Fun while it lasted, but pretty quiet over the past year.
This cache was not placed in a way I would now deem appropriate, so it's time to go. Adios cache

With the puzzle solved this week Suscoe was looking forward to a nice Brisbane Ranges caching tour.
well it was certainly nice and wet!!!!!!!!!!
I think we had around 40 mls and it felt like it.
The cache was discvered after a nice wander and log signed.
Took beaver, left turtle.
Loved the story, loved the hide and loved the location, what more could we want.
Thanks to Mr Emu for another stretch of the old grey matter.

After completing the puzzle a little further up the road, this one proved a lot easier to solve.
Along with Kiv7, we made our way to GZ, and despite a little delay in finding, we eventually made the discovery of a decent sized cache.
My thanks again to Mr. Emu for this fun cache, TNLNSL

Well this has been a long time coming. Like Geodes I was impressed with the language and have only recently bothered googling them to learn more about their origins. I was in two minds as to whether I would come out here today but there seemed to be a couple of hours of daylight left so I gave it a shot. I was worried that I may have got my coords wrong but I spied something that didn't look quite right and the cache was revealed.
Many thanks for a very unique, clever and enjoyable puzzle.

This cache was solved along with the other nearby Mr Emu Mystery and found today. After a little searching at GZ the well hidden cache was found.
Thanks again Mr Emu.
Thanks again Mr Emu.
I had passed this one on the way to last month's bushwalk, although I hadn't solved it, but with this month's walk just nearby, I thought I'd solve it for the find. Our post-walk barbie was a little north of here but hey, who's gonna pass up a solved mystery just because of that? Not me, that's for sure !! Once at GZ, a short search soon had me with the stash in hand at 18:05.
TNLNSL. Thanks for an entertaining puzzle and the cache Mr Emu.

Geez, was it 2 years ago that this one and its companion came out - I can remember being really impressed with them both and really enjoying making some sense out of them - and promising myself they I'd make them a priority to get when I eventually made a caching tour down this way. I can't believe it's taken me this long - but I'm glad I eventually got to do them - I oh so hate it when puzzle caches I've solved get archived before I manage to visit them. Anyway, I've finally managed a caching day down here and it was with keen anticipation that I pulled up and headed to GZ for this one - only to find "emptiness" in, what I thought was, the most obvious place. I couldn't believe it, but had a quick cast around and noticed something a little unusual and was extremely relieved to uncover the cache .

Thanks Mr Emu - a most enjoyable puzzle indeed!

One of our few attempts at Mystery caches had us putting on our strangest accents and relating fairytales to each other. We had a brief look at this some time ago and the foul weather this morning gave us a chance to sit at home and nut it out. An easy find once we had the co-ords. SL NINO Thanks for the fun
Solved this puzzle at home some time ago, taking turns reading it out loud. Thanks for the fun Mr Emu! SGGK and ex-caching son particularly enjoyed it.
A nice hide in this landscape that is still recovering from fire. The view towards the south was, indeed, very telling - and impressive in the sunshine between showers.
No swaps made. Left Emu Cache Surfer path-tag, which we had found in Um Err Mr Emu

Having six weeks off work and being confined to home after a hip replacement I decided to try and solve some puzzle caches. Unfortunately I found out that I wasn't very good at this and after an hours working out bit by bit Cracker Girl had a look , walked off to her computer and came back about 10 minutes later with a set of co-ordinates. Today was the first opportunity we had to try these, although the last few meters to gz wasn't crutch friendly we managed to get there. After a bit of a search we thought that we may have a dnf when Diane spotted a likely hide and the cunning cache was soon in hand
Thanks for the puzzle and for the cache hide in a pleasant area

Been waiting for a while to pick this one up. After enjoying another of your Fairy Tales, I couldn't help but solve this one but, as I don't get down this way much, I had to keep it on hold. Finally, the opportunity arose and your subtle little hide was found. Another nice one Mr Emu. No swaps made. Many thanks.

