I'm not even going to bother to do a check on this one, given the amount of water through here. Gone.
Just did a drive by and think that GZ may have undergone extensive remodelling, courtesy of the Brisbane River. I thought that I had placed the cache high enough to avoid flooding.
Will check ASAP and enable/archive as appropriate.

Kookaburra must be laughing it loud.

Had a quick look in the long grass and left pretty quickly. Will come back again.
OMG!! Couldn't find this one. Gave up scratched and biten and hot and sweaty!! Will return on a cooler day.
TFTC great cache, ammo caches are awesome, cool spot, took ages for us to find
Took mater TB for a lil journey

5th cache for the day and this one tested us pretty good. We'd done some "hard to get to" caches earlier and thought this one would be an easy one. Parked car and headed in towards GZ. I was so busy looking at the GPSr I walked into a wet area not unlike quicksand you see in old movies. Reminded me of the wisdom of the caching shirt where the guy is walking off the cliff, I know believe it could happen Visions of myself sinking with GPSr held high yelling "Don't worry about me, save my Garmin"
Anyway we got to GZ and the fun really started. This is one elusive ammo box! We looked, we burrowed, we sweated, we swatted mosquitoes, we occassionally cursed. Surely we could not be defeated by this? Eventually my caching buddy brent70 pretty much tripped over it. We'd worn a path past it and simply not seen it. It sure was a relief to mark this one as found!

Well the weeds and trees in this area have grown since all the rain over the last couple of months. Made for a very entertaining half hour in the heat and humidity looking for this cache. Found it in the end, sitting happy in it's spot.

Having a great X-mas caching! Found this one today after a walk in the tall grass. T TB L UK Geocoin.
Found, the GPS actually led us right to the point. We did the normal wandering around dis-believing the Grid reading.
We looked for approx 15 mins nearly gave up and then there it was. Found, Nice location too, and yes grass a bit long so kids a bit weary, but no holding back,.
Pack for a BBQ and get the most out of the visit.
First cache since we moved, but kids keen to continue the hunt.
cheers

Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at 1:45pm. I am very glad to have this cache off my "to find" list. This is the 3rd time I have been here and the first 2 times the grass was over my head. This time it was only about 1 metre high at the highest but the cache still took quite some time to track down. There are many tracks being walked thru the grass near the cache too. after 30 minutes of fruitless searching, eating mulberries, searching, eating mulberries and more searching we were about to give up. I gave one last 'poke' and there it was. That characteristic 'thud' of a stick hitting metal. YES! 1 for me. TFTC Did I say that the mulberries were reaaaaly yummy!!!!
Returned today with the purple lipped one to have another search. It took ages and we had actually given up. I walked over to Mrs Lat&Long just in time to hear the clunk of stick on cache. I wasn't happy, I was just soooo relieved. I really thought the kookaburra would be laughing at me again. TN/LN/SL
Made an easy approach to GZ, but couldn't find the cache. I searched for what seemed like a long time before the light started to fail. Oh well, a good excuse to bring Mrs Lat&Long here for a look at this lovely park ... and to help search next time .
I had tried this last year without luck, so today I found my way back to GZ along a (sort of) path and a quick search had the cache in hand. TFTC penguiny.
I attempted this one last year with two Junior Gunnies however, we worked our way to a steep embankment that was too dangerous for the little ones.
Today I found a different route that took me straight to GZ with no steep parts to talk of. [^] Found a nice little void and figured it was a perfect place to stash a container but, NOPE... wasn't there. I put the black book and GPS down and commenced a real search. Found the container in the second place I looked...
I stayed low as a couple of angling muggles drifted by in their boat then tucked the container back in its lair.
Cheers Penguiny

Nice, quite easy cache in a very beautiful secluded spot. Terrain-wise this must have been the easiest T3 I've ever done.

Found at 1500. Jason where do I start.
Finding the edge of the park was not a problem. Worked out pretty quickly to not follow the GPSr. Made my way to the river then I walked along the low ground from the east then went to the high ground.
Grass is shoulder high in places and the vine wants to trip you up or strangle you. Found the creepers then the right clump.
This stuff certainly grows prolifically. Found the cache container fairly easily once I parted the right clump of creeper. ( I did have to use the GPSr eventually). Container and contents are very safe and dry. good high spot in case river does flood. Left small toy took organiser. TFTC. ( As you know I love an adventure, regards. John)

I found this one today on the way home from 9 holes of golf near by and then lunch at family (also near by!).
On the way in to the cache I passed another fella, he might have been young or old, it was hard to tell! He was moving with purpose like a cacher and seemed to have gear to match.
I didn't have such a hard time finding the cache (well, wait for it). There was a nice grass trail in and after walking around in circles a few times and following the wandering GZ I found a snake in a tree . Unfortunately it headed towards the cache. I waited a little bit (after cleaning my underpants, I startle easily ) before following it. I tramped around a bit following someone else's tramplings. I should have followed them a little better as I still had trouble with GZ. Moments later I was stung on the face by a wasp (on my eyebrow!) [B)]
Fortunately, my face isn't one of those pretty ones that suffers from a wasp sting so I continued my poking around (ok, there was a little bit of swearing). Then I spied another little trample trail and all of a sudden I got a good GZ reading, 0.7m. I looked down and there was the cache!
I signed the log after the other fella (young or old), and in my haste (pain) I forgot to put my name! TNLN and TFTC

Cache check performed at 1700hrs.
After Ozibags' DNF I thought a visit would be in order (the last DNFs on another of my caches turned out to be because that cache was indeed missing).
Cache is right where I left it, although it is amazing how the plant life has changed over the last 14 months. Also found a new way to get to the cache from the north-west - althoug I still recommend coming from the east.
Took the Dorkfish geocoin & SL.

