Coords were spot on for this one! Knew which level I had to get to (Geosenses apparently) and the cache was very quickly found. Lid is indeed getting difficult to open, but it means the log is in pristine condition!Spectacular views indeed, thanks for bringing me here SkyDog!Signed and replaced as found; TFTC!
GPS was playing up a little bit but from the hint realised quickly I was at the wrong level. Started this one from the bottom for a bit of a challenge but wasn’t too bad! Needed a nearby branch to facilitate cobweb clearing and the cache of post dinner goodness was soon in hand. Container getting a little hard to open but log in excellent condition.
I was in the area doing the TFTC series and I spotted this old, large cache. Fatoz and I headed over and parked as close as we could. Fatoz had had enough caching for one day, and stayed in the car. I went to GZ along and spent a bit of time before I spotted the cache. Getting the cache out of there took a while. Lots of spiders webs means lots of spiders, and I was a little concerned about that. But I got the cache anyway, signed the logbook, and returned things back to the way that they were. Except it was hard to replace the spider webs.

So I did initially park up top for this one but couldn't find an appropriate way down.... it seemed like it would be best accessed from the bottom. Then when I got to the bottom, I wondered why I didn't just persist with finding a safe way down.
I followed a big black snake up the mountain which helped me pick my way. At GZ the GPS was good and I made a quick find. I used the contours on the geocaching trails map which helped let me know I was approximately on the right level. A good view from the top!

Long way down for my mum and tutor known as the mum is Karen and the tutor is the geocacher Samantharogers but I happen to be 10 and a very flexible boy so I continued my long quest and when I peak around a corner I see a box yes I found it TFTC thx sky dog
Held my breath with the reckless geokids climbing down the steep boulders but we found it! TFTC!
I spied this Large sized cache and decided it would be a good one to grab! The location looked quite interesting too, but it was a bit of a drive to get here! A long little slither of land with only one road to access it!
I parked and headed into the bush, and then clambered down the rocks to start the search. Took me a while to find the cache, it is VERY well hidden, with just leaf cover on top of it which makes it virtually invisible! I almost stepped onto it which would of been disastrous, but luckily not and then uncovered it.
Thanks Sky Dog! It is certainly quite a large container yet well hidden

Had fun hiking up from the campsite this arvo, and made sure to take a couple of snaps of the sunset before making my way home. The cache is well hidden and in pristine condition TFTC : )
We were a bit wary as we approached GZ, after the problems we had with another cache. However, we found the coords here to be very accurate. In fact, too good to believe. We only gave the nearest hidey hole a quick glance and pondered about dropping down another level, which looked too difficult for us. A closer look at this first location revealed the nicely hidden container. Good one, Sky Dog. TFTC
P.S, We dropped off a TB
P.S, We dropped off a TB
I was in area today, thought I would look again and someone has done maintenance (thank you), signed the log and replaced. Thanks to Sky Dog.
Search the area thoroughly with a previous finder, with no luck on 2 or 3 levels. Contacted the last finder and they replied we then rechecked the area, still finding nothing.
We were headed North back to the airport and called in for this one but we spotted some kids nearby so didnt even look as we didnt want to compromise the cache.

Not the nicest day to be out caching but i cant complain about the temperature.
Clad in my old gore-tex armour i strode out to do battle against the storm god.
The path was slippery and strewn with obstacles but not particularly long.
One place i looked and no damsel-cache to be found. Two places i looked and still no damsel-cache in sight.
Undaunted i moved down further and there i spied the lair of a cave beast. The dragon was out but there finally was the damsel-cache.
Turns out the damsel-cache wanted to be left there so i gave her my name and made my way through the wind and rain, back up the cliff, to my trusty steed.
Thanks.