Found while on a four day caching adventure with O'Cholio. O'Cholio may have solved the puzzle, but the find was mine after we had all previously overlooked the spot.TFTC.
Another one that we had a lot of fun solving, and a good reason to come down this particular road to get to Geelong! TFTC.
Found tonight with shane.thompson and lennyboy at 8:00pm, had to get the torches for this one. Thanks and well thought cache .
Found today at 8:00pm with lennyboy & WB-Holden. I have been looking at this one for months and went out for a look tonight, torches in hand, finially found. Thanks Mr Emu.
Found the cache at 8.00pm with shane.thompson and wb-holden Very dark night but with all the torches found the cache ok
Thanks Mr Emu for the cache
Thanks Mr Emu for the cache
Had this one worked out some time ago, but last time I went past I had a truck up my rear so couldn't stop and it was too dark on the way home. This time I left extra early and truck or no truck I was stopping. There was nothing behind me when I got there so didn't have that problem. Found fairly quickly. Relieved that I had the right co-ordinates. Enjoyed both these puzzles once I worked them out. Thanks for the challenge. Took out a Candy cane before the ants got to it and left a toy. SL TFTC
Once again, lots of fun working this one out and then a fairly easy find. Geosons excited to find this one for themselves! No-one around so easy to look. Took Japanese doll, left torch key ring. TFTC
found with Geewok and Spongeboy
little help but we got there, was obvious to spongeboy but i practically went right past it lol

Last of 4 on our "Chati's Day with Dad"
We actually did these 4 covertly, as I was supposed to be driving a moving truck from Harcourt to Indented Head!!
Chati and I raced through the loading to give us more covert action time!!
I had decoded this one about 18 months ago, then re-decoded them last week!!
Only did caches along the Ballan / Geelong Road!!
TNLNSL. Find # 466. 2.30pm
Thanks

Take note of the posted clue! (If you look to the south when standing at the GZ, you should be able to work out why the cache was placed here.) It really helped us find it!
This was second attempt by Llangollen and Shrimpies. First time two days ago, there was another car parked too close. A great cache that I pass every day going to work...will give me a chuckle every time I pass in future.

In the area visiting relatives, and we couldn't resist deciphering this one.
It does get easier the longer you study it.
Left a geocoin.

Came out last week for a look, couldn't find even with geo son helping, didn't help with GPS all over the place, had me running around like a chook with no head. Came back to check answers, checksum worked out so I knew I was in the right area.Put snakecatcher on to this one and got a call to say he had found it. Had to run a scout night in the area so thought I would revisit. This time GPS was on target and found quickly.
Took keyring torch - left a different kind of keyring torch.
TFTC - interesting little story, once you read it enough it starts to make sense. Once you know the story it starts to come together. Only problem now is I can udder Stan Jibe Irish.

We solved the puzzle, and think we were at the correct place. It was getting dark and we wanted to look for koalas at Anike Gorge -- which we didn't! Thwarted twice!
Went and found this cache today on our way to Anakie Gorge for a walk. Spent most of last night last night deciphering the story and I still don't under stand 'why'!!! I get it but I don't if you get my meaning. Thanks to you Mr. Emu for bring to me some knowledge that I would never have experienced before.

Like its related cache, I had solved the puzzle for this one some time ago.
With little to do today, it seemed perfect go caching.
Again, the cache was found with the excellent co-ords.
Took torch, left torches x2
Thanks again Mr Emu

Got to my calculated gz and saw a couple of likely spots. When they came up blank I was about to do some re-checking when the slightly sneaky hide was spotted. TNLN thanks Mr Emu for some more fun and the cache.
Found by Mary & David at 1005. Loved the puzzle - rather 'Victor Borge'! Mary took over from David and had it done much more quickly; the word 'slobbers' is now part of her vocab. The place was Australia's first theme park, which we visited several times with small children in the early 80s, and there was an air of genteel decay even then.Hope it has been restored since to give pleasure to new generations of children. Collected San Diego geocoin. Our thanks to Mr Emu.