The walk to the cache started good over well-mown grass and I thought this will be easy - then a wall of vegetation confronted me. Now I don't mind vegetation but being close to a river and summer coming on I did think about snakes ! But I had a cache to find so I plunged into the undergrowth and made my way to the site, stomping to scare away any snakes (I read somewhere that this works!!). I searched for a while but alas the undergrowth was so thick I finally gave up. Oh well - next time!
Found at 10.43am. While visiting a friend today thought I would take a detour and do this one as it's been on my list for a while. This is a lovely park but as you get nearer to GZ it is really overgrown and I thought there was no chance I was going to find the cache. I walked around the thickest part towards the river looked down and low and behold the cache was just sitting and staring at me! Took nothing but left Butterfly's Tank Full of Fish geocoin and rehid cache. Thankyou for bringing me here.
A voyage into the undergrowth! My 6yr old daughter was very pleased with the find. We left a padlock with keys, a beautiful cone shell from Burrum Heads and some craft jewels. Took a sticker, flower tattoo and necklace.
tried today on way home from Kholo Gardens GC1BMQD with parentals, but way too over grown to get close, will try another day when have something to cut a path in and out.
too risky when didn't have anything to protect yourself if come across a snake.

Went with a mate to this one when I was learning about caching . It was my first. Got a GPS and then revisited with my wife a month later. Should have taken the weed eater. Even the dog got bogged. Good Fun. Thanks we are hooked.
With a few minutes to spare before a 2pm visit, dropped by to find this one. Took Draughts set, left a Tyre gauge (so Mr Rudd can keep inflation in check!
HATE the load of old cobbler's pegs. [:(!] Took 10 minutes to pick them all out of my shirt!

[Found it after some intense searching. Took the unite for Diabetes travel bug, will place it somewhere soon. left a pencil rubber] tried to get through a very thick bush before giving up and trying another direction, in our defense, we were following a track of sorts. [TFTC, TFTH]
Dropped in to check the cache after the recent reports of long grass and scores of cobblers pegs. It amazing what a bit of rain can do - the once knee high grass is at shoulder height, but the animal tracks are still easy to follow. Plenty of cobblers peg plants have popped up though.
Had a laugh when I saw where it appears that someone came through a rough section of vegitation - whoever it was certainly picked the hard way.
Dropped of one of the Unite for Diabetes TBs. Cache and contents in good order.

We met up with Wingaap for a cache run west of Brisbane, and started with this one. Lovely area here by the river. We found the cache easily by following the beaten path through the head high grass and cobblers pegs to GZ. Plenty of dogs in the park to greet us on the way back to the cars. Thanks for the cache!
Out on a caching trip with Steve and Family.
I'm certainly glad that IF & The HiltonClan had visited recently. Heaven know what the trail would have been like without their 'clearing' a path.
Wow...they sure grow cooblers peg weeds big out this way.
Found the cache....dry and in good condition.
Stopped to chat with a few dogs on the way out.
Thanks for the cache and an introduction to the area.

This was a harder cache for the day, we had to battle spiders, tall grass, rain, cobblers pegs and Tigers(just joking), Had a bt of trouble finding the prize once we got to GZ but we did it in the end, TFTC.
I had to laugh when I saw where the GPS wanted me to go
After reading the previous logs I suspect this area was not quite as overgrown a few months ago. The rains have changed that!! [:o]
What animal tracks? Just lots of head high grass and cobblers pegs
But after a quarter hour of stumbling around I found myself at GZ. Another quarter hour and the box was finally spotted
Woo Hoo!! I took the Dig Dog #2 travel bug.
Next cacher should hurry up to find this one before my geotrail dissapears and the grass grows back

Found this one today. It was an easy find and the gps location was dead accurate, specially if you are on the right side of the river, which I was NOT at first . Took Grand Experiment #7 - Australia, droppped Dig Dog 2nd. Nice park, tons of dogs should've brought our four legged friend.

Yay!! My 2 boys and I had our 1st serious geocaching attempt and were successful! Thought we might stumble across a lost tribe en route, but found the cache after a bit of crawling around. Took the crayons and left a bike honker. And Sparky the dog loved the run!
Needed a few attempts to find our way to the cache. Some mossies lost their lives. We picked Sam the Monkey.
Found the Cache at 1515hrs and had fun finding it. It was the first one that I have found. TNLN SL thanks for the challenge.
Found with Water Rat, I've spent a lot of time in this park over the years it's good to have a cache here. TNLN thanks
Great off leash area for the geohounds to run amok.
Found the cache easily enough once we opened our eyes and learnt to look a bit better. Walked out a lot easier than we walked in.
no swaps today.

Found by Kholometers with Trinity. I stumbled across this FTF cache during my lunch break at work last night. What better opportunity to nail a first to find is there other than the trip home from work this morning. Found @ 06:45, Excellent hide and a favourite spot of mine at that. TFTC
Took toy gun and I'll be back soon with some swaps.