With a nice, clear day forecast we decided a bush walk was in order.
After walking the trails for the caches lower down on the track we hopped in the car and drove close to this one.
A wonderful view and good fun exploring to levels to get to the right one

#2304 after a run in with drop bears in Engadine & been chased off I decided to grab this one as it seemed less stressfull. Parked ar to end of the road then had a bit of a wander to see where I needed to make my way down. Soon got to the right level and soon after had the cache in hand
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache

#4176 (4 of 6 today)
Had to drop Geoson #2 at the station so he could get to work... so I decided to keep going south for some caching goodness.
I don't usually cache down here unless going to friends' for dinner - ie leaving early. But lately I haven't had the time to do that, so I'm getting behind and new caches are piling up. Also, there are a number of multis that I just NEED to do.
So compromised - a newer cache and some multis...
Got six and abandoned one. Oh well.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Although less than two kilometres as the crow flies from my last find, it's around eight kilometres driving. I have been here before but didn't attempt because of RFS back burning. No such problem today.
For the second time today it is a question of level. Made my way down, but not far enough... no sign on this ledge.
So found a way down one more, and quickly spotted a likely area. Started the search anew and... hmmm. Looks naturalish but... Checked it. CIH!
Nice hide and great views from GZ.
Completed signing duties and then back out a slightly different way than I took in.

#3142 - Found after descending the cliff. (Lost some bark on the leg when re-ascending) Certainly is a big cache and with a great log book that should last a long time. Many thanks to the cache owner ***Sky Dog*** for establishing and maintaining another local cache. Particularly in regard to the temporarily removing during the fuel burn off.
22/9/16. 12:28 PM. Cache #4222.
3rd of 7 finds - Menai, Engadine & Woronora Heights.
The other day I was looking at "Well Rounded size cache challenge" (GC43QPJ; in Lapstone) and I was gobsmacked to find that after 4 years and 4200 caches I didn't have a day that qualified. So, with the aim of getting that cache some time soon, I worked out that there were plenty of options for me to qualify for it if I head on down to the Shire.
"Large" was always going to be the tricky one to get. There are only about 6 in the Shire and this one was the closest one to the cache I had just found ("Game of Gnomes - Gnorman Gnunston"). Less than 5kms away in a straight line but a convoluted half hour drive around to get here. I came via the end of Croston St, as recommended.
An easy walk along to GZ and after trying out a couple of hiding places, I soon came up with the right one. Signed and replaced. Now I had a Regular, Other and Large size, the rest should be easy. Time for a small, so headed to "bundanoon bounty". TFTC.

I replaced the container in the cave this morning. There was some leaf litter that had been alight and other that hadn't. I would guess the plastic container would have melted a bit if it was left there.
Given advise that there's a burn off this weekend, I checked the cache and after considering the amount of leaf litter in the cave and the position of the container, I have taken it home and will return it next week.

This area is being subject to a hazard reduction this weekend. Hopefully someone can retrieve this cache before then. I will not be able to.
After finishing a long walk on the fire trail we decided to drive around to get this one, as it was too hard to reach from the fire trail. Fantastic views here. TFTC
Good Friday caching with C8 along the fire trail to the river. Originally followed the fire trail from Down By The Creek and Big V, but decided not to attempt the climb up to the top. On our way back from K9 Cache we passed a trio of geocachers (Dad with 2 sons) who had just come down from where we weren't game to venture. They too had thought it would be a tough climb. I think they were Trit?
So back to the car and parked at the suggested Croston Rd where the trail to GZ was the better option. But getting to the actual cache was a little perilous. Spotted the hinted gum tree (though it was more orange than yellow - probably from the rain) and then the hinted small cave. A big cache with one of the biggest log books (literally) I have seen! Now for the climb back to the top. The view across to the Woronora Bridge from the top is fantastic. Another beautiful bush setting around The Shire. I will make it a favourite when I get more points. TFTC. #407

There is a hazard reduction burn scheduled for this coming Thursday where this cache is hidden. You may want to retrieve it pre burn. Just letting you know.
Team Omam from the Netherlands has only one aunt left. And as she will have her 100th birthday early February, we decided to join the birthday party. But …., she lives in Sydney Australia! An excellent opportunity for us to explore this continent once again and find Geocaches along the way. We will do a 3.5 weeks trip! At places where we will stay for a few days (Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Darwin), we will organize Meet and Greet events. We will try to find mainly caches with high favorite points, caches from 2000 and 2001, earth caches, webcam caches, virtuals and letter box hybrids.
What a great view from this spot! It's nice to see a BIG container. Most of the ones I've done recently have been nano sized. TFTC

