Nice drive from Raglan to grab this one. TFTC.

27-Jan-18
We were staying in Raglan for the weekend and thought because it was so hot, we'd take a drive and pick up some backroad caches with air conditioning.
We headed out to this one first via some gravel roads which we really enjoyed. Parked alongside GZ and made a quick find here. TFTC! Big Grin

18-Nov-17
I've been staring at the caches out in Ragland all year. so today decided to make a morning of it, and go pick some up. I had thought to go up Mt Karioi, but the car park was completely full!!!! so around the coast I continued finding other caches. This was the last cache of the day before I started the journey home again. Felt like a bit of a detour, but couldn't leave it sitting here all by itself!

30-Jul-17
Found cache quickly on the ground but nicely hidden.
TFTC

25-Feb-17
Found 4 weeks ago but forgot to log.

01-Sep-16
After a hike up Mt Karioi earlier in the day I had some time to spare so decided to complete the drive back to Raglan by circumnvigating the mountain. Made a bit of a diversion to get this one - found quickly although the cache is sitting on the ground rather than in the tree which is no longer reachable through what looks like a relatively new fence. All in excellent condition. Signed log, TFTC

29-Aug-16
The workmen and grader driver on this road must have wondered why I went both ways only a matter of minutes apart.

Cheers for the cache.

27-Jul-16
2035 Found cache on ground. Replaced it where I thought it should be. Had to climb fence to get it there.

24-Jul-16
Found it! Added a Anzac day poppy but didn't take anything. A great drive.

24-Feb-15
Greetings from Denmark
Our daytrip today was the Bridal Veil Fall and a special place at a beach that we visited 14 years ago.
On our way to the fall we found a nice serial of caches and on the way or special place we found this one.
TFTC

03-Jan-15
Belated logging of a find I forgot about whilst on holiday. The trees were in full bloom, which gave me an excuse to take photos. A quick find, and yes the cache is in excellent condition, deserves a FP. Wouldn't like to drive these roads at anything like Rally speed!

27-Dec-14
this was a great find, worth the drive out of the way from our planned destination

09-Aug-14
First maintenance visit for this one, and the box was in great condition after 7 years exposed in this spot. I thought it prudent to swap for a new one, so it can sit in this lonely spot for a few more years without problems.

28-Jun-14
went out for a ride on our Mtn bikes from Raglan we did a 56km loop around the mtn and stopped here to get this cache. Thanks

04-May-14
Managed to convince the good Dragon that she needed to come out for lunch to Raglan to blow away the autumn fog of Hamilton, and lucky me she agreed to both lunch and a little Drive around the area.

This was the last cache of the day (doing a cleanup around the Raglan area). A quick find along a quiet road and then a nice trip back Home. Thanks for the end of a great journey

Thanks for the placement

26-May-13
We just picked up a new cache-mobile so decided to test out its 4wd capabilities and go for a blat along Whaanga coast road and pick up some caches on the way. This was our first stop before we headed toward the coast and raglan. Cache in fantastic condition Very Happy Thanks for the great views.

09-Dec-12
Loved the drive out to the cache, thou a few places were a bit rough with all the corregations in the gravel. Took the costal route, on a stunning day, with great views of the Tasman sea.
The car got a bit excited in a few corners and decided to mimic it's bigger brothers (lucky it's a subaru and it's in it's DNA).

Thanks for giving me this wonderful drive.

02-Sep-12
Stopped off on our way to a lovely walk along the beach not far below. Love it out here, especially now roads are sealed most of the way!! cache in great condition, grabbed the very patient TB, TFTC!

28-Feb-12
This is probably the most remote I've found so far, but nice one for all that. Found a few more rattles in the old car than I was aware of before!

Great spot! Found with jillopy and return2nai, as well as extended family.

Forgot to log that we'd dropped a GC here...

At Ruapuke today for jillopy's sister's birthday (yes, they are lucky enough to live amongst these views!) and the birthday girl decided she could handle doing her first cache! Nice quick spotting and signing in wild wind! TFTC.

the farmers have now built a fence for their mailboxes so its climb a fence vs reach from the car but still an easy to score cache. TFTC

#1067

Tried a bit of rally driving in the van but I dont think its quite made for it, so just drove sedately instead.

Nice rural spot, missed out on getting GuannoGerbils nearby cache as we missed a turn off and didnt have time to back track, Great area,

TNLN TFTC!!

25-Jul-09
Great day for a drive in the country, nice easy drive by cache. Thanks.

19-Jun-09
The sun was going down over Mt Kariori as we arrived at GZ. We'd arrived via the coast road but certainly not at the speed of a rally car. A leisurely drive taking in the magnificent views. Thanks for bringing us here.

17-Feb-09
The Freezer Mice strike again!!!
Almost on the home straight after a round trip of the coast picking up some 'stray' caches along the way.
Not quite done at rally speeds, but can certainly apprieciate how impressive it must be.
Nil in or out, TFTC.

10-Jan-09
While staying in Raglan, we did some of the local caches.
Wow, we had so much fun even driving to and from the cache - check out the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jt7CpN9P2oc !
Rala loves rallye and would love to be a Co-Pilot for a day.
The cache was found sometime in between taking photos and shooting movies. Great spot for a checkpoint! Some farmers came by asking us if we were lost. Probably to their astonishment, we answered them confidently that we were exactly where we wanted to be Smile

Did the round the Mt Karioi circuit today, ticking off 9 caches enroute. Very easy find. Loved the house being built on the way between two containers!

Quick find. Looks like there has been some recent fencing activity around GZ. Thankfully, there were no problems with the cache.

Out to Raglan for a late afternoon Sunday drive and of course had to make a "slight" deviation to grab this cache. Have spent a lot of time out at Ruapuke beach in the past - one of those wonderful litle known wild places.
Many thanks

06-Oct-07
Pleased I didn't meet any rally cars as I drove around the coastal road. Enjoyed the magnificent rugged coastal views. Quick easy find. TFTC

17-Sep-07
A nice drive out there but not as quick as the racers.
Nil in or out

03-Sep-07
New cache yesterday.
Luckily I work PM shifts so new I would have a good chance for a FTF this morning.
Day was overcast.
Set off at around 9am and today used the navman which navigated right to the T intersection of GZ.
Only a small bit of rd with no seal. You can just about imagine what the feeling is like driving one of those rally cars.
You can see that this was a good vantage point to view.
Cache was an easy find. Back home before 11am
I dropped of a TB ive had a bit long
