EPIC CACHE! needs a new note book.Cool Sydney olympics mascot In there!

We looked for this one years ago but was caught out by lack of signal (these were our very new days). Today was a win,.love this walk and a fabulous spot. Absolutely a favourite point too, thanks so much.

Thank you for the trekking experience we walked In a figure 8 and finally found it after lots of scratches and ripped my pants hahahahha

Finally, all the planets aligned, and we hiked to this cache. Mr Unssy had been once before with the cachet who inspired us to cache, but didnt join up till Nov 2007. So weve finally signed the log. Thank Zyrheran for the cache. One of the few D/t of yoursMrs Unssy will get.

Nice walk along this pathway, great bird life this early in the morning. Air smelt fresh and clean, filling the lungs..

It was time for Tuesday Trekking, It was a lovely sunny day, for the trio to go trekking.
Our plan was to meet at Para Wirra, and trek the trails.
There was a lot of trekking up and down the tracks.
The trio found all the targeted caches, before having lunch at the helipad.
Then after a short rest and lunch, we set off for more caches.
There was another trek in the bush, some creek hoping was involved
The cache was soon found and logbook stamped

Today I joined S.A. Sewer Rats and Ttrogg for a Trekking through Para Wirra on a beautiful winter day with clear skies and temperature in the low twenties. There was a helluva lot of up and down along the tracks as well as some serious off track navigation as well We managed to find everyone we tried before stopping for lunch at the helipad. Once the legs had stopped aching what did we do - more trekking up hill and down dale to grab even more caches. More than 10 km walked today but it was worth it.

Time for another walk with several back and forth's across a creek which was thankfully still dry. A quick scramble to GZ and the wonderful cache was found. Loved it.

Today I returned to para wirra after coming here yesterday for a walk near by.
Parked up and made the walk along the creek, arrived and a very cool location, the cache was found and is all in good order for its age

I'd left this one for a cooler day, before the rain comes. The rain comes tonight.

I ventured off the track to get to GZ - a mistake in hindsight. GPS was confusing me for the final few meters, but it all makes sense when you've got the whole picture.

So much loot! I grabbed a TB, signed one of the logs, then entertained myself by reading over ten years of log entries for this one.

Definitely a FP from me; thanks for the adventure Zytheran.

Today with COVID-19 social isolation requirements in effect, jesswrigley and I headed out to Para Wirra Conservation Park for some walking and hiking. There were a fair few people making use of the outdoors, and the last time that we were here, I think we only saw one other vehicle around. We had a walk around the lake, followed by a walk up the MacBeth Track. We then took a short drive, and hiked along the Devils Nose Track to Devils Nose, where there was some great sandstone outcropping. It was then a walk back to the car via a small detour past *The Merchant's War*, which was a great cache. All up, a great day to be outside in the state's national parks!

This was another one of those caches on my target list, just because of the sheer volume of Favourite Points added to this cache! Zytheran locations are already legendary anyway, but to to be a traditional cache with so much praise, well, I didn't want to set my expectations too high. We planned to walk past this cache and do a loop back to the main road, and back to the car. Once we got close, we veed off the track, and had a look. Wow, this location was sweet, and the large cache here was awesome too. No surprise why there were so many FPs to this location, and another one from me. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. I dropped a TB here for onwards future travels. Thanks Zytheran for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

When I got there the cache was almost outside of it's hiding spot and the lid was entirely off the treasure chest. I left it with the lid back on and further back in it's hiding place. A new log book might be an idea too.

This Sunday, we went to Para Wirra Recreational Park for hiking. Free vehicle entry during May as National Parks SA celebrate Para Wirra Conservation Park as the Park of the Month.

We made a detour on the walking trail to find this cache.

Cache was easy to find, considering the size. J went there to grab the chest. Took nothing, left nothing. Signed the log book.

Interesting place and interesting cache. No wonder so many favourite points.