What an awesome spot for a hunt. Loved the view, love the climb and so did the lomandra_legends boys!!
Great hide the climb up and down was hard good excercise found with RROB2000 tftc
Came at this one from below which made a nice challenge but helped me spot it a bit easier. Nice view from the rocks around there towards Woronora River Bridge
Altaire and I found ourselves on top of this ridge after having walked along a number of fire trails. They had done this cache before but we decided this had such outstanding views, this was to be our morning tea stop. We sat about for a while, after Altaire retrieved the cache. It certainly is a pleasant place. The best location of today's adventure.
Enjoying the long week end break and having just done a bush cache which took less time than expected seeing this was a large which we like finding we head over. We parked at the end of the road as suggested and headed over the 70 odd meters the GPSr said. We went down one set of rocks where the GPSr said but no cache and we wonder why it had not been found in a while. We then went down another level as other logs have said. Looked at the hint and thought it was more a red gum but we are no way tree experts. Once at the right level we made a quick find. We completed the signing duties and re hid. Great Views from up above. TFTC
A great spot for a cache. At first I was finding the caches in the gorge and planning on returning up a track to this cache. To my disappointment there was no track and I was too exhausted to bash it back up.
Back up the way I came down and drove to the end of the ridge to climb back down again. Worth it though.

Nice spot, nice size cache. Thanks for making the trip worth while. A fun little cache.
Found by founding member of team while on Australia jaunt together with Ben Brigade.
An interesting scramble! Although we did it with youngsters, I would not recommend it for a family of small children. It was quite adventurous.
Great views, a relatively easy find, and the best log book I've seen for a long while!

I was so taken with the location that I spent sometime just looking at the fantastic view and admiring the rock formations. Oh yes and then I thought I had better try and find the cache !!
Got it after a little while as the GPS was trying to be funny and leading me around.
Very impressed with the logbook in fact it looked like a handbook for your car.
Didn't take anything but left a plastic cicada and a "good award" badge,

Loved this spot. Loved the caves. Will be back to this spot just for the caves and view. Took nothing. TFTC.
An early morning start had me up in Sydney to tackle this one and a short walk from the car to GZ. The hint helped as I then looked a bit further down the hill and soon had the large cache in hand. Another Sky Dog cache in these parts done. TFTC!
Plenty of possible places to search around these coordinates and a bit of climbing, prodding and poking. In the end, a fairly quick and enjoyable find. Thanks for bringing me here Great views Cheers
Approached this one from the bottom but it was a rewarding climb and the view was great. TFTC!
Went with Mandalf and Treeweird and, like an earlier finder, we went from the bottom but it wasn't too bad of a bush bash and the view was well worth it. Beautiful Aussie summer's day and great location TFTC!

SuperJC and I went searching for this cache, unfortunately we had limited time, so didnt get to find it. We began the climb down the cliffs whilst taking about snakes, Me trying to be the bigger person said that snakes dont come out this time of year and just as i said it a large brown snake slithered by. So a warning goes out to those looking for the cache to be careful in between the rocks as the snakes have been enjoying the warm weather and are basking on the rocks! Although we didnt find it, we will definitely be back for another try!! The views were absolutely stunning, thanks for bring us to such a beautiful place!!

We had gone for a walk today and were at the top admiring the view when this fellow appeared out of the bush and up the hill with a GPSr on his hand. We asked if he had found it and he said no and kept following that little arrow. It must have been Mr Roo!

TFTC, another local cache found. The view from here is very similar to Juan's View. Visited with trackables learning where all my local Caches are.
Considering the scrambling over rocks needed to find this cache perhaps the difficulty rating should be a bit higher, great views though, enjoyed finding this cache.

This cache could be re-enabled as we went for a walk this arvo. Having previously found this cache, we thought we would check out the condition of it. The container is hidden as it was previously, complete with lid on tightly. The container is dry inside and has a dry log book although this does have evidence of previous water damage. It is readable and signable though. There is no pen in the cache and although a large container there is only one swap left.
However if the next finder brings a pen, there is no reason why it could not be found and log signed as the container itself is hidden well and in good condition.
Cheers Sat Down

Had to get geo-kid out of the house and this is nice and close - so went had a look. We probably would have found it but it seems to be a hang out for local teenages. Which is possibly the reason cache has been interfered with? We go have a look another time..
This is offline until I check what's up. It may be have discovered and destroyed by some local kids.
*NEEDS ATTENTION* Cache has been interferred with. Its lid is gone and it is now full of water. The contents have been thrown around. Found and signed the log. Really a nice area, hope you can replace the container.
