Well, it's not everyday that you stumble upon a geocache that has supposedly gone missing over ten years ago and was archived then as well. Right place at the right time perhaps, or that the cache was sitting out in the open. Although there was a long stick next to it, so I wonder if someone has tried to retrieve it recently, whether a cacher or not? I had to step into some spiky reeds to reach it. Only a geocacher would be curious about it I imagine. I was searching for another placement in the same area but I was looking for a micro and this cache wasn't a micro. It never ceases to amaze me that I find a cache I wasn't supposed to find but didn't find the cache I was supposed to be looking for. This has happened to me before and I do get a kick out of it although I am not claiming unloved days since the placement has not been listed all this time. Thanks calembeena for the pleasant unexpected find for the day!
As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Could we please have an update? It has been over 3 months since this has been disabled. Thanks.
Sounds like the cache may be missing.
I'll try and get around there soon-ish, but it may take me a while to get there.
In the meantime, I'll disable the listing.

Sad. Did not find after a long search. Very prickly and got a little bit of blood around the arm, but, who cares. A garden maintenance team member was standing just near where we believe the cache is, and later filled up her trailer with sticks, mulch, grass and lots of rubbish in the spot our GPS told us the cache was hidden. Might wanna check this out to see if it's still there.
Nice quick find as the cool change came in. I'd call it a fruit container rather than a Sistema but a good cache still. Got a little bit prickled.
On a foule nights geocaching...I found this one within a few minutes of getting out of my car. Twould be a nice place to visit in nicer weather. I've run by this cache doing street O before now.
Second visit here and after lots more spikes and finally some lateral thought, there it was. Quick find in the end. TFTC SL which is now full.
Second attempt but had it within a few minutes after getting dirty and THEN figuring out we really didn't need to get so dirty. Still, v. fun! TFTC
Armed with a stick I searched around for 40mins but failed to find anything that looked like a cache:(
I know we were close but the spikes got the better of us today. Will come back with a big stick! Thanks
Quick find here, but then the challenge began with the extraction.
All good fun, thanks for the tour of the park calembeena

Nice and fairly easy find today. Thanks for bringing me to this lovely reserve. SL TFTC
With no muggles around today the cache was spotted quickly, but getting it out proved a bit more difficult, requiring the use of a nearby "retrieval assistance tool", i.e. stick. Having signed the log it was a bit easier to put it back than it was to get out. It's a nice park and I was surprised that I did not see one other person while I was here.

I think that experience played the part here.
As I approached GZ I narrowed the search to a likely spot.
Lucky for me it was the first place that I looked.
Retrieving it was fun, I rested signed the log and moved on.

This one took longer to find and I was help by a passing comment of "Your colder, you were warmer where you were before", which I responded with "thanks" and then within a mintue the cache was spotted and then in hand. Many thanks for this comment and it goes to show that we all look like Muggles when we are out walking our dogs. TFTC, TNLN.

Good location and well hidden, completely muggle free at the time we were there. SL.

Had a fairly good look in between muggle visitors to no avail. Those prickles really do need watching!
Out and about with toy car tonight, taking advantage of the last of our daylight savings hours. This is our 6th for the night and on a roll. Seeing that Toy car has already done but just could not remember where is was. Not much around at all so it could be only in one place. Being careful of the prickles it was soon in hand and off we go again.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Took the tissues & left a maze game. Lovely and dirty find after a rainy weekend!
Found on a night caching run through the area. On my own tonight. Found basically underneath, but very exposed. It is now tucked away a lot better and shouldn't be muggled. 3rd cache for the night i found like this. Made the finds easy... Last time i was here i spent 20 or so minutes in the wrong spot.... A nice bit of "unfinished business" to clean up. TFTC.
Scoured bridge area for +45 mins. Previous entries have this easily found. Maybe our eyesight but GC may be moved or no longer?

