "muggled" and is no longer there.
Found it[?] Found the "mortal remains" would be a more accurate description [:(!]. Found the rock the cache was hidden under, found the Log Sheet (which I have signed), found a few swaps but didn't find the cache container. I have taken everything so it can be returned to lochb so there isn't much point anyone else looking for this one until it is re-established.
Managed to solve number 1 at home yesterday, and walked over from Central Gardens with the kids. Took crab, left balloon. Thanks lochb - unfortunately I couldn't get the right numbers for keep your distance 2 as yet, so that will have to wait.
Found this one today. I sat and worked out the puzzle on a seat but the weather was not cooperating so I finished it off in the car and then went on a journey through some of the smaller roads around Auburn etc. I initially found myself on a cobblestone lane but soon realised that I couldn't get to the cache that way and then tried the other way. I found the cache fairly easily that time. I signed the rather full log - I found a place but there is only room for about 6 more names and the plastic ziplock bag seems to have gone AWOL. I took nothing, left nothing and replaced the cache.
Thanks for the challenge and cache lochb.

I've been having a go at a few puzzle caches lately. Having studied a fair bit of maths in my time, I solved this puzzle fairly quickly and the geochecker told me that the co-ords I calculated were correct and that I should go get it. [^] A friend dropped me off near GZ and then continued on to the Central Gardens (the posted co-ords) to take the geobeagles for walkies. The co-ords were spot on so I easily found the hide and then signed the log at 3:45pm.
Took: a tram/bus conductor, Left: a crab. Thanks lochb for the interesting puzzle and cache. It was nice to brush up on my maths. I've passed this little spot many times on my travels to the southern suburbs but never thought about stopping so thanks for the experience. I then headed down to the lovely Central Gardens, where I had a look around before we all headed off to KYD (2).

Finally picking up some of the mysteries I've actually managed to solve... a nice rapid find in the drizzly conditions.