Nice walk in the park with Jack.
No creepy crawlies, a couple of roos, and some bunny poop just by the cache.
I'd have to say this is the easiest Z cache I remember finding, and largest too!
For that I give it a fav point.

We struggled a little with this one because we didn't know where to go, so for those who are driving into the park, park in the Devils nose car park and follow that trail till you hit a trail that says something about a youth hostel.
Take a good pair of shoes.

With a souvenier on offer today for a cache fulfilling specific criteria today, I decided to finally get around to this one which has been on my radar for some time. Entered Para Wirra in the early afternoon and enjoyed a leisurely, short hike to GZ where I quickly found the cache and all the merchant 'treasures', and earned my digital art souvenier. Left a TB in the log book bag and a favourite point. TFTC Zytheran!

What an amazing cache! Perfect for kids. Watch your footing in the cave.
Take a moment to acknowledge Kaurna people and have a look at the sights nearby. I think GZ was used for shelter and keeping warm by the fire.

Just happened to come across it on our adventure walk

We parked the car some 300-odd metres SSE of GZ and set off on the rickety track to the cache. A bit of scouring around at the end before I saw the obvious location. It appears the lids become dislodged, but all is in good condition within. We didn't perform any swaps, nbut I did leave four travel bugs for the next finder to move on.

Awesome cache,one of the best I have found so far - found with snippydismissive, we went bush and made our own path from the road.

Called of work due to rain so took a hike between showers to fill in a missing smiley. Now that is a big cache. Thanks for the hide.

Found it after a false start to the day as it was raining so cancelled work, only thing to do now is go find caches very slippery but worth it, nice hide. TFTC

That was fun. Took the "follow the arrow" approach from Devil's Nose and suffered, had to make it feel like true Z territory. Great place. I guess it'll probably need some more swaps soon, its coming up on 200 finds

Biggest cache we've found so far - the 3 kids thought it was awesome. I think we may have taken the awkward way in, terrain was a little slippery in cold and damp conditions, carrying a almost three year old and with fading light but was worth it in the end. Thank you

School holiday caching with the kids. Struggled through the bush to find this one but the walk back wasn't so bad along the track. Kids loved the hiding hole was full of great swaps. TFTC!

Not too hard to find following a nice trail through the Bush.

Our third one today, this was probably the best one yet

#1785 Well, we made hard work of this one. Parked at the Devil's Nose carpark and started on the track from there. Not having a map we were unsure if this was the right track as the GPSr sure wanted us to go in a different direction. What the heck, we decided to bush bash, so down down down we went, all the while aware of the fact that what goes down must come back up! Not too bad really but with a terrain rating of 2 this clearly was not the recommended way to the cache. Close to GZ we came across a path and followed that to the bountiful treasure! Now for the return - which way to take on the path? Decided on the southerly direction but that was taking us further away from our car so decided to bush bash again. So up up up these aging legs treked til finally the car was reached. On the drive out we saw the track in that we should've started from - not very obvious when driving past and not sure of car parking availability there either. Thanks Zytheran, we enjoyed communing with nature and the exercise.

We had to go this one unguided as phone reception dropped out and we often wondered if we were going the right way. Fortunately we had read the previous logs and had a rough idea where to go. We started at Devils bend car park and followed a track from the first picnic table heading 209 degrees SW. The track isn't overly obvious from the car park. Good luck

Found this great cache.
Parked at Mack creek carpark and followed the trail, which was a great hike.
A bit of smoke blowing through the air, but luckily was coming from else where.

We did not follow a trial. We did not take the easy way. We did not even follow the creek bed. But we found this great cache! At first we were above it, but got below and in. Geokids enjoyed the biggest cache we have found yet! TFTC!!

Beautiful spring day so bush walks and caches were always on the cards.
Cleaning up my unfound list in Parrawirra and this cache came highly
recommended as one to do with the kids.Yep, they loved it alright.