This was the second geocache for Kat Kids. When we arrived the cache was already in the hands of another cacher, so after a chat we went for a walk while he rehid it again for us. This made it quite interesting because the kids could see that other people also do this as a hobby. We eventually found the cache under the bridge. We took a toy blue car as a momento and we put in "Remembrance Day" Poppy. TFTC

Both log books are full (and slightly damp) - probably worth removing/replacing them sooner rather than later.
Found at 1245, after looking quickly and prickly. Both log books are full - signed the back cover. TNLNSL-TFTC.
found with Hearse068. Easy find a little spiky I must say. Have to be quick as a few muggles around. TNL1 TFTC
I guess I was just lucky, cache was in the first place I looked. It’s a very good, safe hiding place; easy if you know where to look, painful if you are at the wrong end/side. Just hope nobody watched my embarrassing moves to retrieve it.

Looks like I night have to come back for this one. Spent a while searching without success (ouch!), received a phone call, read past logs... And watched the screens of the nearby kitchen window going up and someone staring at me.
Finally found this one @ 22:30. On a revisit the location became obvious. TN, Left toy car. SL. TFTC.
Excellent hide in new park area for us. Thanks for bringing us to this location. Easy find by Geo grandson Jake. Contents have become damp. Suggest maintenance required.
After my second crack at this one for today (the first at 5pm, the second at midnight) I'm going to have to accept a DNF. All the more disappointing given that RUSCHIE logged a successful visit today. I found the perfect location for a cache in the exact place my unit told me to look, it even had the requisite nasty sharp bits, but no joy. Perhaps I'll lick my wounds for today (actual wounds, but metaphorical licking) and revisit another day.
The silver lining was that I picked up and disposed of some litter from the area (empty beer bottles, cigarette packet & miscellaneous detritus) so it was not a total bust. A double silver lining if you count that the ciggie pack had a silver lining too.

Interesting reading about the history while waiting for the muggles to disperse. Clever cache title. Thanks, calembeena.
Took a minute but located it - it seemed to be a little out of position (ie. in plain view, and at risk of water damage) so I put it back where I believe it came from based on the hint info. (I hope I did the right thing there...)
Do pay attention to the hint's tip - ouch!
The logbook is a bit damp but was still usable - could do with a dry-out perhaps?

Tristan the Travel Turtle Tag (TB3BCX5) has come for a flying visit back in time.
Found after midnight.
It looks like geo-junk to the untrained eye, maybe it has drifted from the original location
We 'threw' it back as we had found it.

catching up on a backlog of caches since my laptop died. going to take a while
Back to find this one again but the cache was out in the open and damp inside. Maybe it has floated out of its hide during recent rains. I put it back near where I found it but a little less visible. SL TFTC. cloudglider
As mentioned in last log, it was a easy find, maybe too easy, i wonder if it is in its original hidding place?
Also, logs are a bit wet

Found while out in the area, on a cold and rainy night. No sign of kitchen window person. Also, for a while, no sign of cache. Eventually found in it, though not very close to the given coordinates. Log books both damp and rather full, hard to pick wear to sign. TFTC.
Reading through the logbook I noticed I was lucky to find this cache relatively unharmed by the prickly bushes. It was a good find.

Hard to believe that so much could be crammed onto an old school site. It was a valiantly fought battle and a sad loss. Cache on the other hand was cool and fun and the park very nice. Thanks for a nice big cache.
Number 8 for the day. Our last one and a record for us. Nice little park, though a had to be careful not to stab myself in the eye.

Found with CDNB on a day of casual caching. A few muggles walking their pets didn’t interrupt us in our search (certainly a prickly situation), but the cache was quickly recovered by P-P. Didn't notice any TB's in the cache! Log signed and cache returned, we were off to our next find.

Didn't find it first. Came back after we read the logs. Found it in 3 minutes and we don't have a GPS! Took Saturn Stress Toy and band-aid and left flying propellor spinner and ball. Great place. It's our second cache!