We had a great time sorting this (and it's partner) out the night before. The confirmation process provided is appreciated as we find lengthy puzzles that don't have some form of confirmation a pain. We stopped at the northern parking area and then moved to the south where we had lunch after finding our goal. We picked up the GeoCoin "Busted 2007" and left the GeoCoin "San Diego".

Well I had great fun with this, the internet is a wonderful thing and I enjoyed learning about this art form. It's taken a while to get to the cache location but once there the cache was soon in hand.
Left play dough & keyring took wet ones. Thanks Mr. Emu for another puzzle.

Well Mr Emu this was the harder of these two caches as you had to learn how to read this one as the services of the internet helped with the other one. I have known the co-ords of these two caches since October but have not been out in the area until today when the temperature was 32° so it was not easy getting out of the car. The views from GZ are worth the small climb. Took Lord Farquat TB and left Busted 2007 Geocoin. Thanks again for a puzzle cache that as you know I struggle with some of these but it’s great to tick off another found.
Made my head spin a bit trying to read this darn thing but I eventually sorted it out. An easy find in the end though.
Thanks very much

Another pre-calculated by Chewin' cache. (Must be good to have a job like his ).
Almost a drive-by, just a short walk.
Thanks, Robmc.

Another one of Mr emu's caches that I had prepared in advance. Parked at the wrong spot and had a short walk to the cache which was found after a short hunt. Thanks Mr emu.

Well we had a really enjoyable day caching with our two grandsons (Max and Billy) and their friend (Kyle). It's not a new experience for them, they continuously ask to go treasure hunting with us.
Penny is so pleased with herself, with just reason, because she solved the puzzle single handedly.
T: Keyring, mouse & teddy
L: Screwdriver, torch and koala
Thanks Mr Emu for teh cache (and the smile on Penny's face)

Mr Morris was very sure where this one should have been hidden and when it wasn't there was suspicious of Lady Morris' calculations. The area was a bit treachorous after the storm had passed through but she soon located it right where the coords said it would be - just not where Mr Morris thought it should be. T CITO and left sticky notes. TFTC

Our previous log comments apply here as well and there were just as many smiles when reading this version as with the other one!
We are not usually puzzle solvers, but we must admit we enjoyed this experience no end.
As well as the obvious parking area near to GZ, we approached from the North and there is quite safe off the road parking available there also.
This hide proved more of a challenge but good co-ordinates brought it undone after a short search.
Once again we completed the formalities and left one of our usual Mondo Figurines for the cache and took a $100 Key Tag as a memento.
Thank you again Mr Emu, for this experience.

Found today at 1416 and 2 seconds.. just as Oenze picked it up.
I suffered a bit of a blonde moment with this cache. I didn't look at what I had written down and just went off in my own little world and thus walking DOWN the lovely steep hill.. coming a cropper [xx(] winding myself wounding myself [B)] and just lying there under the trees for about 15 minutes whilst regaining my breath, all the while thinking evil thoughts about Mr Emu.
The worst part is my original checksum even checked out.
Got to the bottom of the hill.. found a lovely spot for a cache but alas.. no cache to be found. Thus.. up the rotten hill again.. this time staying upright all the way.
Sitting in the Geoute tending to my wounds and cursing my stupidity, I had just finished correcting the blonde moment when I noticed a white car pull up behind me.
I guessed it had to be another cacher because of all the paraphernalia stuck to the windscreen.
Out jumps Oenze.. we have a quick G'day then off to the new improved GZ .
We saw a couple of likely spots so whilst I check one Oenze checked the other.. and his was the right spot.
Oh well. Ya get that.

Find # 1849 at 2:16pm. I saw a couple of new caches in the new listings but they were mysteries which I am not too good at but I sat down and did a lot of research and figured out one of them but this one had me puzzled so printed it out and gave it to Wheelchair Access to have a go at and she got a lot closer that me we played with the figures and tried the checksum and it all worked out so I raced off to GZ to find a green car already there Oh well a STF will have to do, I got out a car and had a chat to VKC1SR and it turned out he put a wrong digit in his GPS so I headed over to GZ with my coords. and just beat him to the find. Thanks Mr Emu for the Puzzle the adventure and the FTF....
